DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Pretty Gabbi is 6-1/2yo, weighs 25lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, but is not microchipped.  Through no fault of her own, as she's a great dog, her guardian has made the difficult decision to rehome her.  "Gabbi knows sit and for some reason she understands 'you can come' when I'm leaving the house.  She LOVES riding in the car and is very disappointed when she can't come.  Gabbi is so loving.  She loves to cuddle.  Her spot is right next to me on the bed.  She loves giving kisses. And, she will howl now and then when she's excited.  It's so cute !!!!   For a 6-7yo dog, she seems very young and energetic.  She could use a little more training.  I have to train her alone because she can't focus with the other dogs around." Gabbi's guardian states why she's made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "I have six dogs plus my daughter's chihuahua - so a total of seven.  My health isn't the best, and I'm finding seven dogs to be too much energy in the house - even though they are like therapy pets and I enjoy them tremendously." Gabbi's guardian states the following regarding children:  Gabbi has been around children, ages 0-16, in her previous home, so her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Gabbi has not been around children since I got her in August, but her previous owner (who I'm still in touch with) says Gabbi has been around many children from newborn to age 16 and she was great with them.  The previous owner says that if the children pulled her tail or got too rough with her, Gabbi would just run away." Gabbi's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Gabbi lives with 6 other dogs, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "Gabbi does great with all of our dogs.  She can be a little bossy with them, but she gets along great with them." Gabbi's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Gabbi lives with a cat, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "Gabbi loves to chase and bark at our cat, but she has never hurt the cat." Gabbi's guardian describes her as: Very active Couch potato Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Independent Protective Always at your side Indoor dog Gabbi's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "She would love to be in a family who will give a lot of love and affection.  She would probably do better without cats and probably fewer dogs than I have." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Mechanicsville, MD ***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. If you are interested in ADOPTING me, please CLICK HERE:  ADOPT ME 2. When your application is received, a Placement Manager will do a basic screening. Applications will be forwarded to the owner for further screening and continuation in the adoption process.  3. Please give us 48-72 hours for a Placement Manager to respond after you submit your application. If it has been longer than that, please email:  rescuewellrehome@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE: We provide ALL of the information we have on this pet, here on this page, in its entirety from the pet's owner. ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12007Hi my name is Acorn. My love language is physical touch (I'm a little nervous at first but once I warm up, I’ll be stuck to you!). I'm still a puppy at heart, who's always down for a good time. A true lover of the great outdoors! I am working on leash walking ( insert eye roll) I pull on walk’s because i’m so excited for what is around the bend. I don’t mind my Kennel and sleep all night. I won’t chew up things that aren’t mine or mess on the floor. Im a little sensitive and really want to be the best girl, I need someone who will be patient with me when I make mistakes. Looking for a goofy human in crime - someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. I'm just a girl, standing in front of a human, asking if they can love me. - 1 year old- 39 lbs- house trained- crate trained- working on leash walking- very playful- energetic- loves attention -loves outdoors -loves snuggles

If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information! KNOWN WITH KIDS: Joey historically was great with kids in HIS home but wary of kids he is not familiar with. KNOWN COMMANDS: Still gathering information on this! Stay tuned! KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Joey is crate and house trained KNOWN LIKES: Joey loves to hang with his familiar people! He's rather chill in the home, but playtime is also very popular KNOWN DISLIKES: Joey does not like strangers interacting with him until he warms up to them. He is engaging and loves an attentive owner that has interest in interacting with him. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Joey really wants to be a family dog with a family of chill adults looking to love on him!!! New people are not his favorite, so a home with few visitors or regular visitors he can familiarize himself with would be a great fit! He needs a little work on leash, but would be very happy with a big yard to walk around and sun himself in over walks. While he is ok with other dogs off leash, he dosnt really play or interact, and does get a little scared of dogs that are on leash.
