Story
Sweet precious Titan 25 lbs of sweetness, we really do not know the breeds... Hence, we are estimating as best as we can. Perhaps 1-1.5 years of age. He had been abused, so naturally he is shy but very sweet. Sadly, so many great dogs are in TX :( and so many are pts or die homeless alone. We aren't 100% certain but maybe he is POTTY TRAINED. we do not know yet about cats, dogs and people yes good with. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted dog. this is what the shelter volunteers say about he is very sweet, just shy after all he has been through 💙 This is the link to apply to adopt. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!

Story
Album Review: “The Ballad of Leroy Brown” – A Soulful Smash Hit From the moment the needle drops, The Ballad of Leroy Brown wraps you in warm, fuzzy vibes and toe-tapping charm. Leroy, the irresistible Frenchie behind the music, has dropped an instant classic full of heart, snorts, and a whole lotta love. The opening track, Snuggle Session No. 1, sets the tone with a mellow groove. Leroy is an old soul with puppy charm, crooning his way into your lap with soft eyes and even softer snores. His vocals? A delightful combo of piglet grunts and sleepy sighs, layered over a baseline of snoozy snorts. And let’s not forget his signature sound: the rare art of sleeping upright, mid-verse. Pure talent. Mid-album, we hit the high-energy bop Squeaky Toy Serenade, where Leroy rolls, wiggles, and makes you laugh out loud. The playful riffs are balanced with smooth ballads like Sunbath in C Major and Backyard Lounge, showcasing his simple, homebody heart. He’s not chasing clout or the spotlight—he’s chasing belly rubs and a cozy nap spot. And he does it all with style. This album features strong duets with canine backup singers. While Leroy thrives solo, he harmonizes well with chill dog friends, especially those who don’t mind keeping it low key. And if you’re a fan of long walks and car ride jingles, Leroy on the Move is sure to be on repeat. Behind the scenes, Leroy’s team notes that his ideal producer (aka adopter!) is someone with a flexible schedule, doesn’t mind a little gas during studio time, and who can appreciate his soulful soundscapes at home. He’s a people person through and through, with a fan base that includes kids, adults, and anyone lucky enough to share a couch with him. So cue the spotlight, press play, and get ready to fall in love. Leroy’s ready for his next big hit: a forever home. Leroy Brown is estimated to have been born in August 2024 and weighs 20 lbs. He is a Frenchie with Myasthenia Gravis that we are working to get under control. Prospective adopters should be prepared to monitor and care for this condition. Leroy Brown is currently available for FOSTER TO ADOPT only. If you are interested in our foster-to-adopt program for Leroy Brown, please fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application or send an email to adopt@forgottendogsrescue.com. Please note that Leroy Brown is not eligible for immediate adoption and we will require your participation as a foster until Leroy Brown is ready to be adopted in full. When ready to be adopted, Leroy Brown’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to the adoption being finalized. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider applications from families with children under 5 years old.  ##2416386##

Story
Wednesday (aka Whinny) Purrs when you pet her or rub her belly. If you have been gone forever (10 minutes) she runs to you with abandon and hits a right slide just short of your feet, so she is in position for the Belly Rub, on contact. Shes unable to get on the furniture, and it is best to keep her off the couch and bed as a fall or even a jump could hurt her. She will sleep nicely in her own bed next to yours. She is happiest when you are touching her and she will snort. purr and snore to beat the band. She loves her person. Even though she has No separation anxieties and only barks when appropriate, she would rather look at her Forever Mom all the time. She is a great road dog. Loves to go on drives and walks at the beach or in the woods. Probably not the pup to help train for a marathon. She is not the dog that will insist on having your attention. If you pay her no mind, she will play alone. But she does like to cuddle on the floor. If you sit with her near you and say, "Hug Hug" and pat your chest she will jump in your lap and give you the belly with her head on you heart. She is afraid of the vacuum and mens shoes/feet. Men or women can pet her, and rub her belly and give treats, but she will react to men feet once they walk by her and she has most of her teeth. . Its very strange, but a real fear for her. She is fine with being in her kennel when there are (boy) visitors. I try not to think about what someone did you her in her young life. Wednesday would thrive in an all-girl home. . She is excellent at chasing away the deadly Bunny Rabbits, squirrels, but loves to watch the bees and butterflies. She is such and innocent gentle girl with sooo much love to give. She gets along with any dog who will let her sniff their butts. She absolutely loves her human. I feel quite safe walking her. She can sit, stay, get in the house, stay in the house, thats not your food. Once you meet her you will fall in love.

Story
I was left abandoned at the shelter from a very questionable background. Unable to hold in any food my timeline was cut short at the shelter. Thank goodness Church of Pug said yes to giving me a chance. My foster mom took me to this dog doctor who did not think I had much time left. No one could explain what was happening with me. Luckily my foster mom and the dogtor did not give up on trying to find out what was causing me to be so sick. All I knew ... I was SO HUNGRY, but no matter how much I ate I could not gain weight, and my body was breaking down. Luckily, a special test gave everyone the answer ... I have something called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) which I guess means my pancreas does not work so well UNLESS I have these awesome enzymes that help me absorb nutrients AND I am FINALLY feeling full and getting healthy and strong. Even with all of these things I can proudly say I am completely potty trained. No accidents for me. I like my space ... and I gravitate to the cat vs. the other dogs in the house. I sleep through the night and when I want to be pet or cuddle, I put up my paw and gently grab your hand or arm. I am still unsure about people ... I don't like to be picked up ... so when I want on the couch I growl when I go from floor to next to you ... but then I stop. If I am not sure what you are doing or your intentions, I will growl. It's my way to say I'm uncomfortable but I would never hurt anyone, I swear. I am really trying to behave like a dog who is loved, vs a dog who was hurt. I believe I can learn to trust again I just hope my forever home has the patience to help me get to that happy place. For my comfort a home with kids and wild hyper pups would not suit me. I prefer the calmer of the pack and the kitty cat. I know I am ready to find my forever home now that I'm all healthy and strong. Is that potentially you?

Story
Hi, Im Valentino!Im a super sweet, friendly Frenchie who was rescued by Church Of Pug just in the nick of time. I came into the shelter very sick with kidney failure, but after a week in the hospital and a whole lot of care, Im bouncing back and feeling so much better. The doctors arent totally sure what caused it (dehydration, poisoning, mystery illness), but they do know Im a fighter. Right now Im on a daily supplement and special prescription food. Will it be forever? Maybe. Will I continue to improve and surprise everyone? Also maybe. Either way, Im doing great and heading to the vet regularly for bloodwork to make sure my kidneys stay on track. Im currently living the foster life and absolutely nailing it. Im friends with the resident pug, my foster says Im awesome (their words, not mine), and Im sweet, friendly, and just happy to be safe and loved. Im hoping to find my forever home soon. Im incredibly thankful to be alive and grateful to everyone who helped save me. Now accepting applications for snuggles, snacks, and lifelong devotion.

Story
Once abandoned and left behind at just 6 months old, Pixies story almost ended before it began. When she arrived at the shelter, x-rays revealed her stomach had a couple of rocks like actual rocks. No one knows why, but clearly this little survivor was trying to make the best of a really rough situation. Thankfully, Church of Pug said YES, and Pixie hasnt looked back since. Shes now thriving in foster care sleeping peacefully through the night in her crate, getting the hang of potty training (almost there!), and spreading quiet sweetness wherever she goes. She has a little puppy energy, but shes no wild child more of a gentle goofball with an occasional zoomie. Pixie gets along great with other dogs and is currently being checked for a possible hearing impairment though if shes ignoring you, she may just be practicing selective listening like every clever dog before her. Her past may have been rocky (literally), but her future is all soft beds, belly rubs, and people who know she deserves the world.
