Chance came to us barely alive, he was just a skeleton with fur. You could see in his eyes that he had given up. We believe that he was just a short time from death. He didnt really have the strength to eat dry food and barely nibble on canned. So we hand fed him until he began to eat on his own and each day we watched him get stronger and stronger and the will to live return. He is a bit timid at first but who could blame him, he has been through so much in his young life. He is wonderfully affectionate when he learns to trust a person; when the shelter closes at night and things are quiet, he will approach whoever is still hanging around and climb right into the first available lap; he is unbelievably sweet, and he's never aggressive with the other cats. This little girl came from a high intake shelter where she was brought in with obvious neurological issues. That shelter didnt have the space to allow for time to see if it could heal her. When she came in she only had sight here and there and looked like a horrible mess. With some TLC and time, this little girl recovered 100%!! Its beyond amazing! She is a bit timid at first because of the drama and her scary life to date, but she is so so sweet, she is even one of the awesome cats that allow full on belly rub! What more could you ask for? Cash was adopted out as a very young kitten but sadly returned at 18 months old. Some people are just not planning when they see a cutie kitten and adopt before thinking they will not stay kittens. Cash was an only cat in his home and was played with roughly and with human hands. That teaches a kitten to bite when they dont have another cat to tell them "hey dude, that hurt!" and then refuses to play with them. That teaches the kitten to not bite. Unfortunately, Cash learned to give bites when playing, he loves to play. And now that he is adult he needs to learn not to bite. He would be great with another cat that loves to play and will also teach him no biting :-) Could you please give Cash another chance at a furever home, he deserves it! He got cheated! Little Junior was found while looking inside a supporters home right before the below freezing temps hit in February 2021. They truly felt he was asking for help. They trapped him and got him into their vet, got him vetting and brought him to their home to recover. He is very timid and might have had a family at one time because he just freezes when people come to pet him but when he allows himself to relax he loves it. He would need lots of patience and time to trust but these types will bond with you like gorilla glue if they you allow them to have time and security with you . Born 2020

This little doll face is such an awesome cat. She has quite a story to tell. She was living on the streets and as you can see from the eartip, she was spayed as part of a TNR (trap/neuter/return) program. She was being fed and doing ok but then she was injured. The people feeding called us for help with her and they trapped her and brought her to us. Her front paw was pretty mangled and we first thought the leg might need to be amputated but we took a conservative approach and it ended up she only lost a couple toes. So, one leg is a bit shorter than the other one, however, that doesn't bother her. After only a few weeks with us, she showed us she wasn't feral but really loved people. And boy does she love people. She will do everything in the book to get your attention for some affection. From doing tricks, rolling around showing her belly or just grabbing your hand and pulling it to her for you to pet. Now, how can anyone resist that? Can you? Mercy, girl, born approx. 2011

Chloe was a stray 4 week old kitten when we took her into our home. She’s used to having lots of activity and some level of noise in the home. She’s rather aloof, but likes to lay near you if she likes you. Does not like to be petted often, and hates being picked up or belly scratches. Like chin rubs and head scratches when in the mood. Not into toys, but loves looking out the window. Quiet cat, only really meows when she’s hungry and needs you to feed her. Trained to not climb tables, but she breaks the rule when she’s looking for water in a cup on the table. Sweet girl. Easy to care for.
