Meet Lanie, a lively and loving pup, with a personality as big as her amazing ears! This spirited girl is always on the move, ready to join you for a fun-filled day of play and adventure. Whether it's a long walk in the park or a game of fetch, Lanie is up for anything that gets her tail wagging. She plays well with the resident dog in her foster home and is easily redirected with toys when she eventually tires out her dog friends. And when the excitement winds down, Lanie is the perfect snuggle buddy, ready to curl up next to you and shower you with love (and of course, get some love right back).
With Lanie it's more than fun and games; she's a smart cookie too! She's just about mastered potty training, is making progress with crate training, and is responding well to words like "sit" and "off." Lanie's also quite the linguist, understanding directions in both English and Spanish!
With her playful antics and loving cuddles, Lanie is a fun-loving friend looking for an adopter who shares her zest for life! Are you ready to welcome this delightful bundle of energy into your home? Apply today to meet Lanie!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
