Meet Lydia! - Belly Scratches Connoisseur! This baby doll of a girl is absolutely head over heals for affection and play sessions! She warms up quickly to the people she has met here at the humane society, and has made it crystal clear that she is all about sharing the love she has stored in her heart! Unfortunately, Lydia has been through multiple environmental changes over the course of her life. This has resulted in her becoming easily overwhelmed and unsure when being placed in new environments. Lydia needs someone who she can count on to give her the gift of decompression and consistency. *FeMale *18 months old *spayed and microchipped *46 lbs *Up to date on vaccines and dewormer *Will be 4DX tested *Adoption Fee: $25

Edgar **DOG SELECTIVE** **Good with cats** This sweet old man came to us after he was found living on horrible conditions. But his personality shines through those hard times he lived in. He is a sweet gentle soul that still has a good bit of energy for his age. He would love a yard where he can wander around and use his hound nose, but also will be very happy netflix and chilling with you. Intake Date: 7/21/25 *Male *11 years old *neutered and microchipped *44 lbs *Being updated on vaccines and dewormer *4DX tested (negative) *Adoption fee: $0

Meet Flower - Executive Play Director Flower is back at our shelter for a second time now. She has been adopted and returned twice. Flower is a sweet girl, bursting at the seams with charm! She is full of joy that is so contagious it travels from her tail, to her whole body! Flower loves nothing more than a good play session and brightening up any room she walks into. Have a favorite game? Flower would love to join in on the fun! Flower is dog selective, so a meet and greet is recommended. * Female * 1 Year and 7 Months Old * Spayed and Microchipped * 50 lbs * UTD on Vaccines and Dewormer * 4DX Tested (Negative) * Adoption Fee: $25

Story
Jack here is the sweetest guy. His foster mom would love to keep him, but she simply has too many. He gets along great with kids, other dogs, and cats. He is older so he sleeps a lot and would love nothing more than a cozy dog bed or a couch to lounge his days away. But he still has lots of pep and energy and would like short walks. He is house trained and will let you know he needs to go. If you aren't around he will hold it (He is kenneled at the fosters when she isn't home.). He is VERY food motivated as most daschunds are. He is not neutered as he has a heart murmur and the decision was made to choose a much needed dental over the neuter. So for now he wears belly bands as most males like to mark (although he doesn't at the foster home but he does when he is in the shelter, most likely from too many smells). It is an option in the future as long as his heart stays strong (blood work looked great). He is up to on vaccines and dewormer. His adoption fee is $50. go to www.hshcwv.org/adopt to submit an application.

Story
Meet the Cheese Litter! These 8 week old pups will be LARGE breeds when full grown. So be prepared for that. Dad is supposedly a Dogo Argenito (type of mastiff) mix, mom is a bully mix of some sort. We highly recommend training for all dogs- but especially any type of mastiff/bully and large breeds. Because if not started early they will learn to 'rule the roost'. They can start going to their new homes this Wednesday Feb 18th. They have received first 4 way vaccine (Parvo/distemper/etc) and bordetella and dewormer. With their adoption they will be due a few more vaccines, as well as microchip, 4DX, Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter when old enough. $150 each to adopt. go to www/hshcwv.org/adopt for the application.
