CORB Peppa is such a cutie with that squishy Frenchie face! She’s a petite gray 4 year old spayed female French Bulldog who was surrendered to Lovejoy by an owner who could no longer care for her. Peppa loves to be outside and explore on her walks. She loves the company of people and is good with other dogs. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Meet Kismet, a resilient and loving French Bulldog with a story that pulls at the heartstrings. Though he's not a pug, Kismet captured our hearts the moment we met him at the shelter. Found as a stray, his past is a mystery, but it's likely he was used for breeding until he developed a spinal condition, leaving him paralyzed in his hind legs. When he was no longer considered "useful," he was abandoned, facing an uncertain future. Thankfully, Kismet's journey led him to us, where he's been given a second chance.Despite his challenges, Kismet's spirit remains unbroken. He does not have use of his hind legs, but he's perfected a charming little hop to get around on his own, though he does have a wheelchair that he uses occasionally. This special boy has a heart full of love and a gentle, affectionate nature. Kismet adores the company of other dogs and is always ready for a snuggle. His unique light apricot fur and sweet, light eyes make him stand out, but it's his warm personality that truly shines.Kismet does require some extra care, including having his bladder expressed several times a day, as he's unable to urinate on his own. He's incredibly patient and cooperative during the process, and our dedicated team is here to teach you everything you need to know if you're unfamiliar with this aspect of his care.At around 4 years old, Kismet is looking for a home with someone who understands the commitment needed to care for a special needs dog or is willing to learn. Meet Ravioli, a truly special and loving boy who’s searching for his forever home. Ravioli was found as a stray, a surprising fate given his limited mobility. It's likely he was dumped after losing the use of his hind legs. He is likely suffering from Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a condition that’s relatively common in French Bulldogs, which has significantly affected his hind legs.Due to his condition, Ravioli’s ability to walk is quite limited. He can occasionally stand and take a few steps but often needs help to get around. He has a wheelchair that helps him, but he is also comfortable scooting, using his front legs to propel him forward. Ravioli also requires his bladder and bowels to be expressed several times a day to prevent infections, as he is unable to potty on his own. Our dedicated staff is more than happy to teach you how to care for him in this way if you’re considering making him a part of your family.Ravioli is a sweetheart through and through. His gentle and friendly nature shines through, and he adores human attention. Despite his mobility challenges, he has a warm and loving demeanor that endears him to everyone he meets. Ravioli also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. He’s a big fan of cuddles and treats, making him a great companion.
