Story
Meet Frank: A Loyal, Snuggly Frenchie. Frank is a 7.5-year-old French Bulldog we’ve raised from a puppy. He’s a world-class snuggler who loves burrowing under blankets and giving licks. Due to a recent stressful incident involving a snap at our toddler, Frank needs an adult-only home or one with kids 10 and up. The bite did not break the skin, but he requires a more predictable environment. Personality: Frank is active, vocal, and food-motivated. He’ll alert you to the door and even bark at dogs on TV! He’s healthy, but has allergies (no beef/chicken); he thrives on a raw diet and quarterly Cytopoint shots. The Challenges: He is dog/cat aggressive and must be the only pet. He is a stubborn walker who pulls and chases squirrels. He also has obsessions with refracted light and water hoses that need careful management for his mental health. Frank is a soul dog who needs an experienced Frenchie owner to provide structure and love. In the right home, he is the ultimate companion.

Story
Ginny is a sweet, spirited girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She has been diagnosed with IVDD, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying life to the fullest. Though she can be slow to trust at first, once she feels comfortable, she becomes an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. Ginny enjoys her water therapy and regular massages, which help keep her happy and comfortable. Because of her IVDD, she is considered a special needs dog and will require ongoing therapy and medical care. She’s looking for a patient, loving adopter who understands her needs and will continue to give her the care—and the cuddles—she deserves. If you are interested in Ginny please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/FWAAA/fwaaa-adoption-application

Story
Meet Pugsley Hey There, I'm Pugsley. I'm just a guy looking for that special love connection.  Are you my perfect match? At 4 years old, I am a fawn-colored, 24-pound French Bulldog/Chihuahua mix. My foster says I am an excellent companion dog. I am crate-trained and housetrained. I walk well on a leash, but I forget my manners if I see another dog on the walk and lunge when I see one. When I arrived at the rescue, I had some injuries possibly caused by rough encounters with other dogs or wildlife. Because of this, I can sometimes be aggressive when I see other dogs. Although I have had some tough times, I can be a great companion dog. My foster says, "He is always by my side when I'm home. He sleeps on the bed with me without trouble at all." I'm ready to live my best life. It would be best if there were no children under 10 in the home, and I would be best as an only dog. Walking with me can be challenging if we encounter another dog, so a house with a backyard is ideal. I would not be a good fit for a first-time dog owner. Still, I could thrive with an experienced handler who can help me develop my behavior, manners, and reactions with other dogs as I learn to feel safe and secure. When you get to know me, and I warm up to you, I can be a wonderful dog. I would love to show you that. If you are that special person, willing to give me a chance at my forever home, I can return that with loyalty and love. Let's meet and see if we can make the best team and live our best lives together. Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Pugsley the home he deserves! Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $125 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. APPLY HERE: www.richardsonhumanesociety.org ##1553556##

Story
Hi, I’m Moto — a golden Frenchie with a heart that shines just as bright as my coat. I’m 2½ years old, weigh 34 pounds, and I’m all about love, play, and snuggles. I absolutely adore my people and thrive on attention and affection. I’m playful, cuddly, and happiest when I’m the center of your world. Whether it’s chasing a ball, going for a walk, or curling up on the couch, I’m always ready to share life’s simple joys with you. I’m house trained, doggie-door savvy, and leash trained, so I’m a pro at keeping up with family routines. I’m gentle and sweet, but I’ll do best in a home with older, considerate kids who understand my need for calm and respect. I also need to be the only dog in the home — I like having my humans all to myself. That said, I’m working with a trainer to learn how to be around other doggies, and I’m making progress. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love, keep you smiling with playful energy, and snuggle by your side every day, I’m your guy. My adoption fee is $850. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted. Please consider becoming a foster home for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. You can fill out a foster application at Foster Application | Boston Terrier Rescue Of North Texas. This will allow you to possibly become a foster home for one of our little Boston Terriers in need. Thank you for considering the possibility of fostering for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas!   Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts!  December 21, 2025, 5:26 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Capone, the sweetest, happiest 4-year-old boy you’ll ever meet! I love pets so much that I go into a total state of bliss—I’ll never want you to stop! I get along with all dogs and will happily play with anyone who’s up for it, but if they’re not, I’ll just share my toy instead. That’s just the kind of easygoing guy I am! I’m crate trained, leash trained, and super cuddly—a true velcro baby. Because of a back injury, I use wheels to get around, and I wear diapers, but don’t worry, I don’t mind at all! I just need a few diaper changes a day and some time without one to prevent rashes. My dream home has plenty of space for me to zoom around in my wheels and a family who will take me on walks and to the park. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving pup, I’m your guy!  Because of these  special   needs , BTRNT knows Capone's adopter must be someone committed to giving him the care he deserves. To help him find that perfect match, his adoption fee will be waived-instead, we'll ask for a donation.  Thank you for supporting our rescue efforts! Note: NO STAIRS, NO POOLS.  We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted. Story
Five-year-old Tic Tac is a charming, fawn winky pug with a heart as big as his bark! While he can be a little cautious at first, once he warms up, this Velcro pug loves nothing more than cuddling up next to his favorite person and showering them with kisses. Tic Tac enjoys toys, puzzle games, and snuffle mats—and occasionally shows off his silly side by proudly parading around with socks or shoes he’s “borrowed.” He is about 90% house-trained, crate-trained (though he’s not a fan of it), and walks well on a leash—just be sure his harness is snug because he’s been known to wiggle out when something’s caught his interest! Tic Tac gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, but he’d prefer a home with a canine buddy and patient humans who understand he sees the world a little differently due to limited vision. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion with a goofy streak, Tic Tac is your guy! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. To learn more or apply, visit www.dfwpugs.com.

Story
Seven-year-old Peggy is a sweet, fawn beauty with a happy-go-lucky attitude and a heart full of love. This laid-back lady adores being around other dogs and is happiest when surrounded by furry friends and her people. She is the definition of “go-with-the-flow” — gentle, easygoing, and always ready for a good cuddle or a leisurely stroll. Peggy is house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a dog door like a pro. She’s polite at mealtime and not food aggressive, though she’ll happily supervise if someone else is getting a treat. She enjoys toys most when another pup shows interest — she’s a bit of a playful copycat! Peggy also gets along wonderfully with children, especially her foster’s young niece. She takes tacrolimus eye drops twice a day and moisture drops as needed, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. If you’re looking for a calm, joyful companion to brighten your home, Peggy’s your girl! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
One-year-old Ottis is a lively, fawn boy with boundless energy and even bigger heart. Tall, lean, and always on the move, he’s a playful whirlwind who loves fetch, toys of every kind, and any creature willing to play—dogs, cats, humans… everyone is invited. In the evenings, Ottis flips the switch from athlete to cuddlebug and will happily shower you with kisses (he’s very generous with them!). Ottis is mostly house-trained and finds a consistent routine and belly bands helpful during training. He’s crate-trained and does great although he prefers sleeping in bed with his people. He walks well on leash, eats enthusiastically, and enjoys mealtime best when fed separately. Ottis can play a little rough due to his youthful enthusiasm, but he responds well to gentle reminders. Ottis would thrive in an active home with teens or older kids and a playful companion—or humans ready to keep up with his fun-loving spirit. If you’re looking for a sweet, high-energy adventurer who plays hard and loves harder, Ottis is ready to explore life with you! ****** All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Puppies younger than 6 months are not eligible for out-of-state adoption.
