Dutch the Dutch Shepherd is a male 1-1/2 year old. He is neutered. House trained and very lovable. He has lots of energy as he is still a puppy. He is also chill and loves napping. He sleeps in his kennel with the door open all night. He doesn’t wake us up till we get up. He loves his walks and is very good on leash. He is sometimes very eager to walk and can’t stay still long enough to put collar on. He does live with a cat and they play together. He has never hurt his cat. He still needs more training.

We adopted Odin from the Atlanta Humane Society when he was a puppy. He is beyond a good dog. He is now seven, and we are unable to give him the exercise he requires. Our schedule doesn't allow us to be as active as it used to be for him. This has caused him to act out by eating off the counters, growling if our baby gets near him, and occasionally showing obedience. This is all on us since we can't get him stimulated as he needs, and that hurts me. I want him to go somewhere that he will get all the attention and exercise that his breed desires. He is a good boy and an awesome companion when he gets to work. He is a bit wild around other dogs, so some may want to fight, but he is friendly if they are equally wild. The fee is to ensure he goes to someone who really wants him and can afford to provide for him.

Meet Tommy, a handsome 2-year-old, tri-colored German Shepherd mix who was rescued at the very last minute from a crowded county shelter. Initially described as shy and timid, Tommy simply needs some self-confidence. Tommy is very smart and eager to please.. While he can be a little unsure at first, he is quickly learning that life can be full of love, kindness, and fun. Each day, he grows braver--wagging his tail more freely, discovering toys, and learning to be confident. He is dog-friendly and would thrive best in a home with another confident dog who can guide him and show him the ropes. Tommy is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and sleeps soundly through the night. Although the crate is not his favorite place, he settles quietly after a few minutes and is content once he feels safe. According to his trainers, Tommy is calm and confident on leash, non-reactive to people during walks, and loves interacting with other dogs. He is playful, learns from other dogs, and is steadily building confidence while mastering his manners. Although he tends to be a little timid and is not treat-motivated, he is making great progress. He would be happiest with a family that has a strong leader who will continue his training and build his confidence with patience and affection. A fenced yard would be wonderful for him to play and explore, but what he truly wants is a doggy sibling that can teach him to be the best dog he can be.
