This adorable little guy just turned one year old on April 1, 2026. His given name, Foo, is derived from a Chinese character “福” (foo) and holds special symbolic meaning to his prior family, though he’s also affectionately known to us as Gary.
Gary’s story is a unique one and not your typical rescue case. He came to us after being impeccably cared for, truly a dog who has always known love. No trauma, no abuse, and no expense was spared in his upbringing. He attended every vaccine vet visit; his previous owners even purchased him from a breeder for over $6,000.00 and he was surrendered with his AKC-certified pedigree papers outlining his lineage. His owners were moving out of the State and chose not to take him with them.
Gary has a wonderfully easygoing temperament and is well-socialized with dogs of all sizes. He’s a happy, adaptable companion who enjoys being part of the action. While he hasn't been a barker, he will scratch at the door just to be near you, even if you’re only in the next room. Because of his desire to be your velcro buddy, he would thrive in a home where someone is around often or can include him in daily adventures. We think due to Garys very social demeanor, he would really benefit from having a friend, with that said, we are seeking an adopter with another canine companion for Gary.
If you’re looking for an incredibly loving, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Gary could be the perfect match. We would even consider Gary for a home with children because his temperament is so mild mannered and easy going for the breed. He met a cat and showed no reaction whatsoever, so a feline home will also be considered.

Standard Rescue Disclaimer and Information:
-Please no texts or calls, apply if interested.
-All of our French bulldogs must be walked with a harness (never on a neck collar).
-The rescue requires adoptive family to obtain pet insurance for coverage of congenital and hereditary conditions. This is for any of the dogs in our rescue identified as a French Bulldog or a Frenchie Mix. Adoption will be finalized once the proof of pet insurance requirement is met. (There are some great policies ranging between $28-60 per month)
-We have an open door policy and are always here to discuss anything that may arise with your adoptive pet. After an adoption is conducted, please do not hesitate to reach out.
-This breed generally speaking cannot swim and will sink like bowling balls so we do not adopt out to any homes with unfenced pools.
