Story
Hello there, my name is Muffin and I am a beautiful 10-year-old female calico. But don't let my age fool you, I am still full of energy and love to play with my spring toys. I have a special routine because I'm diabetic and need to receive insulin twice a day and my diet is strictly monitored to keep me healthy. I am a social butterfly and love to interact with people, although I prefer to be the only furry friend in the house. My laid-back and mellow temperament makes me the perfect companion for a chill and relaxing home.   March 5, 2025, 12:57 pm

Story
Hello, I am Everest. I came to the shelter after being transferred from HAP, but I as originally a stray. I am sweet but shy. I love to watch the birds flying and to be a couch potato! Come meet me!   This cat has tested positive for feline leukemia. This is a virus that affects the immune system of the cat and can cause secondary and serious illnesses. This virus is contagious to other cats by contact with secretions of infected cats (saliva, blood, urine), mating with an infected cat, or if the mother passes it to her baby during birth. Many cats who become infected with the virus can clear it with a working immune system. Some cats have the progressive form and these are the ones who are terminally infected and have an average life expectancy of 3-5 years after diagnosis.   They are contagious and most succumb to FeLV-associated diseases (such as cancer, severe anemia, etc).  Unfortunately, this cat did test positive for the progressive type of this disease.  This cat should not be housed with other cats who are not also FeLV positive. This is not contagious to humans or non-feline animals.August 14, 2025, 4:28 pm

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
A month ago I saw a lady throwing him out near a dumpster. I intervened because I love cats and wouldnt want one to be abandoned by their owner. So she let me have him. I have 4 other cats, so I introduced him and it sadly didn't work out. Hes very playful but way younger than my other cats- so my other cats aren’t playful . So his playfulness would be met with aggression. From his background he doesnt work well with other kids. He might work well with other cats but only his age. Hes very sweet boy, who gets easily attached, he loves being around you. He is very playful but not too playful to where he is annoying. I would love to find max a loving home where he can stay forever. Thanks. I think its important to mention he needs work done on his teeth, and his shots need to be up to date. Thank you.
