This stunning boy is Sage. Sage came into a shelter that has since closed when he was just a kitten with four of his siblings. Unfortunately, we don't have great records of their age, but we believe they are five years old now. Sage has started to come out and socialize with people, likely because there aren't as many cats around. He would do best in a home with folks who have experience with cats and who are willing to give him time and space to adjust to his new environment. If you are patient and quiet he will come to you for grooming and some pets. But Sage might never be a cat who runs to you when you get home from work or who clamors to jump into your lap when you sit down, and that's okay. Pete’s story started with heartbreak, but it can end with love—yours. What a looker! Pete is a dashing 2-year-old tuxedo with a perfect little black beauty mark on his chin—like the Marilyn Monroe of the cat world. Pete and his sister were adopted as kittens, but heartbreak came when their family moved away and left them behind. Neighbors did their best to feed the pair, but after his sister tragically passed, Pete was brought inside and finally given the safety and love he deserved. Pete is about 10 pounds, neutered, and truly one of the sweetest cats you’ll meet. He’s very loving, non-aggressive, and playful—sometimes a little needy, but that just makes sense after his time trying to survive outside on his own. Because of his rough start, Pete is FIV+. But don’t let that scare you—FIV+ cats live long, normal lives and can safely live with other cats. Pete’s foster mom has years of experience with an FIV+ cat and is happy to guide adopters if Pete joins a multi-cat home. Simon needs your help. A very nice elderly cat rescuer saved him a few years ago. Recently, she fell and broke her hip and wrist. She can no longer care for the cats, including Simon, who is diabetic and needs medication every 12 hours. Simon is about nine years old. He was diagnosed with diabetes two years ago. He's on Glipizide*, a pill, because of his caretaker's inability to inject insulin due to arthritis in her fingers. Simon's such a good boy about taking his medication; he goes right to his kennel for his pill, which is hidden in his Fancy Feast. He's a sweet, affectionate boy who wants to be with people. Simon is such a lovely, cute boy, and he'll bring so much happiness and joy to someone. We think he'd even do great in a home with older kids. This baby deserves a fabulous home.
