Story
Sirius is a 1 year old Dutch Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix with brindle coloring. He is highly intelligent, loves to play fetch and be outside, and equally adores being cuddled and pet by those he is comfortable with. He is loyal, goofy, and an exceptional dog. Due to his intelligence and breed, training will be essential to keep his brain stimulated and to help him improve his confidence. He would be best suited in a home with someone who has experience owning this breed or similar and/or is experienced in dog training/has access to adequate training. He already is housebroken, understands some basic commands, and is eager to please anyone he meets. He does not bark or react to any household noises. He is uncomfortable meeting new people at first and has a tendency to snap to express discomfort but is able to overcome his fears relatively quickly. He is a big softie and is looking for a home that can help him become the best version of himself.

Story
My partner and I desired a pet after the loss of my dog. We knew we wanted a puppy, and specifically one that would be good for protection as we lived in a large house at the time. We found Sage in a litter of puppies being sold and fell in love with her. She was 8 weeks old. She is now a 10 month old energetic puppy that deserves a bigger space since we have since moved into a small apartment. I would describe sage as determined, loyal, and hilarious. She has a HUGE personality. She can play for hours. She is house trained, crate trained, knows all basic commands, and is a genius. I am looking for a home with lots of space and folks that can dedicate lots of time to her. She trains consistently and it would be best to continue with that.

Story
Gladius is a highly adoptable, highly desirable two year old female German Shepherd looking dog. She acts like a big puppy and loves chasing a ball over and over again for as long as you are willing to throw it. She's playful, friendly and smart. She's fun and has a very sweet temperament. She's been social with other dogs at the shelter in their play groups. She would do best in a home that will give her plenty of playtime and exercise. If she lives in an apartment, she would need to get regular exercise. Active seniors might also be fine since she's pretty good on leash and living with another dog might also work. She can be a little mouthy and jumpy because she's young and active and needs a family willing to work with her on that. All in all, she's a very good natured, beautiful girl. She'll be a great addition to any home. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DUeJq9UhTRk Age: 2 years      Weight: 57 lb    Temperament: Good with dogs and  older sturdy kids as he needs to learn not to jump up,  Training: Knows commands:  sit, drop it , leave it.  Housetraining unknown currently in a shelter.   Vetting: spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative    For questions, please email:   nlherna@emory.edu  &#226&#128&#139  To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
