Story
Bear is such a funny, sweet, EXTREMELY energetic five year old Dutch Shepherd who needs a loving, understanding, patient owner and home. An ideal environment would be one that includes a lot of space to run around at full speed, and a very fit, active owner. Bear is very smart and obedient, but will need more training in recall when off-leash. He is very curious with cats and thinks they are play things, so he comes off aggressive. With dogs, Bear gets very excited and caution should be exercised during introductions while he gets a feel for the other dog's energy and attitude. After the introduction, he loves to run and play! All in all, Bear would make a very fun, energetic, snuggly companion for the right owner or family. Dutch Shepherds are a working breed, and need someone who fully understands and is educated about this breed.

Story
Pepperoni – ID 17327 – Kennel 316 Arrived March 3 – Belgian Malinois – Black and Brown – Male 6 months old – 40 lb (estimated adult weight 60–70 lb) Will be neutered prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines Pepperoni is a handsome young Belgian Malinois puppy with a sleek black and brown coat and those signature alert ears that make this breed so striking. At just 6 months old, he is still very much a puppy and has a lot of growing, learning, and blossoming ahead of him. Pepperoni came to the shelter with his three siblings and their mother after the owners said they simply had too many dogs. Sadly, the puppies had very little exposure to the outside world. Because of this, Pepperoni and his siblings are quite frightened and unfamiliar with things like walking on a leash. Right now he needs to be carried outside, but with patience, kindness, and gentle training, he will learn and gain confidence. As a young Malinois, Pepperoni is intelligent and full of potential. This breed thrives with structure, training, and an active lifestyle. With the right adopter who understands working breeds and is willing to help him build confidence, Pepperoni can grow into a loyal, devoted companion. Pepperoni has had a rough start and is still learning that the world can be a safe place. What he needs most now is a patient, caring home where he can feel secure, learn at his own pace, and finally experience the life every puppy deserves. Story
Meet Zuko! He was surrendered along with his sister/bestie, Azula, on 3/4 because their family is moving and they're not able go with them. His former family did say that Zuko is house-trained, good with kids, and good with other dogs. The volunteers describe this duo as very bonded, and we'd really like to see them stay together. Zuko is the more confident and outgoing of the pair, and he seems to love everyone he meets! Zuko also seems to know most basic commands. If you have room in your heart and home for Zuko and Azula, please come meet them today! Zuko is 3 years old, and weighs 80 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, has been neutered, and did test negative for heartworms. He will be microchipped upon adoption. Zuko is waiting patiently in kennel 848; his ID # is 17353.
