Story
Looking for a beautiful dog? How about a smart dog with lots of energy for walks, hikes and play? You’re in luck: Bandit has it all. Besides being gorgeous, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and receiving preventative. He’s still young, and has puppy energy (yes, that means lots of toys to keep him busy, besides an organized plan to make sure he gets plenty of exercise.). He’s smart, affectionate, and loves attention. He responds well to positive training methods and learns fast. He does not do well with cats, but loves people of all sizes.

Story
About Martini Martini is an adorable 1-year-old Chihuahua who weighs just 5 pounds. Despite her small size, her heart is full of love and affection for the right person or couple. Personality Martini is a gentle soul who can be a bit timid, especially around loud noises or sudden movements. Therefore, she would thrive best in a calm and quiet adult-only household. She is not suitable for families with young children, as she tends to get scared easily. Training This little gal is both crate and leash trained, making her a well-behaved companion. She enjoys her walks but is equally content relaxing by your side at home. Background Sadly, Martini's previous owner has passed away, leaving her in need of a new loving home. She is ready to bring joy and companionship to someone who understands her needs. Ideal Home Martini is looking for a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and loved. She would do well with adults who have experience with small dogs or are willing to learn how to care for a Chihuahua. Adoption Details If you're interested in providing Martini with a loving forever home, please reach out to Barking Mad Animal Rescue by filling out the application or emailing barkingmadanimalrescue@gmail.com . They are looking for someone who can offer her the stable and affectionate environment she deserves. Story
Abby's Journey: A Tale of Resilience and Hope A Rough Start Abby, a petite 10-pound, 8-year-old chihuahua, has faced more challenges than most in her small life. After her owner passed away, she was briefly taken in by a kind-hearted lady who found herself unable to care for Abby due to her fearful nature. This led Abby to Barking Mad Animal Rescue (BMAR), in need of a fresh start. When Abby arrived at BMAR, she was in poor condition—underweight, missing patches of hair, and with sores on her skin. She was so frightened that she would bite out of fear and was unfriendly towards other dogs. The Transformation Despite her initial condition, the dedicated team at BMAR worked tirelessly to nurse Abby back to health. With proper care, love, and socialization, Abby blossomed into a beautiful, happy, and shiny little dog. Her transformation was nothing short of miraculous, and she was ready for a new chapter. An Unexpected Turn With high hopes, Abby was sent from Texas to Canada to live with a foster family. Although BMAR managed to raise just $40 towards her $853 bill, they were determined to give her the chance she deserved. Abby was doing well—happy and thriving in her new environment. However, Abby's strong attachment to her foster led to unexpected challenges. She became protective and intolerant of other dogs and people, leading to behavioral issues. As a result, Abby had to return to Texas in April 2025. Back to BMAR Upon her return to BMAR, Abby surprised everyone by reverting to her sweet, angelic self. The team recognized that finding the right home for Abby would take time—a home where she could be the center of attention without competition from other pets. A Call for Support BMAR is committed to finding Abby her perfect forever home. In the meantime, they face financial challenges. Abby's vet bill from eight months ago remains outstanding, and her recent travel expenses have added another $600 to the costs. The rescue mission requires determination and grit, as well as financial support from the community. Abby's story is one of resilience, and BMAR is hopeful that with help, they can secure her a loving home that suits her unique personality. How You Can Help If you are moved by Abby's story and wish to help find her that perfect home, please share and post onto your groups! Together, let's ensure that Abby finds the perfect home where she can continue to shine as the special dog she truly is.

Story
Two siblings came in together....abandoned and at a kill shelter. Gentle giants...well, we thought that was awful so a rescue went and pulled those boys to safety and transferred them to us! They have been delightful. Ranger wanders around the whole farm...he watches out for the livestock, plays with the pack dogs, looks for any people hanging out so he can use his wily ways to get a snack! He's friendly and very gentle....just a peach of a big old guy. He's ready for a home and gets along well with anything that comes his wa! Ranger has been here in rescue over a year, he is 2 years old now, weighs 80 lbs and is a very easy keeper. I am sure he is perfect for your home!
