Story
Sadie is an owner surrender. She is approximately three years old. Had two litters of puppies and no vet care. I found her at a school next door to her house - thin and hungry. A teacher at the school saw her getting bred a few weeks ago. I talked the owner into giving her to me so I could have her spayed and vetted. Going to vet - June 2. She is very sweet and smart. She liked the students at the high school where she hung out with two other strays. She is an “ escape artist” - a hunter and can jump very high. Keep her away from chickens. She will kill them. It’s the breed. Would be great on a farm with other dogs.

Story
Tito is incredibly sweet, affectionate, playful, and loves attention. He has such a big personality packed into a tiny body and loves being close to his people. After a lot of thought, I feel he would do best in a different environment that better fits his needs. He would likely be happiest as an only pet, or possibly with just one other dog. He has been showing some behaviors that make me feel a quieter home may be the best fit for him. This decision was not made lightly at all, and I want to make sure he goes somewhere safe, loving, and permanent. I’m looking for the right home, not just any home. Serious inquiries only please. Please message me for more information.

Story
This big bear of a dog cannot wait to find his people: Meet Oso! He is a big, playful guy who has never met a stranger. Oso is always friendly with people of all ages. He loves going for car rides and playing games of tug. He is a proper gentleman on a leash, and he loves to just be near his favorite people. He has bundles of energy just waiting for someone to play and take him for adventures! The best kind of home for Oso: Oso is an active dog who craves more than a neighborhood walk to be fulfilled. He loves to play games of tug and to chase around his toys. He would be great for an adopter looking to be active with a large dog. Oso is very clean in his space, never making messes or being destructive with bedding. He does best with female dogs, but may prefer to be the king of his castle. His previous family said he did well with cats when supervised.

Maddox

Mixed Breed (Medium)

Male, 3 yrs 2 mos
Ona, WV
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Maddox is young, outgoing, and ready to have all of your attention! He is hugely food motivated, playful, and loves to learn new things. His favorite things are playing with his dog friends and playing tug. This will greatly benefit his adopter, as he is a younger pup who needs lot of guidance. Maddox craves affection, but he is pent up and needs a VERY slow introduction to new people. His future family can help ease that excitement with walks and other activities to stimulate his brain. The best kind of home for Maddox: Maddox has a lot of pent up excitement in the shelter, which is why it is so important for him to find a home before bad habits become his way of life. He is extremely teachable and willing to learn, especially for food, but Maddox would greatly benefit from professional training. He will require someone who can read his cues and interact with him respectfully. His best chance would be with an enthusiastic adopter willing to teach an active young dog new things like how to walk on a leash and calmly ask for affection. He plays very well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.
