Miguel was found tied to a pole at a middle school here in Houston. He was only 4 months in 2024. My friend saw him and told me about him and, despite my busy schedule, I wanted him! Miguel is such a funny dog. He has a big personality and loves to play. He enjoys baths, balls, and bullies (his best friend is a pit bull). He likes long walks and long naps with his plushies. I'm looking for a home that will allow him to continue to enjoy the little pleasures but also be patient with him because he does have a big spirts of energy, but he really is a chill dog when the energy has dissipated some. He's very affectionate too, so give him lots of pets and hugs and forehead kisses.

Beautiful Lucy, a gentle, loving girl who is great with children, enjoys car rides and walks in the neighborhood where she is on squirrel patrol! She especially enjoys going with her mom to dog-friendly café’s with outdoor seating where she gets to soak up the wait-staff’s attention and perhaps have a pup cup. She loves playing tug-of-war in the backyard with any dog toy, and she occasionally goes to the dog park and doggy day care. Lucy is looking for a new home now that her mom has downsized to an apartment and no longer has a backyard for Lucy to run around in. She was rescued from the street -- a car wash to be exact -- when she was just a youngster and has lived with a small dog ever since. Lucy’s ideal home would be with a family who would include her in family outings such as trips to the kid’s baseball games or walks along the bayou walking trails. At the end of a busy day, she loves nothing more than relaxing and some quiet downtime with her people. She would enjoy living with another easygoing, calm, small/medium-sized dog friend. Est DOB: 1/8/22, GSD mix, male, currently 75 lbs +, neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, heart-worm negative and microchipped Meet Haribo! (Hari for short) This incredibly handsome boy was born into the rescue on Jan. 8, 2022. He is a happy, goofy boy with a lot of personality. Haribo and his sister Honor were both born with a congenital issue called Megaesophogus. Basically his esophagus is too large to move food adequately from his mouth to his stomach so he just eats differently that others. When it’s feeding time, Hari sits in a special chair called a Bailey chair. Haribo is a clever boy who knows how to get into his chair for feeding times all on his own. He does very well eating and sitting in the chair for 20 minutes afterwards. He eats twice a day and has been eating Royal Canin. Like his sister Honor, his Megaesophogus is easily managed with an inexpensive drug called Sildenafil. He gets 50 mg a day. (25 mg in the a.m. and p.m.) Haribo is great on a leash, loves to play with his sister and likes to play fetch. He loves getting attention and will nuzzle your hands to get a nice petting. He likes walks around the lakes in his foster family’s neighborhood and is interested in the ducks and squirrels but doesn’t try to chase. He is in a foster home with other dogs and school aged children that he does well with. Haribo is in a foster home with other dogs and school aged children that he does well with. Malie’s Story Malie was found wandering the streets severely underweight, doing her best to survive. Despite her rough start, her bright eyes and gentle spirit showed she was ready for a second chance. She was taken to the vet, fully checked, and brought up to date on all vaccinations. Now about 11 months old, she has spent the last four months in foster care and has made an incredible transformation she is healthy, happy, and full of life. Malie is smart, affectionate, and very people-focused. She plays well with her foster’s male Jack Russell Terrier, loves being around her people, and is crate trained. She knows commands like sit, shake, and come, and sweetly responds to “kisses” by standing still for affection. At bedtime, she goes right into her crate and settles in for the night. Malie would do best with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a loyal, loving companion.
