Story
Raptor was born on 12/30/2017 and his mom was a full blooded Walker coon hound. His mom came to our home as a stray and was very pregnant. She had a litter of 10 puppies and they were all healthy. Raptor lived outdoors for about 4 years and due to living situation change we were forced to bring him inside or rehome him. We’ve had him inside for 8 months and he is house trained and generally easy to care for. He spends some time outside during the day and will stay close by without being on a leash. He very rarely barks. He does like to chase squirrels. He listens and comes back when called. He walks pretty well on a leash. He hasn’t had formal obedience training but we have done some basics with him. He is used to being around other dogs. He’s not mean to cats in passing outside but has never consistently been around cats inside. He’s afraid of thunderstorms. He has done remarkably well in the house; however, with our young children he is too stressed out.

Story
Shay is very cute with multiple facial expressions. She is high energy, needs yard to run. Great with school age children but to much for little ones. Wants to be in center of action! Loves to snuggle and sit or lay by you. Have been teaching her basic commands such as sit, lay down, stay, to go "back" and "parking" which tells her to move from the driveway ( I have a gate to manually open, go through and then close) . Shay does bark at motorcycles, ATV/Gators and loud pedestrians. She is housebroken but not to "ALERT" as I have a dog door.

Good with dogs,
Story
She was posted on Facebook that she was left in dog area at Joplin Park. I picked her up about 10pm on 9/6/23. The shelter is full, she is on a wait list. I can’t keep her, just trying to help. Very friendly and playful. Can sit, follows me around. She is small, probably around 40 lbs., mixed breed. Kanawha Charleston Humane Society recommended I post her.

Story
I'm Mr. Darcy, and I'm a very shy guy. My friends at the shelter have been gentle and patient with me, so now I'm not nearly as afraid! I'm turning out to be a loving guy who just wants a calm, quiet home. My adoption fee is generously sponsored by West Law Firm to give me a boost in finding a good home!
