Whiskey won't be picky about treats you offer him but you might as well know that he loves fruits and vegetables, frozen yogurt, and anything with peanut butter! He weighs 63 pounds and is moderately active. He likes running, tugging, toys, and water. He is a good student and learns quickly. He knows the sit, stay, come, no, and down commands. He likes to lead while on a leash and might run away while off leash but he'll come back if you call him. He is used to children as young as six and is easygoing, friendly, playful and jumpy around them. He is easygoing, friendly, and playful with dogs and wants to play with the ones he meets during walks or at the dog park. He is afraid of baths but not bothered at all by thunder and fireworks. He loves to be petted. He is still working on house training and used to being crated up to eight hours a day. He paws at the door when he needs to go out. He had to be disciplined for digging and jumping up. His family said he is a wonderful dog but their new baby is allergic to him. I was left in front of an abandoned store to fend for myself. My luck changed, however, when some kind humans got me to safety. I am a young and active guy. Duchess is an active, playful lady who always needs something to do and loves everything. Luckily, she has a lot of interests. She likes car rides, fetch, running, tugging, toys, walks, water, chase, and wrestling. She weighs 54 pounds has lots of energy. She is affectionate and loves sitting on a lap and being petted. She is house trained and used to spending her days either outside or freely roaming the house. She's smart and knows commands like sit, come, no, down, off, and fetch. She had to be disciplined for chewing, begging, and jumping. She likes to lead the way while leash walking and jump up for fun. While off leash, she might run off but will come back when you call her. She is intense, excitable, but also quiet, submissive and a bit needy. We were given conflicting information about her behavior around other dogs so if you have one, you'll need to bring it to meet her. Her family said she was friendly, playful, rough and aggressive but that she behaved well at the dog park and when meeting other dogs during walks. She was given up because of the new baby coming into the home. The information about her behavior around children is conflicting too so please bring any children to meet her. She may be friendly, playful, and submissive or rough, mouthy, and jumpy. In her previous home (1.5 years) she behaved well around other dogs and children as young as three but she has always loved to rough house. This lovable social butterfly is hoping for an active family to love her and give her a little guidance and a lot of exercise. Daria is an excitable girl who really wants your attention. She is jumpy and vocal. She is curious and intense, active and confident. She weighs 40 pounds and enjoys leading while walking on a leash. She knows the sit command but we don't know if she is house trained. She transferred from another shelter and forgot to bring her resume. We haven't seen her interact with children so you can always bring yours to meet her. She has a desire to please people and enjoys being close. She likes running, sticks, and chasing balls but has no interest in picking one up. She has behaved well when interacting with other shelter dogs. COURTESY POST: Houston, Texas area:  Everyone meet “Cairo”.  Cairo was rescued by a Good Samaritan off the streets fending for himself. They took him under their wing, got him fully vetted and now looking for a FOSTER or a HOME of his own! This sweetie is a Dutch Shepherd, 1-1/2 years old, gets along great with other dogs and has been fully vetted and neutered.  He is also heart worm negative! He walks great on a leash, loves to go for car rides and enjoys playing with his toys. He is also ready to just chill and watch a movie with you on the couch.    This boy would make a great addition to any family! With Cairo’s adoption, he has a special package from his finders, that will go with him:  1.  An electronic microchip identification implant just in case he ever gets lost. 2.  A 1-year supply of Purina Pro Plan Pet Food delivered directly to their home. 3.  A free 18-week group training program including AKC Canine Good Citizen training as well as a 6-Session private training program for the custom 1-on-1 attention they will need so they and Cairo can learn to work together. He was found as a puppy while I was working driving truck's and had to put him in my truck 🚛 so he didn't get run over, and we kept him and took care of him very well, and made him healthy food, and now after 2 years the Grand kids are not staying with us and we as senior citizens almost, don't have the energy and time to spend with him, great puppy, but he needs a home with kids or other dogs to play with, because me and my wife may be moving in a senior facility and don't have the money and time to care for a young adult animal unfortunately
