Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Bobbi Sue is a little character who knows what she wants, and exactly how to ask for it! When she would like her litter box freshened, she sits by it and looks at her foster Mom. When she wants her electronic toy turned on, she goes over and bats it. When she wants her ping pong ball tossed (preferably the pink one), she starts batting it around. (This is real progress from when she used to gently nip her foster Mom when she wanted something!) When she rolls on her side, she’d like a back scratch and right side head rub, and rewards the scratches and rubs with purrs. When she’s ready to get off a lap, she’d gets up and goes. If she needs to feel safe, she either goes in her cubby or sits where she can see everything. Bobbi absolutely loves squeeze up treats and play time! She is a unique, fun, and beautiful cat.  Bobbi Sue (Bobbers) also has specific boundaries that need to be respected. She came to us with her two kittens, and presented stressed and shy. We don’t know much about her former life, but there is one particular hand movement that she reacts to, so we suspect something happened to cause that. She will be shy at first, but with patience, persistence, predictability, play time (and most importantly, the squeeze up treat), she will grow into a wonderful, fun cat companion who will want to be Queen of your house! We feel like we are not yet seeing her full personality, but the safer she feels, the more we see, and the more we like it.  We do not recommend a home with children, as she does best with routine and predictability. Bobbi Sue can be seen by appointment only. Can you find it in your heart to give this beautiful girl a home for Christmas? Bobbi Sue was born approximately May 7, 2023, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  December 2, 2025, 2:58 pm

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Rizzo and Gonzo are mama and daughter kitties who will live their best lives together. Rizzo is a sweet mama kitty who has been working hard to take care of her babies. She’s been a bit defensive of them around other cats, so if she goes to a home with other cats a slow introduction will be necessary. She’s playful and snuggly, but takes a little time to warm up to people at first. She LOVES getting pets, and will climb up on her foster mama's lap for more.  Gonzo is a shy kitty. She’s still working on her social skills and developing trust with people, so she needs an adopter who understands her needs and will help her to become more comfortable and confident. She likes to climb up to look out the window to watch the birds and squirrels, and she loves a cozy spot to snuggle up with her mom Rizzo for a good nap.  These kitties should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Rizzo was born approximately October 15, 2022, and August 12, 2025, respectively. Their combined adoption fee is $222.50. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meet Cleopatra! If you’re looking for a companion kitty, Cleo could be the cat for you! She’s a beautiful gray tortoiseshell girl, who loves to play and be brushed and likes to be near her human, especially at nap time, when she will want to be close to you.She has a bit of “tortitude,” which tortoiseshell cats are known for. Sometimes she needs to be gently reined in if she gets too wound up during playtime! Sudden movements or sounds sometimes scare her.Cleopatra will be okay with cat-friendly dogs and other cats, once they’ve been given a proper introductory process. Her foster home has 4 cats and a dog, and she has become comfortable enough to hang out during the day.Cleo will need a few weeks to adjust to her new home, because she has had several changes in her life and she’s anxious about new people and places. But once she knows she’s loved and safe, she will be a wonderful companion kitty. If you’re willing to give Cleo some love, patience and a forever home, let us know! Cleopatra was born approximately June 23, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is microchipped. Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Malu and Nakoa are bonded brothers that want to stay together.  They enjoy chasing each other around the house, and like to play with stuffed toys, balls with bells, and feather wands. They are very sweet, loving, handsome boys who will cuddle with you, looking at you with their beautiful eyes to show their love for you.  Nakoa is white with black spots on his back with a black tail. He will wake you up giving you a nose rub and purring and then snuggle next to you while doing biscuits on your face.  Malu is mostly white with black around his eye and a white diamond on his forehead. He will also give you a nose kiss then snuggle on you. He loves to take straws and play with them. These kitties will want to play with each other and with their people, so be ready for some entertainment. If you're looking for sweet, loveable, cuddly kittens, these boys are for you.  These kitties get along with other cats but have not been around kids or cat-friendly dogs. They should do well if given proper introductions. Malu and Nakoa were born approximately January 17, 2025, and their combined adoption fee is $250. Lily is independent, loving, and a lot of fun. She plays well with other kittens and loves toys. Lily is very nurturing to the younger kittens. She loves being petted but isn’t a lap cat, at least not yet. She adores a warm blanket and snuggling with a kitty friend.  She’s been around a small dog a few times and it’s unknown if she’s been around small children, but she should adapt easily and enjoy the attention. Lily was born approximately July 1, 2025, and her adoption fee is $160, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Gleason is a chubby love bug, who happens to be diabetic, but is very well managed on his current insulin dose.  He settled in quickly at his foster home and is very tolerant of his foster brother cats and giant dog.  In fact, Foster Mom says he likes the 100 lb dog best of all!  He loves to have his head and face petted, and will follow you anywhere for his wet food!  Gleason has had a dental (cleaning and extractions) and except for a shaved back where his glucose monitor used to be, he is absolutely perfect and ready for his forever family.  If you've never had a diabetic cat, they really are easy to manage with twice daily insulin injections. The insulin cost is approximately $75 for a 60 day supply. The injections are easy and Kitty City would be happy to educate you on the care of a diabetic cat. If you can open your heart to Gleason, you won't regret it!  This kitty should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Gleason was born approximately September 22, 2017, and his adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is half off. Story
Tipper is an 11-year-old sweetheart who somehow manages to be both spirited and soft. He still has a playful streak — he loves chasing lasers, exploring new spots, and getting in on whatever fun his sister, Delaney, is having. But when the energy settles, he turns into a total snuggler. He loves curling up next to you, settling into a warm lap, or lounging nearby just to be part of the moment. Tipper is also deeply bonded with his sister, Delaney. They’ve been together since day one and genuinely depend on each other for comfort and confidence. They nap side by side, “talk” to each other, and look for one another around the house. Keeping them together isn’t just ideal — it’s what keeps them both happy and secure. Tipper would do wonderfully in a loving, steady home that appreciates a cat with both a playful spirit and a cuddly heart. If you’re looking for a bonded pair who bring joy, affection, and companionship in the sweetest way, Tipper and Delaney are truly something special.

Story
Delaney is an 11-year-old sweetheart with a shy, cautious nature and a soft, gentle soul. She warms up slowly, but once she feels safe, her little spark of spunk starts to shine. She enjoys peaceful spaces, soft voices, and patient people who let her come forward at her own pace. Delaney isn’t the bold, center-of-attention type — she’s the quiet observer, the careful thinker, and the cat who appreciates calm, consistency, and a gentle touch. When she trusts you, she becomes affectionate, curious, and surprisingly playful in her own subtle way. Delaney is deeply bonded with her brother, Tipper. They have been together their entire lives and rely on each other for comfort and security. Delaney looks to him for confidence, and having him nearby helps her feel safe and relaxed. Because of this, keeping them together would be best for their well-being and happiness. If you’re looking for a pair with a sweet balance — one gentle and cautious, Delaney will quietly steal your heart.

Story
We got Lucy Bell as a kitten from Petco. She is 7 (May birthday). All black just a touch of white under her chin, and so soft! She’s very quiet, so light on her feet and can jump! She has always been a cat personality- loves you on her terms. Can be quite snuggly with her person! Purrs on your chest if your sitting or laying (and if she wants to!) The issue we have is she’s been peeing on anything soft, we think this is stress due to our other cat and dog as she hasn’t always done it. She would do best being the only pet in a house with no kids, she prefers to get all the attention! She’s been around kids and is fine but doesn’t have much patience for their curiosity :) She’s always been great at using scratching pads, not furniture. Loves to sleep on a blanket or in a little hammock. She’s mostly been inside, but has experienced outside too, so she could probably be a combo indoor/outdoor, or just indoor.
