Baby is the world's sweetest cat. I adopted her in 2023, she was barely 1yo. Before coming home, she had lived outside as a stray. Baby is extremely shy, and it took her a couple of months to feel comfortable in her new home. She bonded to me quickly, and within a couple of months, she was sleeping in bed with me, snuggling on my lap all the time, and overall just became the sweetest velcro cat- following me to the bathroom, into every room of the house, just wanting to be near me. Baby is very fearful of other people and skiddish, so she would do well in a house without children, but cats and dogs are okay. She has lived with both and done well with them. Baby can bond VERY closely to one person, maybe two, but she needs a quiet home, and patience. I had a stroke and had to move in with my parents, and my mom is extremely allergic to cats. We have tried to make it work, but Baby is stuck in one room and my mother is still having allergy attacks that are quite scary.

Sebastian came to us as a very scared little kitten who wasn’t comfortable with people or much of anything in the world except other cats. While in foster care, he has blossomed into a complete lovebug. He is the type of cat who will follow you around for attention and absolutely loves being petted. However, he gets so excited about getting love that he prefers to walk around you while you’re petting him rather than being held. He’s also quite clumsy for a cat, so it’s often up to the person to ensure he doesn’t fall off whatever he’s on! When greeting other cats, Sebastian doesn’t just do the polite sniff and say hello; he runs his whole body against their face, nose to butt, before continuing on with his day. He loves (or attempts to love) every other cat he meets and has even helped some of our less cat-friendly fosters start accepting other cats in their space. Sebastian is very bonded to one of our other fosters, Sepia, so we will only be adopting the two out together. When Sepia was out of the house for a few days, even with plenty of other cats to play with, Sebastian spent the entire time lying in one of her favorite sleep spots. He didn’t even get up for wet food, and he’s usually one of the first ones waiting in line for breakfast and dinner. If he wakes up and isn’t sure where Sepia is, he starts making sad, lost kitten mews. Good with cats and dogs. He lives in a foster home and his brother, Puffy, was just adopted. She gets along with other cats but has thus far not allowed much human contact, although she is constantly watching her foster parents and seems to want to be in the same room. She would make a wonderful companion cat for an only cat who needs company. Kaylee is spayed, microchipped, combo tested, vaccinated, and litter trained. My name is Marnie and I am beautiful, smart, and relaxed!  I was found behind a store where several people pet me, fed me and gave me water. This was good, but what I really wanted was for someone to take me home. Finally, someone got the right idea and took me home to be their forever kitty. They really loved me, but I did not like their dog and I’m not sure I liked their cat. Because of this, I could not stay at their home. Fortunately, they found Texas CARES, who took me in to find me a forever home that will stick! Oh, I don’t like my foster mom’s kitties either! They are nosey brutes! If I got a new cat sibling that left me alone, I might be fine. I am not a crazy kitty girl like so many other kitties, but I am extremely loving, enjoy laying on your lap while I sleep, sitting near you touching while we just hang, and giving you head bonks to inspire you to keep petting me. I will play with toys for a bit, but mostly if you play with me. Maybe I’ll get more into the toy thing, but for now, you will be my favorite thing! I just love being with my foster mom and getting hugs. I use the litter box perfectly, love wet food, treats, and just being around. All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Casey:  Snowshoe Siamese, DOB 4/12/18, Male, affectionately know as Big Daddy Sasha: Turkish Van Calico, DOB 10/26/21, female Casey and Sasha ended up in a local shelter when their owner died, and the executor of the estate didn’t know what to do with the cats.  The owner originally adopted Casey from Cat Matchers when he was a kitten.  Luckily, he had a microchip and we were contacted.  Sasha was adopted by the owner through a different rescue group.  Per the shelter, the rescue declined to take Sasha back.  Casey and Sasha were sitting on top of each other in the shelter cages.  They were terrified and bonded to the point that if they could have crawled into each other’s body, they probably would have.  Cat Matchers decided to take Sasha back in with Casey.  There was a 3rd cat from this owner that also came through a different rescue.  Cat Matchers took this one as well.  The 3rd cat wasn’t very bonded to this pair, so we were able to get her adopted on her own. Casey and Sasha were really depressed and stopped eating for a while.  They had to be syringe and hand fed at first.   Casey had all of his teeth removed prior to our picking him up from the shelter.   Sasha ended up needing her teeth removed as well, so we took care of that.    Even though they are missing their teeth, they can eat small kibble dry food and wet food just fine. Sasha is very affectionate. She likes to be held. She will put both her arms around your neck, hang on tight and kiss and kiss and kiss she does kiss a lot and it can be annoying to the wrong person. Big daddy is very outgoing and very friendly. He’s not a giant fan of being held but maybe down the road. It’s not fear it’s just he’s really playful and outgoing and he loves baby talk so if whoever picks him up could baby talk with him that would go a long way to keeping him from reverting back to fear and would be great given all that he’s been through. He really responds to baby talk. These 2 wonderful cats are bonded and should be adopted together. We hope you can find it in your heart to adopt an older pair of cats and give them a forever home to call their own. Sasha is a charming Turkish Van calico cat, with a heart as gentle as her purrs. She was adopted as a kitten but the owners life changed and now she is in need of her forever home with her adoptive brother, Casey.  Sasha can seem a bit shy when you first meet, however, with gentle affection she will quickly warm up and her true friendly nature will shine through.  Once she feels safe, Sasha will curl up in your lap, purring her sweet purr. She had her shots, spayed, microchip, etc and  is ready to become a treasured member of your family. Will you be the one to give her the forever home she deserves?  They deserve a home for 2026!!
