Story
Meet Zara!  Breed Guess: Dutch Shepherd/Corgi MixAge: Young Adult...best guess is 2-3 years oldWeight: A very compact 23lbs  Other Animals: Zara wants to play with her fur foster but he isn't interested in playing with her and she respects his boundries.  She does give him kisses which he accepts from her.  We feel that she would probably do well with a doggy companion.  We were told that she was not reactive with cats and she doesn't try to chase squirrels or geese.Kids: She is very nervous when meeting strangers right now so feel that calm teens would be bestHouse training: She is totally fine but may need a little time to learn a new routine in a new homeExercise needs: Zara is a low to medum energy pup.  She LOVES going on walks and is good on leash. What she's great at: When she earns your trust, she is a great cuddler.  She is house broken and happy to be in her crate. What she's working on: Trusting new people.  Coming from a hoarding situation she didn't have exposure to much so she is learning that there is a big beautiful world out there.Personality: Zara is a sweet little girl.  She warmed up to her foster family very quickly but she is nervous when meeting new people.  She would prefer to come to you in her time frame.  She was recently at an event and, in a relatively short amount of time, she was started making friends with people as long as they ignored her and allowed her to approach them.  Zara's Story: She was found in a hoarding situation in Grand Cayman.  She lived with a foster family there for a short time until they were able to get her to us.  Dream Home: She would love a quiet home with a patient family that will give her time to come out of her shell.  We feel that another dog would help her feel more comfortable but also feel that she may be fine on her own.  Zara would love someone that will take her on walks and maybe eventually a hike!  She also loves to cuddle on her foster dad's lap so seems to be the best of all worlds! ##2009612##

Story
Drake is a handsome lad all decked out in black which is becoming of him! He is approx 3 years old and loves to run and play with his foster siblings. He will play with his doggie toys all day long and has such a great time. See the video below:) Drake is learning to walk on a leash and is learning his house manners. He is crate-trained and rides well in the car. We are not sure of his breed, but Dutch Sheperd and Australian Kelpie/Cattle Dog seem fitting. He gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions. Go ahead and apply to adopt this sweet boy! He would love to be running/walking/jogging the trails this Spring with his new family or snuggling on the couch would suit him fine. Drake is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negtive for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! Kali is a very very interesting name... I was named after a Hindu goddess, like Mother Nature?? WOW, I need to cash in on this amazing name, right?? Nah, I hope that my name, which is kind of cute- GETS ME A HOME!! I mean, have you seen me? I am a brindly, gray/fawn GODDESS of love and soft fur :) I was tied to the fence at the rescue, with my friend Zeus Boy (he has been adopted already) one early Sunday morning. We were immediately taken in by the rescue, it was a very sad letter left with us on the fence.... we were very loved but our family had to move in with a parent and the parent's dogs were fighting us and hurting us :( So they did the best they could to find us a safe place to find great homes..... now I am the ONLY ONE LEFT to find that AMAZING HOME@!! I am a beautiful shepherd girl, my soft fur is so brindly and colorful you will gaze at me for hours :D I am a young gal, had heartworms and was already treated for it, so I am just ready to be YOURS :) ADOPT ME, must love and know Shepherds- I am a wonderful example of the breed. You will have the BEST friend for life!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Shadow is an approximately 2 year old female Dutch Shepherd mix who weighs 48 lbs. Shadow is good with other dogs and older kids but no cats for this sweet baby. She’s housebroken and crate trained. Shadow came from an abusive home but she learned to trust again and is ready to show just how lovable she is. She’s good on a leash but sometimes she needs a little encouragement. Shadow would love a family who can continue to show her the love and trust she deserves! Shadow is spayed, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped.
