Story
Gwendolyn is a bright, joyful, love-soaked girl who brings sunshine and silliness everywhere she goes. Shes great with kids, has lived happily with dogs and cats, and greets the world with a friendly, playful spirit. Her whole body wiggles when shes excited, and she loves nothing more than jumping into fun, bouncy play or curling up close to her favorite people.
Shes manageable on leash, eager to explore, and full of that happy, youthful energy that makes every outing feel like an adventure. With other dogs shes enthusiastic and social, she listens well, shakes things off quickly, and is always ready to get back to having fun.
In her foster home, Gwendolyn showed just how loving and people-oriented she is. She adored the kids, played sweetly with the resident dog, respected the cat, and soaked up every bit of affection she could get. Shes goofy, clingy in the cutest way, and happiest when shes part of the family action.
Gwendolyn is a playful, affectionate, big-hearted girl who just wants to love and be loved. Story
We adopted Odin from the Atlanta Humane Society when he was a puppy. He is beyond a good dog. He is now seven, and we are unable to give him the exercise he requires. Our schedule doesn't allow us to be as active as it used to be for him. This has caused him to act out by eating off the counters, growling if our baby gets near him, and occasionally showing obedience. This is all on us since we can't get him stimulated as he needs, and that hurts me. I want him to go somewhere that he will get all the attention and exercise that his breed desires. He is a good boy and an awesome companion when he gets to work. He is a bit wild around other dogs, so some may want to fight, but he is friendly if they are equally wild. The fee is to ensure he goes to someone who really wants him and can afford to provide for him.

Story
Cinder – ID #17916 – Kennel #19 Arrived March 31st – Dutch Shepherd Mix – Brindle – Female – 4 years old – 37.2 lbs – Will be spayed prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Meet Cinder — a breathtakingly beautiful brindle Dutch Shepherd mix with warm amber eyes and an elegance about her that is absolutely impossible to ignore. This precious girl arrived at the shelter on March 31st, and while she carries a little shyness with her, one look at that stunning face makes it clear that this is a dog worth every bit of patience and gentleness she may need to feel safe and loved again. Cinder knows how to sit when asked and takes treats with the most delicate, gentle softness — this sweet girl is clearly something very special. She is a slender girl who could stand to gain a pound or two, and what she needs most right now is a calm, nurturing home where she can relax, eat well, and finally exhale. The right person is going to watch her blossom and feel so grateful they were the one who got to be there for it. At 4 years old Cinder is in the prime of her life, with so many beautiful years ahead of her just waiting to be spent with a family who will cherish her. She is heartworm negative and up to date on all of her vaccines, and she will be spayed prior to adoption — healthy at heart and ready for the fresh start she so deeply deserves. If you have been looking for a gentle, gorgeous, and deeply special girl who simply needs a soft place to land and someone to believe in her, Cinder is waiting for you in Kennel #19. Come meet her — she is ready for her person, and all she needs is for that person to come find her. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. Story
Josie is so special and has a sunny, goofy personality in spite of a tough start to life. We adopted her off the E-list at FCAS, but she quickly came out of her shell with some love and attention. She is so loving and gentle around her people! Our resident dog did not like her so they went to two boarding trainings together, but the trainers determined they will never get along. It was heartbreaking. The silver lining is that she has been through a lot of socialization and leash training and knows basic commands and "place." Her trainers loved her!Josie loves all people and thrives just being next to you. She is very gentle with young children and her favorite activities are fetch and going on walks. Even though she looks like a Malinois, she is medium energy and loves a good nap. She can spend time in a crate with no problems and can loose leash walk. She is dog selective and prefers small or medium dogs and lower energy dogs. Please let her be the great family dog she wants to be!
