Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Gilligan loves other cats; he must have a feline companion to feel safe. He’s a scaredy cat, too. He came from a terrible hoarding situation with poor conditions, little food, and almost 100 cats, mostly in cages. It made him fearful, but when he’s comfortable he is so loving with a big purr. Gilligan needs an understanding, patient owner. Food is the key to his heart. He loves to play, so playtime with you and/or his cat friend(s) makes him happy. In his foster home, he is out and about all day but he’s shy about being touched and will often run, unless it’s wet food time or bedtime. He sleeps on the bed with his foster mom and other cats and loves a morning session of petting. When picked up, he likes to be held close, otherwise he will get scared and jump.  His foster mom loves him and hopes there is a person or family that will love him as much, despite his quirks. He won’t show his charms at first. Gilligan will need to acclimate to his new home and people, but he’s worth it. He hasn’t been around kids and older ones are preferred as he is skittish with sudden movements and loud noises. He would probably adapt to an easy going dog, and he likes other animals. Gilligan was born approximately November 1, 2021, and his adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweetheart at our adoption center this weekend!  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  April 29, 2024, 9:18 am

Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Robbie and Star are foster friends who have bonded with each other and want to stay together furever. Star is a beautiful tortie girl who likes to be petted and to sit on her cat tree looking out the window. Robbie is a gorgeous orange and white tabby boy who loves his Star. They are both shy kitties and will need a quiet, patient home where they are able to relax and get to know their humans. Star and Robbie haven't been around kids, but older ones who could play with them and be patient should be fine. Star is not a fan of being picked up or a fan of her carrier so they will need to be appointment-only kitties. Let us know when you would like to meet these two sweethearts.  Star was born approximately March 27, 2019, and Robbie was born approximately September 3, 2022. Their combined adoption fee $167.50, which includes $20 each for microchips. They are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Feta is a very sweet, very shy little girl. She’s had a tough go of her first year of life, and is ready to settle down and stay put in her forever home. She spends her days snuggled up in her favorite spot--her cat tower. It’s her safe space. Feta’s shyness might keep her from approaching you for pets, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy them. She loves a good back scratch and will roll over, get comfy, and make biscuits to show her appreciation.  Feta needs a family that will be patient with her anxiety, and accepting of her shy personality. She may not be the most snuggly cat, but she’s so sweet, gentle, and curious. We feel she will become less shy as she settles into her forever home and has space to roam and explore her house.  Feta does like to hide if she can find a hiding spot, so it’s probably best for Feta to be in a home with few tiny spaces where she can get stuck. She would do best in a home without dogs. We think she would do okay with other (friendly) cats with a slow introduction.  Feta was born approximately January 5, 2022, and her adoption fee, including a microchip, is $105, or adopt 2, and the second is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.
Britches is a sweet and loving boy who happens to only have three legs. He doesn’t let that get in the way of being the most handsome gentleman. He loves attention, and will roll around sticking out his leg, begging for scritches. While Britches isn’t sure why you’d ever be doing anything but petting him, when you insist on doing other activities, he enjoys spending his time watching the birds and squirrels out his window, and snoozing in his carrier.  While Britches gets around pretty well, he would probably so best in a home without lots of stairs. His condition should be considered, as he may require extra care as he gets older because of his amputation. Britches doesn’t seem to do well with other cats and should probably be the only animal in the home.  Britches is available to meet by appointment.  Britches was born approximately July 29, 2021, and his adoption fee is $105. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.
Tabitha is a sweet, lovable, shy tabby girl with soft, bunny-like fur. She was taken to a shelter after a good Samaritan found her outside with difficulty walking with her back legs. It is unknown whether she was injured at birth or from being outside, but In any case, she gets around well enough to jump on a couch (her favorite place to be) and a low scratching post. She has no problems using a cat box. She is just a little wobbly with her back legs and sometimes they will slip out from under her if she moves too quickly. She is fairly shy at first but will warm up once she settles into a routine (allow up to a month). She adores petting and head scratches. She is not aggressive and should be fine by herself or with other gentle cats who will not chase her or fight with her. It would be best if she is in a quiet home preferably without dogs or young children. Tabitha was born approximately November 10, 2022, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.
MISS KITTY and TIGER were rescued from a very bad situation in the nick of time! After a few months with their foster Mom and some great TLC, vet care and healthy food, they are ready to find a home where they can lay around, eat good food, give love and GET LOVE!  Both girls are very social and affectionate. They love people (after they know they are safe) and other kitty friends. Miss Kitty is a quiet little love bug who is somewhat reserved and a little shy until she gets to know you. She is very caring and watchful and will seek you out to be picked up and give kisses. Once she is completely comfortable and acclimated, she will jump in your lap for a little cat-nap. Tiger is a skinny little Minnie who is a little more outgoing from the get-go.  She is a talker and likes to follow you around and tell you when it is time to give her some loving or food.  She likes to be picked up and carried around and will likely be in your lap the first day. These girls have lived many years of their lives malnourished in squalor.  They are looking for, and deserve, a loving home where they can retire and just lay around and get and give love to someone who will take care of them for the duration of their lives.  Both girls are around 17 years but now that they are getting healthy, they don’t act a day over 15! Tiger is hyper-thyroid and takes a tiny pill in her food once a day.  She gobbles it right down.  Her medication will be paid for.    Miss Kitty and Tiger are snugglers and may end up sleeping with you, if allowed. They are very fond of and watchful over one another and although they do their own thing during the day, at night they cuddle up and sleep together in their big bed. They are bonded and need to be adopted together.  This pair will do best in a mature home or one with older, cat-savvy children (12+). They have been around their foster Mom’s cat-friendly dog and will likely get along with other calm cat-friendly dogs and cats after proper introductions.    Miss Kitty was born approximately September 17, 2008 and Tiger was born approximately September 17, 2006. Their combined adoption fee is $167.50. They have been neutered/spayed, are up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, have had dental care, are microchipped, and have tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  Their FUTURE VETTING will be sponsored.   You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. Story
When Elsa came to live with us, she was so shy I could barely get near her. She has come out of her shell and enjoys playing, watching the cardinal outside the window, purring, and talking. It would be great if she could go with her sister Anna. They have a bond, and with every passing week it gets stronger. She is great with our dog and a little fearful of other cats. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello there. My name is Classic, and I am a 13-pound, bashful young boy who is ready to find my forever person. I always knew that human love existed, but as a community cat, I was never fortunate enough to experience it until I met my foster mom. I am a little timid at first but once I am comfortable, my confidence levels skyrocket and I am able to show my true adoration for people. My foster mom thinks I have the most adorable squishy face and says my biscuit making skills are one of the best in the business. I enjoy snuggling next to my foster mom and the moment she gets into bed, I jump right on to the bed with her! As one of the lost boys in the community cat population, I had many other male cats chase and fight me (but I am a lover, I get along with other cats just superbly) which explains my FIV+ status. It isn't a death sentence and I have been exceptionally healthy my entire time in my foster home. I know I am not perfect and I know I am not for everyone but I do know that my forever human is out there. If you have a soft spot for the "underdogs (hehe, funny since I am a cat), a handful of patience and are keen on binge watching TV in bed, then I could be the one for you! Story
Hi! My name is Stormy and I'm the biggest sweetheart you've ever seen. I was a momma, so I love younger cat friends. I love older cat friends, after we figure out our rhythm. I've never met a dog before. I'm a BIG fan of humans! Especially tiny humans. I love to snuggle, play with my laser tower, and watch all the critters outside the window. I can't wait to share my love with my new forever family! I'm just waiting for them to find me.
