He appreciates gentle petting and will arch into it. He enjoys playing with toys and looking out windows. He loves food and treats! He’d make a great companion and would do best in a calm, quiet environment with a person or family who will allow him time to adjust. He gets along well with other cats. Has not been by dogs. Unique…. That’s a word I hear when people see me. My fur is quite the special pattern. My personality is gentle and sweet especially for a torti. I can be a little shy so when I meet new people or there is a lot going on around me, I sometimes hold back. Once we become more familiar, you will receive my expert biscuit making skills! Sometimes I will even roll onto my back and make air biscuits. I will happily roll into your arms and onto your lap. Humans are by far my favorite. I was a mom at one point and at this time in my life, other animals are a bit too much for me. Another little detail about me is my special back leg. The doctors said it was likely from a birth defect but I don’t see myself as having a defect. I play. I can run/hop around. I have learned to adapt. Soft cozy beds are my preference. When I am getting around a room, I do prefer soft rugs over slippery floors but again, I manage well. I don’t need extra special treatment but sometimes soft textures simply make me feel more comfortable. I would love to find my human family. Come meet me at Help Humane. Love, Bonita

Life throws us curveballs. I experienced this first hand when my person died and then I found myself outside homeless! Thankfully, a kind soul started researching places for me to be rescued and my new Help Humane family opened their arms and hearts to me! Everyone is always telling me how sweet and cute I am. I pretend I don’t know so they keep telling me all the kind words… in reality, I know I am kind of adorable. Playing with interactive toys, cat nip, and feathers sparks the little kitten energy in me! Often, I can be found cozied up in a soft blanket generating warmth. After all…. It’s crazy cold out and I never want to be outside and homeless again!! Companionship of people makes me so happy. When you are a special case kitty it is common for staff to love you for being unapologetically you!! That’s the case with ME… Saffie Rose. 🌹 While being at Help Humane, I found that I enjoy escaping my room to run zoomies down the hall. After all, I am kind of a hall monitor and like to tell everyone what they should be doing. Big personality girl here for sure. Honestly, get to know me and you will find me a bit endearing. Treats in my belly make me so happy! They are my love language for sure. Having my special box (decorated by staff as “Saffie’s Box”) allows me to feel content and super special. I love to hide inside it while peering out waiting for the next person to enter my room! Many times I sprawl on the top of my box… also plotting my next zoomie time. In a home I prefer to be able to follow you around and I am a cuddle bug for sure. People are really my soulmates since I don’t really look at myself as a “pet” … truly, I am more like a companion of equal level to you. When I first came to the shelter as a kitten, many people thought I wouldn’t live. I had been attacked by a dog and severely injured. But I took on the persona of a warrior….a survivor! I lived… Maybe that’s why I’m a tad spunky at times lol. My shelter friends affectionately call me a tornado! I’m a regular comedic entertainer and treat tester!! I LOVE talking and am happy to share all my inner thoughts and feelings. We could chat up a storm together! We could be besties!! We could live a simple or pretty extravagant life! I am open as long as I am with humans. Anyways…. If you would consider opening your home to a confident, playful, cuddly, funny, and loving girl… come ask to meet me. Love, Saffie Rose
