Story
Elvis is six weeks old as of June 8 and can be pre-adopted and go home when he's seven weeks old. He's your typical playful, affectionate, and social kitten. He is in foster care with his sister Elise who is also available for adoption. They're doing great with litter box training.   Elvis and Elise are the perfect combination of playful, affectionate, and easygoing. They adore chasing each other around the house, wrestling, and exploring together, but they're equally happy curling up for a nap in a cozy blanket or stretching out on a warm lap for cuddles. They've grown up in a busy home with our children (ages 12 and 8), as well as other cats and dogs, so they're well-socialized and comfortable around both people and pets. Whether they're perched on their cat tree, snoozing in a cozy spot, or purring contentedly beside their favorite humans, they bring joy wherever they go. In a perfect world, we'd love to see these best friends adopted together so they can continue their lifelong adventure side by side. That said, what matters most is finding loving homes where they will be cherished and spoiled the way they deserve. Like with any kitten, he needs a family who has time to spend with him and ability to provide him with lots of enrichment. If you're interested, please apply online and we'll be in touch. Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society $150 fee includes kitten vaccines, dewormer, a one-year rabies vaccine, microchip and registration, and spay/neuter. Adopter will take the pet to an LHS-approved vet to be spayed/neutered at 16 weeks of age per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance with Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code.We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Paul is an incredibly affectionate 4-year-old, domestic medium hair cat with a gentle and loving personality. If you sit down, there is a very good chance he'll immediately climb into your lap to keep you company. He is the type of cat that truly enjoys being close to his people and turns any house into a home with his sweet nature. Paul is FIV positive and FeLV negative. FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, affects a cat’s immune system, but many FIV positive cats live long, happy, and completely normal lives with proper care and regular veterinary visits. FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds between cats and is not typically transmitted through casual contact such as sharing food bowls, grooming, or cuddling. Because of this, many FIV positive cats can safely live with other friendly, nonaggressive cats. At this time, Paul does not require any special medication or treatment. He simply deserves a loving indoor home where he can remain healthy, safe, and cared for like any other cat. Paul is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. His fee is $100 and you can apply to adopt him here:  Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com He’s a big-hearted, affectionate boy with a personality that’s hard to miss. He absolutely loves head scratches and attention, but like any true king, he prefers it on his own terms. That said, he’s never one to turn down love when it’s offered—he just likes to feel like it’s his idea. He can be a little shy with new people at first, but he’s always been the best, most easygoing cat once he settles in. He has this calm, confident, almost “royal” presence about him—like he knows he’s special (and honestly, he is). He’s grown up in a busy home with lots of people and other animals, so he’s well-adjusted and used to a lively environment. He does best with others who respect his space—especially with other male cats, he tends to keep to himself unless bothered. Give him his peace, and he’ll happily coexist. He’s also proudly a spoiled boy who loves his snacks and the good life. You’ll often find him stretched out on his back in a sunny spot, completely relaxed, soaking it all in. And if you catch him in the right mood, he’ll even allow some belly rubs—which feels like a special honor. Overall, he’s a loving, laid-back companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please contact NTCR AT 214-454-9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Story
We were given Judas & his other sibling after we suffered a heartbreaking loss of our first cat. Judas is now 2 years old, he can be shy & timid at first but he warms up to you quickly. He loves cuddling up next to you or under the blanket, he loves belly rubs & he loves finding tiny objects to play with. He does well with other cats & with dogs as well. He does not like loud noises , so a calm home would be best for him. He is also neutered.
