Story
Meet Rebel: The Independent Explorer Rebel is a completely black kitten, cute as a button, and full of personality. While she doesn't take after either of her parents in looks, she stands out with her own unique charm. Give her a mouse toy or a little ball with a bell, and she'll be entertained for hours. Rebel thrives in the company of her siblings, it would be great to be adopted with one of them. She's also comfortable around adult cats and often enjoys playing with them. Climbing on countertops is one of her favorite activities, showcasing her adventurous spirit. From the day she was born, Rebel has been unafraid to venture off on her own, earning her fitting name. She enjoys some alone time but always appreciates the company of her furry friends. When it's time to nap, she loves curling up under a blanket draped from the couch. Rebel prefers a calm environment. Initially shy with new people, Rebel warms up quickly. Once she trusts you, she'll fill your home with her playful energy, zooming around with her siblings. If you have stairs, even better-she and her siblings will love racing up and down them. Rebel also enjoys watching the world from windows and exploring cat tunnels. Invite Rebel and Tiger into your home, and you'll gain a loving, spirited companion with a zest for life and adventure. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FeLV/FIV negative. Please note that the Misfit Felines policy requires that young kittens will either need a sibling to go home with or there must be another playful/young feline already in the home. Adopters will receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws). Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application. Hershey is a shy boy. Hershey came into rescue along with his sister KitKat and brother Snickers. Because they were born outside to a feral mom, they will take time to warm up. He is looking for a patient family who will give him space to acclimate. Hershey isn't a fan of being pet or picked up, but he will keep you company.

Story
This beautiful girl has given up the street life and is looking for the perfect home where she will be pampered and treated like the queen she is. For several years, she lived on the streets, scrounging around for food, suffering through harsh winters and hot summers without proper shelter, and surviving every hardship she faced. Her life was not an easy one. But this little lady is a force and she survived everything the rough outdoor life threw at her. It took some time, a significant amount of time if I'm being honest, to win this girl over and convince her that people could be pretty okay. She had never known kindness from a human and she was pretty determined to keep her distance from us. But eventually, she learned how to be loved and to love in return. These days, she loves to be with her people, getting all the pets and attention, and snuggling up next to her humans. She seems to have a never-ending curiosity about what her people are up to and loves to follow you around. And at times, she'll just sit and watch and we're pretty sure she's judging our every move Coco is looking for a quiet home with a person or two to keep her company. She would be fine either as a solo cat or with a laid-back mellow cat to keep her company. No doubt, she will be shy at first while she adjusts to her new home and people, but she is a lovely cat and is worth the bit of time it will take for her to acclimate.

Story
Meet Floki and Mani, a bonded pair of FIP survivors looking for their home together! Floki is a gentle, stunning boy with the most gorgeous "Maine Coon" tail you've ever seen! He loves to be loved and, like his sister, gets along well with other cats. Though he doesn't enjoy being picked up, he'll happily stay close by and soak up your affection. Mani is a sweet, playful girl who craves attention and adores her brother. She's always ready for a game and gets along beautifully with other cats. While neither Floki nor Mani are lap cats, they love to be near their humans, ready to share their quiet companionship. If you're looking for a loving, resilient duo, Floki and Mani are the perfect pair! Est. DOB May 2023, they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested Felv negative. Floki tested FIV+ which simply means he has a lower immune system, but can live a normal, long life. FIV+ cats can live with negative cats as long as there is no fighting since FIV is passed via deep bite wounds. Floki & Mani are FIP Survivors. They received 84 days of antiviral injections and passed an additional 84 day observation period. FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no continued care required after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to feline coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation. You can read more about FIP here: https://www.sockfip.org
