Story
This is boy was a surrender along with his siblings at 6 weeks old. We only know he is a Dutch Shepherd and Belgian Malinois. He is loveable, smart and shy. He would do great with another dog to boost his self confidence. Bentley needs time to warm up. He likes kids, but would probably do best with older children. He likes dogs, and cats.

Story
Knox is a 2 year old Dutch Shepherd mix. He is a big boy weighing in at 76 pounds who is full of puppy like joy and love. He can be shy with new people at first, but warms up and wants all the pets he can get. He loves to play with his toys and is happy playing by himself or with his people. He is learning to fetch, but right now he thinks its fun, not an absolute need.  Knox is good on a leash and loves going on walks. He can ignore barking dogs and other noises. He will look, but not react much, if at all. For the most part, Knox is a very laid back dog with a good off switch. He is crate and potty trained. At the shelter Knox did ok with a dog for room mate, but it looks like at sometime in the past he was attacked by another dog.so he needs very slow introductions (like 2 weeks or more) and a person that canmake sure the other dog gives him room to be comfortable. Given a choice with a dog pushing at him he will run away, however if he feels threatened he has snapped at other dogs. He currently plays in a group of 4 dogs and does great. Knox is an absolute love.  ##2409582##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Duke and I’m definitely royalty! The elderly gentleman who adopted me as an 8-week old puppy had to undergo emergency surgery and lost his leg to diabetes, leaving himunable to properly care for me. I was only 10 months old at the time. I am now a 1-year oldstrapping young pup who has known only love and playtime my whole life. I have boundlessenergy and am up for whatever game you have in mind.. tug, fetch, long walks, you name it! Ineed a securely fenced yard as I know no boundaries (having been raised on 25 acres and loveto chase the wildlife, i.e., critters, deer, nothing is off limits)! I have shared my home with catsand will even play with cats! I have not been introduced (other than thru my kennel;) to myForster Mom’s dog as he is a special needs dog with delicate hips. Although I display “normal”fencing behavior in my kennel, it appears that I will be ok with another dog given slow, properintroduction. The best fit would be a dog that can keep up with my high-energy personality! That said, I CANNOT be crated. I am strong and have destroyed a large crate from the insideout. I do well in a large welded wire kennel (minimum size 6 x 8 x 4, pictured). My Foster Momkeeps me safe in a 10 x 8 x 6 kennel which I cannot topple and am safe in when she is away.As my prior home offered me limited opportunity to meet new people, I am wary of strangersand need slow, proper introductions. Once I know you, you are my friend! I bond easily withmy “person” and will guard that person and my home. An experienced owner is preferred. I amNOT a couch potato - and given the opportunity, I will probably eat your couch! If you’re looking for a constant companion to start every day will a smile, woof and wag - I’myour guy!12 Month old German ShepherdNeuteredMicrochippedHouse trainedGood with CatsPlayfulVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lexie is a 4-5 year old GSD who is in need of a forever family/person. From her caregiver: She would do best in a home with no other dogs, small animals or small children, children over 10 would be best. She is a great dog, knows commands (even some German ones!) and is super super playful and full of energy. She has lived outside of a warehouse majority of her life, and would love to have a forever home.
