Story
Berkeley is a 6 year-old domestic medium hair. She is a curious, sweet girl. She is not shy -- in fact, she really enjoys the company of humans and meeting new people. While she enjoys being around others, she does not enjoy being pet without her permission or picked up for more than a few seconds. She prefers to lounge and catnap around the house instead of active play, watching her humans do whatever it is they do. She rarely vocalizes, but if you listen closely you can hear her chirping in place of purring. She is relatively respectful of furniture if she has opportunities to scratch. She almost always has excellent potty training, except for when she is feeling really lonely (e.g., when her human is on a trip). She's looking for a medium or large-sized space to explore and make her own. Unsure how she is with kids or other cats; the former, she will probably like as long as they are respectful of her autonomy.

Story
Never ever ever have we seen cats who snuggle and love on each other as much as these three!!!  Will you help us keep them together? If you are ready to adopt or foster this family of 3, read on. Their foster mom is moving but will NOT abandon them like everyone has in the past.    BOOTS (Socks): handsome brown with auburn and white tuxedo tabby, striped, ticked and spotted! He is catnip to his 2 wives!! They CRAVE being near him!! Boots loves to be petted, but NOT on the neck or chin. They were saved from the scary outdoors, and this is a remnant of his protective behavior. Cover up with a blanket, and Boots will come to your lap and knead his paws like he is marching! You'll need a thick blanket!! He likes to snuggle at your feet and in your lap. If he is at your feet on a bed or recliner, then the wives will lay there too. While cats aren't usually allowed on the kitchen table or counter, Boots insists on jumping up to rub all over human heads, faces, shoulders, elbows, give headbutts and generally just take in all the affection. When he is in charge, you can touch his face and hear his gentle purr in your ear.    SASHA (Minxie): beautiful long-fur marble/swirl tabby with short legs, a short tail and a cute turned-up nose! Her side profile is definitely different from any cat we have seen. She is Boots' little shorty girl, for sure! Even if he is lounging on a small cat tree or shelf, she wriggles her way next to or even on top of him!! She rolls around and rubs her face all over him, so lovingly. Then they proceed to kiss and groom each other.  She walks next to him in sync, sometimes even touching shoulders. They look like show horses in a parade!! Sasha is very food motivated. She will eat canned food and treats from your hand, even climbing on top of you or in your lap to get the food!! While it's clear she craves affection, she doesn't yet allow humans to rub her. We know she will love it. She is starting to greet her foster mom's hand with a nose touch.    HOLLYWOOD: shiny, sleek, slinky black mini-panther. She is a stunning site when she saunters through the house, deserving of a Hollywood catwalk!! She is also very in love with Boots and will snuggle in with him almost anywhere. Then the kissing and grooming begins.  She comes romping out to play with Boots and Sasha. All 3 love to play! Boots and Sasha play with many toys and sometimes romp with other cats in the home. Hollywood reserves her snuggles and play time for Boots and Sasha. They all love each other -- there is no jealousy between the 2 wives!! Hollywood is finally becoming food-motivated, meaning you can now use special food and treats to lure and socialize her. But she prefers to play cat games on the phone or computer! If you open CatAlone2 or other cat apps and lay your phone or tablet on the bed next to you, Hollywood can't resist. :)   These fur-babies were feral/abandoned and being fed by a nice lady. Then she sold her house and left them behind. The new owner threatened to poison them. A new CC foster mom rescued them with no idea what to do next. They absolutely adore the relaxed indoor life and are very happy. Boots has been tame and adoptable for many, many months. He has responded well to human love and affection. What a privilege to see him transform! We didn't adopt him out yet because his 2 wives are so attached to him. The females are spending more and more time near their humans, including sitting in the windowsill right next to the couch, gazing at birds and squirrels at the feeders just on the other side of the glass. The girls are pack animals, wanting to be in the vicinity of Boots and the humans. They now come closer and closer, but have to compete with many other cats for attention and tend to take a back seat. They would progress quickly in a home with fewer other cats.  Are you the amazing cat lover who will adopt or foster all 3?  Fully vetted. Indoors only.   To be considered as a foster or forever home for this little family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.    July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Boots would love to snuggle up with your female kitty!!   Boots is a handsome brown with auburn and white tuxedo tabby, striped, ticked and spotted! Boots is a lap cat and loves to be petted, but NOT on the neck or chin. He was saved from the scary outdoors, and this is a remnant of his protective behavior. Cover up with a blanket, and Boots will come to your lap and knead his paws like he is marching! Only lovin'. &#226&#157&#164   Boots was a stray, being fed outdoors by a nice lady. Then she sold her house and left him behind. The new homeowner threatened to poison him. A new CC foster mom rescued him. He absolutely adores the relaxed indoor life and is very happy. He plays like a kitten!    Boots is a lover, not a fighter. He would really like to snuggle and play with another kitty, preferably a sweet female. If an aggressive male comes at Boots, he will just hide and he will not be a happy boy.    Boots has some touches of beautiful auburn, some which can only be seen when you rub his belly. But check out his profile pics, and you can see part of the auburn !! We rarely see a tabby with this coloration, especially a male.    If Boots is adopted in the greater Nashville area, he can be hand-delivered by his foster mom, which always seems to help the kitty relax and adjust more quickly.    Fully vetted. Indoors only. To be considered as a foster or forever home please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Have you ever seen such an unforgettable face on a tuxedo cat?  Our handsome one year old 12 pound boy is called General Meow.  A cat that started as a kitten born to a stray momma who raised them in the great outdoors with no care or shelter for his challenged mother. The Gods were this litter of 4 born to a shy and feral momma.  She raised General Meow and then brought him and his siblings up to a home in a neighborhood seeking food and water.  For quite some time they were all fed outside and the humans tried to make friends with the kittens and momma.  The kittens became easier to make friends with and although still scared, the kittens are a year old now and just merely shy with new people.  Not running away anymore.  General Meow is by far the friendliest of the littermates and has warmed up quite a bit in the first week of being inside a foster home. He loves tummy rubs and sitting in the window as well as playtime.  He loves to get scratches and roll around showing his belly which means total trust.  He is very loving and is still getting used to all the new things of being an inside cat. He is really getting more comfortable with the foster mom and faster than Chester.  His playtime with the foster mom has helped Chester to come out & play too.  These cats that started out with no chance for survival, have beat the odds and now we are going to make sure they have adoptive families that will be patient and allow them to unfold with love and trust.  General Meow is truly THERE with his love and trust and we just want it to be polished with your efforts to give him your loving attention.  If you are interested please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   He is well on his way now. July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
So many stories in the rescue world about cats and they all seem to have the same start all too often and too sad.  This stunning grey tabby and white boy is called Chester, he is just barely one year of age and born to a stray momma cat.  Living outdoors all his life, his momma brought him and his littermates to a family house where she hoped to be fed and to care for her litter born outside a home.  Somehow her 4 kittens survived and here is Chester to prove that miracles can happen for these lost and forgotten mommas and their babies.  Chester is now a very handsome 13 pound boy that has been invited inside a foster home and is being given the wide berth to relax and make himself at home as a pampered and well fed adult cat.  He’s still super shy and will hide a lot under the bed, but he is starting to come out for some play time and chin scratches.  In just 4 days he has made such strides and advancements to allow toys to entice him to come out several times without fear and allow his new foster mom Joyce to pet him and given him chin rubs.  He is learning to be petted and to trust this new foster mom.  He and his littermates are all grown up but very young and they are getting better with the litterbox training and are eating with a hearty appetite.  We feel that time and patience will see Chester and his siblings stay out from under a bed or in hiding more and more as they learn they are safe and have a promise of food and love every day for the rest of their life.  If you are interested in helping Chester learn daily how to receive love and be happy with being touched, then please email us and ask to foster him or adopt him.   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com we are anxious to find a capable home to love him all the way. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.  July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Pumpkin fell out of a moving truck around 5 weeks of age. My family took him home and to the vet, nurtured him to health, and have had him for about 2 years now. He weighs roughly 7 lbs now as an adult. Unfortunately, he is terrified of our dog and spends a lot of time in hiding. When the dog is asleep, he is the biggest and sweetest snuggle bug! He loves to lay on your lap with a blanket and make biscuits. He doesn't say much, but will chirp, purr, and nudge when he wants attention. We are looking for a home when he will get a lot of love, no dogs, and willing to brush him (he doesn't mind brushing).

Don't let the name fool you - this baby is anything but evil. She is a polydactyl, and super chill and sweet. She's a cuddle bug. Comes from a litter of 7, if you are looking for a pair. I wouldn't say she's bonded to a particular litter mate, but her orange brother Finn matches her energy and they seem to hang out together the most. This litter is 8 weeks old and fully weaned and litter trained.

Hemingway Girl This sweet girl is all ears and VOICE! She will follow you everywhere and be underfoot, but don't worry, you will always know exactly where she is because of the VOLUME! She is loud and demanding, and very playful. She would do well with another cat, or one of her litter mates if you are looking for a pair. This litter is 8 weeks old, fully weaned and litter trained.

This guy will keep you laughing. He's very active and loves toys and sneaking up on them and his litter mates. He climbs and pounces and he is hilarious. Would be great with another cat or kitten (litter mates available) but might annoy a much older cat. This litter of 7 is 8 weeks old and fully weaned and litter trained.

Story
I've had Beaver for about 8 years now since he was 1 year old. He's moved with me from Maryland to Arizona and now to Virginia. He's always been very playful and loving. However, he's recently been experiencing some behavioral issues and due to time constraints with upcoming work projects, I just won't have the time to tend to them. I would love for a loving owner to take in my best friend of the past 8 years that'll give him the love and attention he needs.
