Story
Hello! My name is Lilith (Lil)! I am a tabby with a very fluffy coat. My sister, Edalyn, and I were found living outside so we weren't used to all of you humans at first. But we're feeling pretty lucky to be pampered by our foster family now. My sister has warmed up a little faster than I have to the humans, but I am still working on it and making progress each day. Now, when they come visit us, I play with the toys they bring me or let them hold me. It's pretty cool! One of my favorite pastimes is playing or cuddling with my sister. If you have room for two, we would make a great pair in a forever home. My foster mom is always commenting on how we are the easiest babies she has had because we use the litterbox so well and we keep a clean play area. I don't know what kind of slobs were here before, but I will take the complement. I will be ready to go home with you on December 4. I can't wait to go to my forever home and maybe even bring Edalyn! For more information or to meet me, please email foster@kcpetproject.org. Purrs,LilDid you know kittens do better in pairs? It's true! When kittens are raised together, they play, sleep and learn together. They look out for each other, and keep each other company while you are away. This makes taking care of them much easier for you, and results in happier, better adjusted cats with fewer behavior concerns overall. Plus, there's twice as much love and fun waiting for you when you come home! If you have no other cats in your home, or even if you do, please consider taking home two kittens instead of just one. You'll be glad you did!

Hi! My name is Edalyn (Eda)! I am a diluted tabby with soft grays and oranges and a fluffy coat. My sister, Lilith, and I were found living outside so we weren't used to all of you humans at first. However, I have warmed up to our foster humans because they give me lots of toys that I love to play with and yummy food. Now, when they come visit us, I show them my approval by purring and rubbing on their legs. One of my favorite pastimes is playing or cuddling with my sister. We love each other and would love to stay together in our forever home. Story
Meet Geoffrey, the handsome and playful boy who's looking for his forever home! Geoffrey was born into a large family of cats, but we were able to rescue him and give him a chance at a better life. This sweet boy is grateful for every bit of love and attention he gets, and he loves nothing more than playing with his favorite people. Born in 2019, Geoffrey is a smart and active cat who loves to play catch and learn new tricks. He's a bit bossy with other cats, so he would do best in a home where he's the only furry companion. But don't worry, because Geoffrey has more than enough love to share with his human family. If you're looking for an interactive and affectionate companion, Geoffrey could be the perfect fit for you! He's a special boy who just needs a loving home where he can thrive and blossom. So why not give this handsome fella the chance he deserves? If you're interested in adopting or fostering Geoffrey, please reach out to us today. And if you're not able to adopt or foster, you can still help by donating supplies to support Geoffrey and other homeless pets like him. Let's help Geoffrey find his happily ever after!

Story
Introducing Lexus, the beautiful and resilient cat who has overcome tremendous challenges in her life. After living on the streets and having multiple litters of kittens, Lexus was left to fend for herself when she was pregnant again. Thankfully, a kind person drove all the way from another state to rescue her, but unfortunately, Lexus went into labor on the way home and had to be rushed to the nearest vet. Despite all she's been through, Lexus remains a sweet and gentle cat who just needs a little time to warm up to new people. She's also a bit of a boss with other cats, but who can blame her? After all she's been through, she deserves to be the queen of her castle! And with her unique and exotic appearance, thanks to her amputated tail, Lexus is sure to turn heads wherever she goes. If you're looking for a low-maintenance cat who still craves love and attention, Lexus is the perfect match for you. She's polite when asking for pets and snuggles, and is happy to entertain herself when you're busy. Don't miss out on the chance to give this resilient kitty the loving home she deserves. And if you can't adopt or foster, consider donating much-needed supplies to the pet rescue organization to help other pets like Lexus get a second chance at a happy life. Adopt, foster, donate - let's make a difference together!

Story
Little Junior was found while looking inside a supporters home right before the below freezing temps hit in February 2021. They truly felt he was asking for help. They trapped him and got him into their vet, got him vetting and brought him to their home to recover. He is very timid and might have had a family at one time because he just freezes when people come to pet him but when he allows himself to relax he loves it. He would need lots of patience and time to trust but these types will bond with you like gorilla glue if they you allow them to have time and security with you . Born 2020

Story
We found this baby at KC pet project, and adopted her as our second pet in our apartment. After a while we adopted a second dog and ended up with three pets. We love them all so much, but after moving apartments we are no longer able to keep our kitty, for a multitude of reasons. We want her in good hands, and we hope to see her and love on her after rehoming if possible.

Story
URGENT! Milo is at risk of euthanasia. This guy is Milo. He's a chill, friendly, cuddly guy who believes your lap is his lap. He would love to sleep on your bed at night if you're okay with that. Milo gets along great with other cats; dogs, not so much. Milo is about 12 years old and he's diabetic. He is on insulin (Vetsulin) shots twice a day, 4.5 units each. He's a champ at taking his shots! Milo, as you can see, is a tad overweight. He'll be relying on you to make him stick to his diet for his diabetes and his weight. Milo's current owner can no longer care for him, but she'll be sending about $200 worth of supplies with him, including some insulin, syringes, and food. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Milo. He's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Story
Hi! My name is Jeanne, but my foster mama calls me Gigi. In my former life, I was a street cat, but at the age of seven months, I wandered into a humane trap set by folks at The Pet Connection when they were trying to catch a lost kitty. I'm now a big girl and over a year old, so my new goal is to find myself a forever home. I can be shy at first, but once I warm up, get ready to PLAY! I get so excited to see my foster feline siblings. Like, it's the best part of my day! We play chase and jump around together. The cat perch is super useful as a launching point, in case you need a launching point in the future. So. Much. Fun! I'm a little gal and my foster brothers are way bigger than I am, but that doesn't bother me one bit, because I have a TON of personality. Being a lap kitty and being petted are also some of my specialties. Helping my foster mom in the office on the side is such a blast! She says I need more practice at filing, but I'm excellent at making confetti. Guess what? Now I get to be around the dogs in the house! They used to like to watch me play, and I knew we'd do just fine once we got to know each other. But one of them did go and hide after I gave him a teeny tiny hiss, just to see what he'd do. Not so brave, that one. Call or text The Pet Connection for more info on me, Jeanne. 913-671-7387. I'm in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection
