Story
Meet Torenia! Torenia is a super sweet and mild mannered lady born late 2022. Torenia was pregnant and scared when dumped in a strange area in the July Texas heat. Luckily she found a shady spot behind a shed and a good samaritan found her and got her to the vet. Once at the vet, she was found to be severely malnourished and unfortunately her babies did not survive. During her recovery her foster was able to see what a lovely personality she has.She can be shy at first, but will warm up nicely if acclimated slowly. She is learning cat behavior and needs someone that will practice patience with her. She gives thanks for her wet food by nuzzling your hand every single time. She needs a human she can trust again. She does play by herself, but enjoys playing chase with the other kitties. She would do well with a playmate about her age or a human that can give her plenty of playtime. She isn't a fan of dogs. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. We cannot reply to all inquiries, but respond to all no obligation applications. Fill out an application at https://webportalapp.com/sp/login/savinghopeanimalrescue-catapplicationportal It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Douglas Fairbanks, a dapper domestic long-hair born in August 2023!  Born to a feral mama in Mansfield, Douglas and his two sisters were too friendly to TNR. Outgoing, curious, and affectionate, Douglas is always eager to meet new friends, greeting one and all with his signature purr.  He enjoys playing tag and wrestling with his sisters, and he's always up for some flirt stick play with his foster.  In quieter moments, he likes to snuggle with his sisters or hop into his foster's lap for a snooze.   He hasn't spent a lot of time around dogs or children, but will do well with proper introductions. Last but not least, he has great litter manners!Douglas Fairbanks is FIV + which just means he has a compromised immune system and can't go outside. He will need her regular vet visits. This isn't contagious and is only spread by blood contact with only other cats. Douglas is healthy and doing great. FIV+ cats can have very long and healthy lives with good care! It's nothing to be afraid of and we are happy to provide further information. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. Story
Meet Mary Pickford, a charming domestic long-hair born in August 2023!   Born to a feral mama in Mansfield, Mary and her brother and sister were too friendly to TNR. Gentle and affectionate, Mary exudes quiet confidence.  She can be a bit reserved at first but warms up quickly, welcoming love and attention from her fosters with her delightful purr.  She likes to play hide and seek with her siblings and "Cat Dancer" with her foster.  When not playing hide and seek with her siblings or "Cat Dancer"  with her foster, she enjoys lounging in the cat tree by the window, keeping an eye on what's going on outside. Although Mary hasn't spent much time her around dogs or children, she's loving and adaptable.  Last but not least, she has excellent litter manners!Mary is FIV + which just means she has a compromised immune system and can't go outside. Story
Tiny, the name given to her by her foster mom, describes how small she was when rescued 9 months ago. Tiny was abandoned, starving, dehydrated and covered in burrs. She fit in the palm of her foster parent’s hand. Through loving care, she has blossomed into a beautiful, long haired tortoiseshell beauty. She still remains petite compared to her feline friends she hangs out with. Tiny loves to play and has a sweet personality. She is shy and hides from new people and surroundings at first but once she settles in she will follow you everywhere. She loves to be held and keep others company. She has been raised totally indoors with a couple of other cats. She has not been exposed to dogs. Because of her shy nature, it may not be the best to live with dogs. She will blossom beautifully as a single kitty as well. Tiny was born approximately 04/15/2023. For questions and more information please contact her foster mom Samantha at 817-781-6177 or email meresown2004@yahoo.com Adoption fee $100. This fee reimburses a portion of the cost of Tiny's vetting. She is fully vetted. She was just spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, & felv/fiv negative. She is not microchipped but we highly suggest this get done asap once she is adopted. Available for adoption in DFW Texas and surrounding cities. If you want to adopt Tiny please fill put the adoption application at https://cowtownpets.org/online-adoption-app/ This cat is a courtesy post and not being fostered by CLASP.

Story
I have Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) but please don`t let that stop you from giving me a loving home!! The shelter staff has added some information below about FIV.Cats that test positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) can live long and healthy lives, sometimes with no symptoms at all. They do require some special care. FIV can be transmitted to other cats, usually through a bite. Therefore, FIV positive cats need to be kept indoors to avoid infecting other neighborhood cats. They can live happily with other cats that are not positve for FIV as long as they get along. In order for a FIV cat to live a long and healthy life, it is important to keep the cat`s immune system strong, with a healthy diet and a stress-free environment. Regular vet checkups are recommended.FIV positive cats can have a difficult time finding homes, even though in all respects they are normal, loving cats. Please don`t allow the FIV stigma to prevent you from opening your heart and home to a wonderful kitty companion.
