Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie previously lived with another large dog and got along well with her. She would even snap at him sometimes and he would not really react. He simply wanted to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). Pretzel is a total love bug. He gets along great with other dogs as long as they are also dog friendly. This sweet boy came to us in terrible skin condition. We have worked hard on getting his skin condition under control by having a good diet and lots off love. The reward is a very handsome boy and happy boy. Pretzel would probably do best in a home without cats. He is house trained, crate trained, however he does well in the house and he does not get into things or destroy anything. Pretzel walks well on leash, he does pull a little bit but he is very correctable. Pretzel is a really sweet boy, with lots of love to give. He knows his name and will come running when you call him.
