Story
Meet Myla – The Sweetest Brindle Frenchie Looking for Her Happily Ever After  At just 2½ years old and 25 pounds of pure love, Myla is a beautiful brindle French Bulldog with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains gentle, loving, and full of joy. Myla came to us after being used for breeding, where her health and comfort were sadly neglected. Her severe cauliflower ears are the result of untreated allergies and chronic ear infections that were left untreated to worsen. Thankfully, a caring family member reached out for help — and now Myla is safe, loved, and finally receiving the medical care she’s always deserved from LHS and doing great in her foster home. Myla came to Legacy Humane Society with a condition known as cauliflower ear, which developed from a chronic, untreated ear infection. This has caused some hearing loss, but we are hopeful that her hearing may improve if our initial treatment plan is successful. LHS is currently treating her ears, and she’s responding. While she may always have a few cosmetic scars from her past, her spirit shines brighter than ever. The first stage of treatment involves medicating the ear canal every other week using a syringe. This process will continue through January 22, 2026, with regular evaluations along the way to monitor her progress and make any necessary adjustments to her care plan. If there is no significant improvement by that date, the next step will be a total ear canal ablation surgery performed by a specialist. Because this is a pre-existing condition, Legacy Humane Society will cover all costs associated with her treatment until the issue is fully resolved. Visit this website to learn more about the ear ablation surgery:  https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/total-ear-canal-ablation-and-bulla-osteotomy-tecabo Myla’s personality is as lovely as her smile — she’s quiet, playful, and adores cuddles. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and everyone she meets. She walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides, fluffy toys, and of course, treats and snuggles! Now, Myla is looking for what she’s never truly had — a forever family who will love her for who she is, not for what she can produce. She deserves a home filled with kindness, warmth, and a lifetime of belly rubs. If you have room in your heart and home for this precious girl, please complete an adoption application. Myla’s foster mom would love to share more about her journey and ongoing ear care and will reach out. The adoption fee is $275.00 and covers her spay, vaccinations, de-wormer, first dose of heartworm preventative and microchip. Please apply at: http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Help us show Myla that her best days are just beginning — because every dog deserves a life full of love.  Myla is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, Heartworm negative and microchipped.   We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Hi, I’m Bailey! I’m a 3 year-old Frenchie girl, and at 22 pounds I’m the perfect size for cuddles and adventures. I’m the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet—I love playing with my doggy friends and I’m already house, crate, and leash trained, so I’ll settle right in with you. I get along great with kids and other dogs, and I’m happiest when I’m snuggled up close or bouncing around with my toys. Walks and car rides are some of my favorite things, and I’ll be your cheerful companion wherever we go. I don’t have a favorite toy because I love them all, and I’ll proudly carry them around like treasures. My humans call me a “super smuggler” because I love burrowing in close and making you feel loved. I’m playful, cuddly, and ready to bring joy to my forever family. I do have allergies so will need occastional treatment for those. My adoption fee is $700. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted. Please consider becoming a foster home for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. You can fill out a foster application at Foster Application | Boston Terrier Rescue Of North Texas. This will allow you to possibly become a foster home for one of our little Boston Terriers in need. Thank you for considering the possibility of fostering for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas!   Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts!  November 30, 2025, 7:08 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Samson—but my friends call me Sammie. I’m a 9 month-old Boston Terrier/Frenchie mix with a big heart, a gentle soul, and a whole lot of puppy charm. I may be young, but I’ve already learned how to love life—especially when it involves bones, toys, and romping around the yard. Grass, leaves, sticks… if it’s outside, I’m into it. I’m treat-motivated (hint hint), crate trained, and working on my puppy manners every day. I love all people and all dogs—truly, I’ve never met a stranger. I’m cuddly, easygoing, and gentle, with a soft spot for snuggling up after playtime. I’d be so happy to have a doggy friend to share my adventures and naps with. Life hasn’t always been easy for me. My back legs are a little wobbly, and I’ll have some long-term mobility challenges. But here’s the thing—I don’t know I’m different, and I don’t let it slow me down. I run, I play, I explore, and I love with everything I’ve got. I’m looking for a family who sees me for who I am: a joyful, resilient pup who just wants to be loved and supported. If you’re ready to help me grow into the best version of myself—with patience, kindness, and a whole lot of belly rubs—I’m ready to give you my whole heart. My adoption fee is $675.  NO CHILDREN UNDER 10.  Available early September. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! We are always looking for good foster homes. Story
Hi, I’m Rio! I’m a two-year-old chocolate Frenchie, and if you’re wondering—yes, I really am as cute as I sound. I’m just 20 pounds of snuggles, sunshine, and squeaky rubber footballs (mine has an arrow on it, and yes, I take it everywhere...even to the vet!). I’m one of those rare dogs who shares his toys, loves his people, and makes friends wherever I go. I don’t guard; I don’t grumble—I just play! I get along great with kids and other dogs, and if you’ve got a doggy buddy for me, even better. I’m house-trained, I know how to use a doggy door, and I’m an A+ snuggler when it’s time to wind down. Here’s the part where I need a little extra TLC: I have a sensitive tummy, so I’m on a strict diet with my special food and supplements—Purina Elemental and a sprinkle of ForteFlora with vitamin B12. This costs $130 for a 16.5 pound bag. No treats for me (I know, tragic), but I’m still a happy, tail-wiggling boy who doesn’t let it get me down. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a playful streak and a forever love for plush footballs, I might just be your perfect match.   Because of these  special   needs , BTRNT knows Rio's adopter must be someone committed to giving him the care he deserves. To help him find that perfect match, his adoption fee will be waived-instead, we'll ask for a donation. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! Story
Hi, I’m Capone, the sweetest, happiest 4-year-old boy you’ll ever meet! I love pets so much that I go into a total state of bliss—I’ll never want you to stop! I get along with all dogs and will happily play with anyone who’s up for it, but if they’re not, I’ll just share my toy instead. That’s just the kind of easygoing guy I am! I’m crate trained, leash trained, and super cuddly—a true velcro baby. Because of a back injury, I use wheels to get around, and I wear diapers, but don’t worry, I don’t mind at all! I just need a few diaper changes a day and some time without one to prevent rashes. My dream home has plenty of space for me to zoom around in my wheels and a family who will take me on walks and to the park. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving pup, I’m your guy!  Because of these  special   needs , BTRNT knows Capone's adopter must be someone committed to giving him the care he deserves. Story
Hi there, I’m Moto — your golden boy with a heart full of love and a nose that’s always pointed toward the next cuddle session. I’m a 2½-year-old Frenchie, tipping the scales at a sturdy 34 pounds of pure snuggle power. My coat? A gorgeous golden hue that glows in the sunlight — just like my personality. I’m house trained, doggie-door savvy, and leash-ready for those relaxing strolls I adore. I’m a mellow guy at heart, happiest when I’m close to my humans. I’m gentle, affectionate, and a total cuddlebug — the kind who melts into your lap and stays there. I get along great with older considerate kids and love being part of a family, but I’m not too keen on sharing my people with other dogs, especially the boys, but girls are ok. I prefer to be your one and only. I haven’t quite figured out the fun of toys or doggy playdates yet, but I’m open to learning — especially if it means more time with you. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s all about love, comfort, and quiet joy, I might just be your perfect match. Let’s take a walk together… and maybe never stop. My adoption fee is $850. Story
Franklin is almost 1 year old. He is very energetic. Loves to run and play all day. He is an expert at fetch, brings back the ball every time. He will pick up every stick he can find and loves long walks. Hes very friendly and has never shown signs of aggression. I adopted him at 8 weeks expecting a bulldog. His energy levels and size were unexpected and wont be happy in my tiny apartment and busy work schedule. He is extremely food motivated still and very responsive to training. He knows the sit and wait command and is already house broken. He still pulls a bit on the leash and hasnt been socialized much yet so he gets very reactive in public. Overall Franklin is an amazing dog and will thrive somewhere with others dogs to play with and a big yard.
