Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com Meet Tippy Toes! Tippy is a total cuddle bug who loves being carried around the house like a baby, especially if chin scratches are involved. He adores gentle head rubs, enjoys catnip, and rewards his people with loud purrs, sweet leg rubs, and nonstop affection. He’s incredibly social, confident, and friendly, not shy at all, and does wonderfully with kids. Rescued from a shelter at just 5 weeks old, Tippy was diagnosed with nerve damage in his left back leg, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He does everything other kittens do, climbing, chasing, pouncing, and playing, just with a little extra flair. Beep is bonded to Tippy, and the two must be adopted together. They snuggle, play, and truly bring out the best in each other. Tippy provides constant love and comfort to Beep, and you’ll often find them curled up together, hugging during naps or sweetly grooming one another. Tippy is fully litter trained, eats both wet and dry food, and uses a smart feeder and water fountain like a pro. Because of his back leg and nerve injury, it’s important that Tippy maintains a healthy weight and is not overfed, as this helps reduce strain and supports his long-term mobility. One important note: Tippy is a darter and very curious, so adopters will need to be mindful around doors and ensure he stays safely indoors. Running outside could be dangerous for him due to his back leg.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please contact NTCR AT 214-454-9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com.December 21, 2025, 11:09 am

Story
Meet Brownie. This gorgeous girl is a three-year-old, medium-haired tortoiseshell with the softest fur and the most soulful eyes. She’s a big, fluffy beauty who turns heads wherever she goes — but it’s her gentle heart that truly makes her special. She was adopted a couple of years ago but recently returned when she and the other cat in the home (her littermate) just couldn’t find harmony. Sometimes even family doesn’t mean “best fit,” and that’s okay — it simply helped us learn what she truly needs to thrive. She’s a shy, quiet soul who blossoms with patience. Once she feels safe, she shows her affection on her terms — sweet, calm companionship, soft purrs, and a steady presence by your side. She’s not demanding or loud, just beautifully content sharing space with someone who understands that trust takes time. This lovely girl would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can be the center of attention without competition. A calm household with older children would suit her well, as she appreciates gentle interactions and predictable routines. She has excellent litter box manners, is fully vetted, microchipped, and ready for her next chapter — one filled with kindness, understanding, and love. If you’re looking for a peaceful, devoted companion who will reward your patience with quiet affection and unwavering loyalty, this pretty tortie may be the one your heart has been waiting for.

Story
All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Meet Sebastian!  The great!! Sebastian came to us as a very scared little kitten who wasn’t comfortable with people or much of anything in the world except other cats. While in foster care, he has blossomed into a complete lovebug. He is the type of cat who will follow you around for attention and absolutely loves being petted. However, he gets so excited about getting love that he prefers to walk around you while you’re petting him rather than being held. He’s also quite clumsy for a cat, so it’s often up to the person to ensure he doesn’t fall off whatever he’s on! When greeting other cats, Sebastian doesn’t just do the polite sniff and say hello; he runs his whole body against their face, nose to butt, before continuing on with his day. He loves (or attempts to love) every other cat he meets and has even helped some of our less cat-friendly fosters start accepting other cats in their space. Sebastian is very bonded to one of our other fosters, Sepia, so we will only be adopting the two out together. When Sepia was out of the house for a few days, even with plenty of other cats to play with, Sebastian spent the entire time lying in one of her favorite sleep spots. He didn’t even get up for wet food, and he’s usually one of the first ones waiting in line for breakfast and dinner. If he wakes up and isn’t sure where Sepia is, he starts making sad, lost kitten mews. System ID: HFL-101-22 (AW) Date of Birth: 7/24/21 If you think you could provide a loving home for both Sebastian and Sepia, please reach out and give these bonded buddies the forever home they deserve.
