Story
Fidelito is a happy boy. He loves when you talk to him. He always wants scratches on his tummy and yummy food. Unfortunately, we are relocating out of state into an apartment who does not allow dogs. We have had him since a baby. He does not NOT pee in the house. He sleeps in a crate all night. He does not chew any furniture or misbehaves. He is a special boy and we would love for a loving Family to enjoy him.

Story
Meet Bonnie! She has mastered the doggy door and enjoys going in and out all day long. Bonnie is completely 100% housebroken by use of the doggy door and loves to entertain herself by tossing her toys around, especially her very favorite hamburger toy! She’ll even happily bring it to anyone she trusts for a game of fetch! Bonnie is a total sweetheart who loves to be held in your arms. She was attention-starved before coming to rescue, but has blossomed since finding her foster home. At night, Bonnie snuggles in bed with her humans and loves being the center of attention. She’s truly enjoying her life as a house dog, and she prefers someone who will let her lay on the couch beside them. Bonnie is spayed and received her vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies) and she is microchipped. Bonnie has lived with multiple small dogs since rescued. Larger dogs can be intimidating for her. She was previously fostered in a home with three small dogs and a German Shepherd, and she was terrified of the larger dog and she avoided the big dog. Bonnie currently lives with two small male dogs (10 pounds and 4 pounds) and one female dog (20 pounds), and she enjoys their company. Bonnie can be selective about whom she trusts due to a fear of strangers. She would do best in a quiet, mature home. With time and patience, you’ll discover her affectionate side—once she feels safe, she’s all about love, snuggles, and playing with her toys! You will quickly know when Bonnie has decided you are trustworthy, because she will bring you her very special prized possession – her hamburger! Bonnie has been fostered with older, respectful kids who understood boundaries and she did wonderfully with them; however, Bonnie wasn’t treated very nicely in the past, so the rescue as a measure of setting her up for success, will be placing her in a home without small or young children. If you’re an open-minded person with love to give and willing to give Bonnie the time she needs to adjust, you absolutely won’t be disappointed! She may not run up to greet you with kisses right away, but with ample time (historically about 2-4 days), she will become a totally different dog, revealing the gem she truly is. Once she trusts you, she’ll happily let you hold her like a baby and shower you with love! We are looking for placement with a yard for Bonnie. She wouldn’t be happy in apartment style living. She absolutely loves going out into the backyard and goes outside during the day all on her own to play, (throw her favorite toy up in the air to herself), sunbathe etc. PLEASE NO CALLS OR TEXTS, AS WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS. If you’re interested, please complete an application at: saveabowwow.com/rescue/adoption-form. If a dog is listed, it is available for adoption. Once a dog is pending adoption, this page will be updated accordingly. We are an all-volunteer nonprofit organization and do not have anyone available to monitor the many phone calls we receive each day. We would be happy to review your application and, ideally, approve you to provide our rescued dog with a loving adoptive home if your situation is the right fit for this awesome dog. Thank you for your interest and for reading this listing in its entirety! Fine Print: -All of our French bulldogs must be walked with a harness (never on a neck collar). -The rescue requires adoptive family to obtain pet insurance for coverage of congenital and hereditary conditions. This is for any of the dogs in our rescue identified as a French Bulldog or a Frenchie Mix. Adoption will be finalized once the proof of pet insurance requirement is met. (There are some great policies ranging between $28-35per month) -We have an open door policy and are always here to discuss anything that may arise with your adoptive pet. After an adoption is conducted please do not hesitate to reach out. -This breed generally speaking cannot swim and will sink like bowling balls so we do not adopt out to any homes with unfenced pools. -If you’re seeking a running or hiking companion, this is not the breed for you. These are funny, quirky, special little dogs that enjoy being with their human but tend to be lazy couch potatoes with bouts of “zoomies”. -All breeds and ages are our veterinarians best educated guess (unless otherwise stated that our group has breeder paperwork)

Story
BREEDER SURRENDER. DATE OF BIRTH 04/18/2023. Microchipped with AKC. Spayed. Pennt has had 3 sets of puppy shots and Rabies 1year vaccine. The rescue has covered the cost of her medical, harness and permanent reunification id tags. More about Pennys story and how she came to rescue; So penny is perfect in our eyes! Owner purchased from a breeder who is AKC registered for $$$$$$ but returned her back to breeder after having her 3 months because as she grew, her snout was “too long” and wasn’t pushed in enough so she didn’t look like a “Real Frenchie”. The beauty of this is she doesn’t have breathing issues like they normally have! We still haven’t heard her snore which is almost unheard of for the breed. Most need nares or BOAS surgery and because her snout is a little wider / longer she’s actually healthier. (For this reason, we have listed her as a Frenchton, which is a French Bulldog mixed with Boston Terrier even though she’s full Frenchie according to the AKC breeder we got her from) She’s been dewormed. She was eating victor brand food and likes nutro / blue buffalo also. She’s great with all the other dogs and with kids! She’s now learned the “sit” command. She is doing well with harness walks now but before didn’t know what a walk was. She doesn’t mind going to the vets and thinks it’s great to get all their attention. Doesn’t mind big nor small dogs. She’s smart but wasn’t loved and taught much prior so she’s being spoiled now! She knows the doggy door and is very playful. She needs active playful dogs as companions and she loves to go out and explore the yard throughout the day. A yard for her is a must because she really enjoys going outside to do zoomies, sunbathe and give the perimeter a once over. She will burry her toy under the blanket for later. And is obsessed with chasing the water hose. She looks forward to the water hose being turned on and she will run and jump to “catch” the water. Sometimes she will play in her water bowl. She has a humongous personality and is such a special, truly an awesome dog. While we have had a lot of applications for her, we believe she’s best suited not only with a yard but a younger dog friend to play with. She’s been 100% housetrained at her foster families home with use of the doggy door. She had potty pad experience before coming to rescue but she hasn’t used them since she learned the dog door. She knows how to use the pet stairs to climb up into bed with you at night and shes a really great cuddler! **** Please APPLY (saveabowwow.com/rescue/adoption-form) should you be interested. **** If a dog is listed, it is available for adoption. ****Once a dog is pending adoption, this page will be updated accordingly. **** NO CALLS/TEXTS: We are an all-volunteer nonprofit organization and do not have anyone to monitor the many phone calls received in a day.
