Flagg can be a little unsure at first, but once he warms up he’s affectionate and curious. He’s food motivated, enjoys exploring, and does well with other dogs who understand he may not be in the mood to play at every moment. Story
Brindle, bright-eyed, and full of heart, Diesel is the best mix of athlete and goofball. He loves people, makes soft eye contact, and is eager to work for treats or toys-classic Dutchie! His favorite toy is a blue & pink rugby ball. He has done well meeting friendly dogs with proper introductions and respectful play. He gets excited fast and will need someone to give him proper outlet and structure. We recommend a working-breed-savvy, active home that enjoys training and enrichment. Teens/older kids who can participate in his routine could work; cats are unknown. After activity, he settles nicely and leans in for affection-loyal, attentive, and ready to be someone's shadow. If you've been looking for a smart partner to adventure with and train, this boy is your guy. Quick highlights 1.5 years old, Dutch Shepherd (brindle male) • Social, affectionate, toy & food motivated (loves fetch) • Enjoys hikes/runs/training games • Dog-friendly with proper intro; cats unknown • Best with shepherd-savvy, active adopters Diesel is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He's currently located in Vallejo CA

Story
Guinness is a loyal and a loving girl, a joyful companion. I can not provide her the space and time she requires to be happy. She loves to run, agility training, play hide-and-seek/fetch and go on long walks. She is extremely energetic, and is very playful with dogs. At home, she likes to relax. She is potty trained and does not react to people or dogs on leash. She is always kind and patient with children. She can be vocal, shy or fearful at times, and she is not good with change. She needs a stable routine,a big garden to roam around all day and protect from any intruders. It takes her some time to bond, but once she gets used to you she is very sweet. She is usually good with dogs, but she can be reactive due her past trauma. (She was extremely submissive and got bitten multiple times, as a result, she can not tolerate barking or reactive dogs). If there is another dog in her new home, it would be ideal for her but it's best that her sibling is playful, non-reactive and as big as her.

Story
Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie previously lived with another large dog and got along well with her. She would even snap at him sometimes and he would not really react. He simply wanted to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Obie, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.

We adopted Masher -5 months ago from Ca shelter. He is up to date on shots and flea and tick meds Very sad we cannot continue to raise him. My wife uses a cane now and is the primary caregiver which means she is unable to walk and exercise Masher. We believe he would be a great fit for a family with a yard as he loves to run and play And needs exercise. He loves to walk around our neighborhood. Masher needs a lot of attention. He is very loyal and attentive to his “person/persons”. We have a large crate for Masher that is 4ftx3ft and will sell for $25

Story
Meet Ginger – A Gentle Soul Searching for Her Forever Home Ginger is a sweet and loyal girl who has given her whole heart to her humans, only to find herself waiting for a family once again. At 10 years old, she deserves to spend her golden years surrounded by love, peace, and stability. Ginger's foster family love her. She is loyal to her folks. She will bark at someone at the door and makes it very clear she is there to make sure no one does anything to her people. In reality Ginger would rather hang out with her people. She bonds hard and loves unconditionally. She does need a family or person that is shepherd savvy.   Ginger is great with dog friendly dogs and in fact she can keep up with much younger dogs. Do not think because Ginger is a senior she is not capable. Ginger is able to jump into the back of a truck with no issues and can go on long walks with absolutely no issues.  Ginger is house-trained as well crate-trained, and she enjoys her walks, though she may pull a bit when excited. More than anything, she just wants a soft bed, gentle hands, and a family who will never let her go again. She would love to spend a rainy day laying on the bed cuddling or going on a road trip.  Senior dogs like Ginger have so much to give—they are wise, grateful, and deeply devoted. Ginger has waited far too long for her happily ever after. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this special girl ask to meet her.  ##1908335##

Story
Luna Bug Luna Bug is settling into foster life beautifully and showing everyone just how special she is! This playful girl loves a good game of tug, goes wild for squeaky toys, and has mastered the art of chasing the flirt pole like a pro. She’s doing wonderfully with crate training — she happily naps in her crate and sleeps there at night. Occasionally she’ll give a little whine, but she quickly settles herself and relaxes. Such a smart cookie! Luna Bug is incredibly cuddly and adores being close to her people. Like any young pup, she’s in her teething phase and sometimes goes for pant legs — but she redirects to a toy very easily and is eager to learn what’s appropriate. She’s already picking up “sit” and “down,” working on polite door manners, and beginning to practice loose leash walking (inside the house). She’s very bright and learns quickly — you can almost see the wheels turning! She gets along great with her foster’s 1-year-old Belgian Malinois and even the 8-month-old cat. Luna Bug loves people, enjoys “people watching,” and is wonderfully observant of the world around her. This sweet, snuggly, playful girl is going to make one lucky family very happy. She’s learning her manners and wants so badly to please. With consistency and love, she blossoms quickly. Luna Bug would thrive in a home where she can feel safe, adored, and included in everyday life. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart as big as her name is cute, Luna Bug might just be your girl. ##2656142##
