Story
Piccadilly the cat is a handsome gray gentleman with a surprisingly high-pitched little meow that doesn’t quite match his dignified looks. He’s a friendly, social guy who will politely tell you when it’s time for attention, weaving around your legs or chiming in with his squeaky voice to request pets! He’s not a fan of being picked up, but if you sit or crouch down to his level, he’s all about pets and good cheek scratches! Here at the shelter, Piccadilly has been working on recovering from a facial wound, and for a while he wore a cone that made him look like a proper old English gentleman in a stiff collar—hence his name. He’s healing up nicely now and is more than ready to find a cozy home of his own. Piccadilly is looking for a family who will treat him with care, listen to his little meows, and shower him with the affection and attention he so clearly deserves! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt

Story
How gorgeous are these guys?? And they come with bonus toes, just like their mama! These cuties were rescued with their mama and five bottle baby kittens. From the very beginning, they were protective of the babies in their care, putting the needs of the kittens before their own. Now that everybody is grown, these guys are showing their true personalities. Travie is quiet for a kitten. She prefers to watch what's going on around her. She loves hanging with her brother Jason and her mama. As she grows, her fur gets a sort of mad scientist craziness. Don't let that deter you - Travie is SO sweet and ready for someone to show her a lifetime of love. Jason is the biggest and boldest of the pair. He will come charging into watch the action and has no problems setting boundaries with the resident dogs. Jason and Travie would love to go to a home together, preferably with no dogs. They are not fans of the chaos dogs bring. Questions About this Animal? Please email hart90office@gmail.com View My Profile: https://new.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/HRT-A-408

Story
This brown floof purrs constantly! Sometimes it’s happiness, sometimes it’s nervousness. He is easily startled by noises and sudden movements, so he would prefer to have a calm, quiet, predictable home with no small children (teenage and up, please). He is good buddies with his roommate, Basil, and he is interested in meeting other cats. It is unknown how he would be around dogs. Aidan enjoys pets down his back and around his chin, but if he gets over-stimulated he can give little love bites. His fluffy belly is a tease and if you don’t resist the urge to touch it, you may be met with teeth and claws. While Aidan likes to be pet, he does not like to be picked up. He can be held for a few minutes with a little struggle though… long enough to get into a carrier when necessary. Aidan requires patient, cat-savvy humans who will let him warm up and settle in at his own pace. Aidan is neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLv and FIV. His estimated birthdate is May 2025.
