Age/DOB: 7-14-2021 HI, I’m Tsunami! I’m part of the “Naturals” litter (Me, Typhoon, Tornado, Hurricane and Monsoon)! So far Hurricane, Tornado and Monsoon have been adopted and now I’m hoping it’s my turn. My littermates and I came to Purrs & Whiskers (P&W) a little later than most kittens (4/5 mons old), so we have had a bit of a long road adjusting to life inside as far as getting comfortable with hoomans goes. We are all sweet cats, certified as Master Litter Box users, and definitely love a good Churu cat treat. I am a bit shy – my foster mom calls me a “decoration kitty” because I am beautiful and look amazing with my long hair wherever I am – but I am still learning to trust being “boldly” approached by you hooman types! I love to be pet, sleep in my foster mom's bed, but I’m always a little suspicious as to why you want to touch me all the time! So, usually I prefer you do that when I’m in my cat tree or window hammock. I don’t bite, scratch or hiss, I just kind of slink away. I’m in with Typhoon and another sweet kitty, Pumpkin, right now, so they are my best buds and help build my confidence. But if it’s dinner time, trust me,my confidence is all there and I’m there and looking at you with my soulful eyes, ready to eat! If I were to picture my purrfect home, it would be a quiet home with some empty nesters or a single person that doesn’t have small children in his/her future plans.  I would probably be fine with other cats (I am fostered with several right now, but mostly Pumpkin & Typhoon) and maybe a dog or two (if they aren’t too rambunctious). I know it’s asking a lot for someone to take a serious look at me to be part of their family, but my foster mom thinks that in the right home, I will flourish and be that kitty you would love to have! Unfortunately, her world changed forever when she was hit by a car and was left unable to move with injured back legs. She was taken to a local vet who referred her to Soi Dog Foundation for the medical treatment she clearly needed. Freebie was given a safe place to stay, plenty of food and the time she needed to recover from her injuries. Unfortunately, shortly after arrival to the shelter, Freebie tested positive for FIV. FIV simply means she has a less effective immune system. Cats with FIV can live as long as non-FIV cats with good diet and care. She's doing great now and has flown around the world for a new life! Once in the US, Freebie had a dental where they extracted 18 teeth! She'll be eating mostly wet food for life, but there will be no more dental issues to give her a hard time! Freebie is on prescription kidney diet for now. Freebie enjoys her pets, meeting people, and is very much of a lap cat! That said, she can also be an independent girl who sticks to her own space. That is a cat's prerogative! Her fosters find that she's a very talkative girl who will eagerly greet you with many meows when you walk in the door. She will enjoy the occasional toy but isn't too picky - sometimes just a string or tinfoil ball will do the trick! She likes looking out the window and chilling out on soft blankets. Thomas is very sweet and smart boy. He is quick to learn anything: tricks, treats, not to scratch furniture, playing 'track the wiggly thing under the blanket and guess where it pops out next'. Thomas is not afraid of anything, and his foster mom thinks he wants to be an engineer when he grows up. He wants to investigate close up the running vacuum cleaner, the saw blade (!), even the lawnmower out the window. He has beautiful long fine fur and loves to be brushed and scratched. He is such a hoot to watch when he slides on hard floors because of the tufts of fur between his toes. He is very sensitive to allergens such as dust. He needs a high quality diet and needs to be on meds to keep his sensitive skin at bay. He loves to sleep in the sun, greet people at the door, follow his human around, and he claims a spot on the bed right next to you. He is not clingy and is just happy in a busy home where he can watch and participate and play. Thomas loved his dog buddy in his previous foster home, and he is great with small children! Darling Puff came to us with her two siblings (Smudge and Munch) and her mother (Big Mama) after their owner passed away. She is a very loving kitty who just wants to be petted and brushed.
