Chandler and Joey were brought in by Animal Control after their owner passed away. They are not considered a bonded pair - but we would love for them to get to go together. At 12-years-old, they are understandably having a hard time adjusting to shelter life after losing their person. When coming to visit you will almost always find them snuggled up together. Chandler is a little more on the shy and might run at times. Joey really enjoys petting, chin scratches, and his daily wet food. They're just a couple of mellow oldies looking for somewhere to spend the rest of their golden years.

Chloe needs time to warm up at her own pace, but once she is comfortable in her environment she is the sweetest thing and very curious. She loves a warm lap to curl up on and getting her neck and cheeks scratched. She is the softest thing ever!! She is fine being by herself but loves to have a person around! She loves looking out the window and watching the squirrels and birds. She would be best in a home without young children but is good with older children and adults. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. This decision has not come easy to us but we have decided to rehome our cat Miley. She is around 10 years of age and declawed in the front only. We believe her to be part Maine coon, she weighs around 15 lbs. She has always been strictly an indoor cat. We do have two dogs that she tolerates and they are good about leaving her alone. She has never had a tolerance to children accept our daughter until recently. The older our daughter gets the more aggressive/intolerant she gets around her. It has gotten to the point that our daughter feels unsafe in her own home. She would be the perfect cat for an adult only, pet free home. She will need time to get adjusted to you and require patience while doing so. She mostly stays to herself but in the evenings she likes to curl up in a soft blanket on the couch with you once she gets to know you well. We can send her with food, litter, litter box and her wooden litter box enclosure. Please let me know if you have any questions.
