Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Moka Fluff.  I was found outside in a feral colony along with Tiger and was too young to fend for myself.  I get along well with other cats but am still quite cautious with humans.  I need time and patience to get comfortable.  I would like a quiet, forever home where I can settle in with Tiger or another kitty friend.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. April 19, 2024, 8:16 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Angel.  The folks here at KSC say I'm a beautiful girl.  I'm definitely funny and a bit quirky; I'm still getting used to everything here.  I think I would really like a forever home where I can be your one and only kitty.  I would like to be the princess! I need lots of attention and companionship and will tell you about it if I don't get it. Some say I am a bit of a diva, I just think I am particular and know there is a particular family out there looking for me!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. April 19, 2024, 8:16 pm

Story
Winston is a shy but very clingy little guy. He does not like it when he cannot see or find everyone in the house, and will let you know. He also hates cellphones… whether you’re on the toilet or the sofa, he will jump into your lap and bat it away. He is incredibly talkative, and loves to be chased around. It’s also advisable to keep his nails trimmed because he loves making biscuits on your lap. Winston is ~6 years old. We adopted him from a shelter when he was a kitten and he has been around other cats all his life. We have two other cats who have more dominant personalities. Because Winston is shy and passive, we have difficulties preventing the other cats from eating his food as he will only eat once the coast is clear. We've tried multiple different strategies, but ultimately struggling since we can't be home all the time to monitor making sure he eats.

Story
Onyx is a very sweet boy that has learned to trust humans slowly but surely since being rescued. He loves the company of other kitties and would do best in a home with other cats where he can continue to be socialized and build his confidence. Onyx is a great listener and enjoys his routine to make him feel as comfortable as possible in a new environment. His foster mom has taught him how to give head boops and kisses and would be happy to work with his new family to show them how to continue helping Onyx become the perfect house cat. Onyx needs to be adopted by a cat experienced adopter that is willing to give him time and patience as he acclimates to his new home. Story
Meet Buddy! She's a friendly indoor/outdoor cat looking for her end game. She embodies cat qualities: loyal, affectionate, loving, slow blinks and chasing toys. She is looking to be your only cat. She's a domestic medium hair tabby with a soft, shiny coat, big green eyes and a fluffy tail. Her shots and health care is up to date, records provided. She's approx 9 yrs old and weighs 10 pounds. She has lived outside where dogs chase her and there are cars close by. Rescuing her would take her out of danger. She has an eartip because she was spayed, microchipped and vaccinated initially as an outdoor community cat. What's she's looking for in an adopter: treats! Playtime with toys, having a catio / safe access to the outside, affection, brushing her, a warm home and your patience. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Story
Hey there, I'm Noris, a charming and dashing feline on a journey to find my forever home. At approximately 2 years old, I've already traveled quite a distance – all the way from Kuwait! But my adventurous spirit and longing for a loving family brought me here. My rescue story began in a construction area where I was abandoned, but I haven't let that dampen my spirits. I'm a social butterfly who thrives on being the center of attention. You'll often find me perched atop a cat tree, surveying my domain from a window, or trotting after my favorite humans, eager for some quality time together. I'm not just a pretty face; I've got plenty of personality to match. I'm an active fellow who adores head rubs and lively play sessions. And let me tell you, I'm an absolute pro at making biscuits – it's a skill I've honed to perfection. However, I must admit, I have a tendency to give little love nips during my affectionate moments. So I'm looking for a home without young children where my playful antics will be appreciated and understood. A seasoned cat person who understands my expression of love and will help me learn that it's unacceptable would be purrfect . While I may not be a purebred, I've been told I have many traits reminiscent of a Persian cat – quite the compliment if you ask me! I thrive in the company of other young cats or with someone who's home often and willing to lavish me with love and affection. Rest assured, I come with all the necessary credentials. I'm up-to-date medically, microchipped and ready to embark on this new chapter of my life. I'd love for you to meet me in my Lorton, VA foster home. Let's see if we're meant to be lifelong companions. I'll be eagerly awaiting your visit! Updated 4/9/24 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/WUG4ad6LFiQ

Story
Meet McMurphy! Once this sweet boy warms up to his new environment, he is the purrrr-fect companion! McMurphy has congenital heart disease so will require a patient and proactive adopter to monitor his condition. He takes daily medication and will need visits the vet every 2-6 months. McMurphy makes it well known that his condition does not stop his zest for life. McMurphy loves to play and fetch his toys, so much so, he will ask you to play multiple times a day! He is selective with cats, but does enjoy a good wrestle. In his free time, McMurphy also enjoys snacking, neck rubs, and being brushed! This sweet boy will rub against your legs until you acknowledge his presence. McMurphy's foster has learned he does need some time to settle in to his new environment, but that he is well-worth the wait. While he energetically conquers all his toys, he likes being the king of the house and does best in quiet homes without other animals, or small children. To learn more about how to adopt McMurphy, please fill out an adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LDAC/Cat) or email questions to cat.adoptions@lostdogrescue.org.

Story
I received my pet at 3 weeks old from a local friend who had a litter. I left for school and my mother would take care of her. After my mom passed, I am unable to keep her because of travel and work. Nafeesa is cuddly with only her favorite person, and takes a while to open up. She is playful and really smart, she figured out how to get on the side table and open the door knob! The downside is that she has a behavioral issue with peeing in certain places when changes happen, and we can’t figure out how to fix it.
