Story
Force is a sweet boy! He is about 7 years old and loves people so much. I got him during the pandemic in 2020 when he was about 1 years old. I was single and working from home at the time, so I was able to give him so much more attention. He loves to be around people, play, and cuddle. While I love him so much and do not want to give him up, he deserves so much more than I can give at this time in my life. Working a job that has me away from the house the majority of the day leaves him home alone for more than 10 hours on some days. I want him to be in a home that he will be able to get attention throughout the day. Additionally, I believe he needs more freedom or ability to roam in a house. Now that I am married and have a baby, he is way more restricted. While he is happy here and I know we would miss each other, I just want him to be in the best situation possible.

Meet Nova, a truly special dog with a heart as big as the star she's named after. This gentle and affectionate girl is a loyal companion who will always be by your side. With a calm and quiet nature, she is the perfect snuggle buddy for relaxing evenings at home. But don't be fooled by her relaxed demeanor — Nova is also an inquisitive soul, always up for exploring the great outdoors and taking in new sights and smells. She is incredibly smart and brave, ready to take on any adventure that comes her way. Nova is an independent thinker with a mind of her own, but her curious nature will always bring her back to you. She is a true friend and a devoted confidant, always ready to lend a listening ear (and she definitely has the ears to listen : ). Her gentle spirit and loving heart make her a wonderful addition to any family. If you're looking for a faithful friend to join you on life's journey, Nova could be the perfect match. Come and meet this wonderful girl today — she just might be the missing piece you've been searching for! Nova is ok with other dogs with slow introductions. She's a calm girl who would prefer a calm friend. She doesn't seem to care about cats. We adopt to approved out-of-state adopters. Transport available to the Northeast/Midwest.

Story
We adopted Odin from the Atlanta Humane Society when he was a puppy. He is beyond a good dog. He is now seven, and we are unable to give him the exercise he requires. Our schedule doesn't allow us to be as active as it used to be for him. This has caused him to act out by eating off the counters, growling if our baby gets near him, and occasionally showing obedience. This is all on us since we can't get him stimulated as he needs, and that hurts me. I want him to go somewhere that he will get all the attention and exercise that his breed desires. He is a good boy and an awesome companion when he gets to work. He is a bit wild around other dogs, so some may want to fight, but he is friendly if they are equally wild. The fee is to ensure he goes to someone who really wants him and can afford to provide for him.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for Jason, giving you the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Jason is an 11-month-old, 65-pound shepherd mix with a gentle soul and so much potential. He and his mom, along with his seven siblings, were rescued from a severe neglect situation where they had little to no human interaction. Understandably, Jason started off very shy, but thanks to patient care and professional training, he’s ready to find his forever family. Jason is cautious when meeting new people, but if you’ve got treats, you’ll be his new best friend in no time. He’s not a big snuggler yet, but with time and trust, he’ll form a deep, rewarding bond with his person. He’ll do best with an experienced adopter in a quieter home (without small children), with a fenced yard for exercise. Jason loves other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine buddy to show him the ropes. Despite his rough start, Jason is on his way to becoming an amazing companion. His trainer will even work with his adopter to help him transition smoothly into his new home. With patience and love, Jason will reward you with loyalty for life. Jason has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. His estimated birthdate is 11/01/2024 and his adoption fee is $85. If you want to know more about Jason, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. . After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Major Mally is an all-around amazing boy! Smart is an understatement; he is very easy to train and likes to please! He knows heel (leash walking), a stop command, off, touch, sit, and down. Major is reported to be house-trained and to have previously lived with other dogs with no issue. He is playful and funny with children, but at 80 pounds, he can knock little ones over just because he's not aware of his size. Major would thrive with an active person/family. He is the perfect running/walking partner & playmate. He would excel at agility, dock diving, etc, as he is so smart & eager to please, but not hyper like a purebred Belgian Shepherd. The best of both worlds! Major is 3 years old & 80lbs. If you'd like to find out more about making this gorgeous pup a member of your family & to see whether (s)he would be a good fit in your home, please fill out our adoption form here: https://airtable.com/shrlL2pbqSGTRJiyc *If you live in rented accommodation, please familiarise yourself with the property management's pet policy. Our adoption fee covers an initial comprehensive veterinary examination, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test, (for dogs > 12 months), parasite screening with treatment if needed, flea/tick treatment if needed, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm preventative medication, (for dogs > 3 months) plus any other medication or treatment needed up until the day they are adopted. *The breed mixes listed are an educated guess, based on both temperament and appearance*

Story
Seeking to rehome 2 female GSDs (not blood related, but basically a bonded pair). Saige is ~10yrs old w/ a darker red/black coat & was rescued in 2020 after being dumped by her previous owner. Jasmine is 7.5yrs old w/ a lighter black/tan coat & was adopted in 2021 from a foster family. We need to rehome them because they had some mild anxiety which has sadly been steadily increasing since the birth of our daughter in 2024. We have done training & made improvements w/ both, but nothing has been working the past 1.5yrs. Saige has become reactive towards my daughter over the past year, barking at her when she is in the same room. This isn't a behavior we have seen in her before, as she is normally friendly & gentle with both adults & children. Jasmine has gotten more anxious & withdrawn. Neither of them have any major medical issues, apart from the anxiety. They both have been consistently up to date on vaccines & regular vet checkups since we adopted them and are groomed regularly.
