Story
Note: Baby Princess needs an experienced cat caretaker who can manage her daily care. Baby Princess's Personality Baby Princess is a tiny girl with fluffy soft grey fur and HUGE round eyes. She is a feisty, high energy kitty who loves playing as much as snuggling with her foster family. Princess's favorite place is on your lap or shoulders. Her spirit and strong will have helped Princess overcome many challenges, and her happy disposition impresses everyone.  Baby Princess is a great little hunter who loves to carry toy mice around and chase balls. She also loves playing with and chasing her kitty buddy, Spooky. When they aren't playing, they are often cuddled up together for a nap. Princess is very well behaved with the 6 year old boy in her foster home and lets him pick her up and carry her around. Princess also did very well with the family's senior dog who recently passed away. Princess is special needs due to her chronic rhinitis (nasal inflammation). As a tiny kitten, she had chronic upper respiratory infections which led to scar tissue in her nasal passage. She may also have environmental allergies which further inflame her condition (she seems to be especially sensitive to dust - so sweeping floors and vacuuming often is needed). Princess also has food allergies which requires prescription food. SPCA has done extensive testing and tried various treatments. Her rhinitis and allergies are stable, but require daily care. She currently gets saline drops in her nose followed by suction with an electric nasal aspirator (designed for infants). Princess also gets probiotics, immune system supplements, an antihistamine (Cerenia) and eats prescription food (Hills ZD dry food, Royal Canin rabbit canned food). Amazingly, Princess's conditions don't slow her down one bit. She is such a happy little camper! What Type of Home Princess Needs Baby Princess could fit into just about any home - quiet or active - as long as her caretaker has the time, experience and financial resources to continue her care. However, a more active home with more than one person and tons of toys and a friendly kitty friend will make her happiest. She needs to have people around - someone who works from home would be ideal - to give her a lot of snuggles and attention. Princess has a tendency to chew on plastic bags and small objects - sometimes swallowing them. So very careful kitten proofing is needed. Where Baby Princess Came From Princess was rescued from outdoors as young kitten found on the side of a road in rural Virginia. She was tiny - just 3 weeks old when rescued and needed to be bottle fed. Princess was initially taken to a rural Virginia shelter then transferred to a small rescue organization then later transferred to SPCA's care.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Good with kids, Not good with cats,
Story
Note: Dolly gave birth to 6 kittens end of August. She will be available for adoption by mid-November after her kittens are weaned and she is spayed. Dolly's Personality Dolly is a truly amazing kitty. She is not shy one bit. This beautiful girl is very friendly with everyone she meets. Dolly's outgoing personality saved her life - she was found outdoors looking for food, love and a safe haven from oppressive heat outdoors in August. She loves being petted - anything to get the love and affection she was denied while living outdoors fending for herself. Dolly is also very playful - she still acts like a kitten! What Type of Home Dolly Needs Dolly's forever home needs to have plenty of room for her to roam around and have multiple people to interact with. She would be great for a family with older kids. Dolly will probably need to be the only cat in her forever home. She hasn't been 'tested' with dogs. She may do find but would insist on being the 'queen of her castle.' Where Dolly Came From Dolly came into our care by accident. One of our volunteers was visiting family in Nashville, TN when she spotted this beautiful, emaciated girl. Unable to find an animal rescue in Nashville to help, our volunteer boarded a plane with Dolly and brought her to Northern VA. To honor her roots in Nashville - home of country music - we named her Dolly (Parton).PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. With his calm demeanor and loving nature, he's the perfect lap cat for anyone seeking a cuddly and comforting feline friend. One of Stream's most endearing qualities is his loving nature. He's a cat who thrives on human companionship and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up next to you, whether you're watching TV, reading a book, or simply relaxing. Not good with dogs,
Story
Eevee is a super affection tuxedo baby girl, but she just needs to warm up to you. She is the quintessential kitty, who does not want to be approached or touched unless she is comfortable. Once she is comfortable with you she loves to cuddle and enjoys head scratches. She also loves to play with feather toys and lasers and is very food motivated. Eevee would do best in a home without dogs.

Story
Our handsome boy has many names because he has many wonderful and fun personalities to get to know.  His official birth name is Tobias but lovingly called Toe-Beans or Toby, is what he is most often called.  This handsome grey tabby boy that is 5 years old and weighs 10 pounds is as sweet and cuddly as he is handsome.  The reason this wonderful cat needs a new home is that he is living in a house with busy children and other cats that just stress him out.  Because of this he suffers from anxiety that regularly causes him to have crystals in his urine. But once he relaxes, he wants to be at your feet, in your lap, and getting his belly rubbed. He has never lashed out and is very gentle with children but children are busy and activity in a home with young children is probably a stimulant for the urine crystals.  Toby has all of his vaccinations and aside from urinary issues, is very healthy. He loves belly rubs, snacks, and being in the bathroom while you shower.  He is a true companion cat that just needs the focus and solitude of being someone’s ONE AND ONLY CAT. He does not like dogs, people knocking at the front door, or strangers in the house. This boy is just a bit of a loving recluse and loner from too many activities and people moving through his home.  He is totally healthy except for occasional crystals which we know come from the stress of too much coming into his environment.  We know there are many people that can relate to this need in their life. Just some solitude and some peace.  Toby is a wonderful boy that will be your soul mate in love and life.   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  He is ready for a new life.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 29, 2023, 2:18 pm

Story
This is Darling Della and her story of losing her owner to death and the family left behind just put her outside and left her. A neighbor realized what had been going on and contacted Critter Cavalry Rescue to help take her in.  This beautiful 3 year old was rescued and taken to the vet and was determined to be FIV+.  But these days we know it is not a terminal condition at all.   FIV+ cats live long lives if you are aware of any respiratory downturns.  This girl is totally healthy and we promise that this loving girl will make you so happy to invite her to come home with you. Darling Della is not afraid of invading your personal space with rubs and purrs.  She gets along with other cats too.  She has had all her shots and is ready to go to a more youthful and loving home.   Contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.!September 29, 2023, 2:18 pm
