Aubrey needs a very special adopter. She had a horrible start to life. This information will be revealed to approved applicants interested in her. Given that, she needs someone who will not baby her and keep her in check (in a non punishment way) when/if she's naughty. We have very specific requirements for her new home: No children under teens. Another dog in the home is a big maybe and depends on the dogs during a meet. Someone needs to be home at least part of the day. We've been working with her for months now and will continue to do so. Ideally, she would be in a bulldog experienced home as a solo pet with a single person but couples could be fine (she can be protective of her person if with them and someone comes along to give her loving, otherwise, she's fine with multiple people in the home). A securely fenced yard is a must, no exceptions. Aubrey is a sweet, young, fearless, active, bulldog girl. She feeds off a lot of excitement around her, so a calm home is ideal for her. Louie is a fit, healthy, and incredibly affectionate boy who has never met a stranger. He loves people and is always eager for pets and scratches. He completed a 6-week board-and-train program and knows general commands, and he's very food motivated, so he's responsive to training. A few things his next family should know: He has some anxiety when left alone and could use continued coaching around that. He did well with other dogs in the past, but after a recent move and a big change in his home situation, he's been showing some aggression toward other dogs. This seems situational/stress-related rather than his baseline temperament, and he'd likely benefit from an experienced owner or some refresher training around dog socialization. Louie would do best with someone patient, willing to keep up with training, and ideally with experience helping a dog work through anxiety or reactivity. He's a sweet, willing-to-please boy who just needs guidance. Does well with my 2yr grand daughter.

Meet Pygmy! Hi! My name is Pygmy, and I am approximately 18 months old and weigh just 22 pounds. If you’re looking for a pup on the smaller side I might be your guy! My people think I may be a French Bulldog mix, but that’s just their best guess. Whatever I am, I’m pretty darn cute! My story started at a local concrete plant, where some kind workers noticed me hanging around. They were really worried I might get hit by one of the big trucks and reached out to rescue for help. Personally, I didn’t think living at the concrete plant was all that bad—they were feeding me tacos! In hindsight, though, I suppose it wasn’t exactly the safest place for a little guy like me. Now that I’m in a foster home, everyone is getting to see what a sweet boy I really am. I am house trained and crate trained, and I’m perfectly capable of staying home alone when necessary. No separation anxiety for this guy! I can be a bit of a chewer if I don’t get enough daily stimulation, so a good supply of bones, chew toys, and other things to keep me busy will make me very happy. I am great with other dogs and would happily share my new home with fur brothers or sisters. I have never been around cats but with proper introductions I could probably coexist. I currently feel more comfortable with women than men. I’m being fostered in an all-woman household, so I haven’t had much opportunity to build my confidence around men. With patience, positive experiences, and a little time, this is something my people believe I can continue working on. Did I mention that I’m a major cuddler? I love being close to my people and am a huge fan of blankets, comfy dog beds, and anything cozy. If there’s a soft spot available, chances are I’ll find it! I have never been around children so a home with older respectful children would be best. I also LOVE toys. Balls are an absolute favorite, but I’m really not too picky when it comes to having fun. I’ve been learning to walk nicely on a leash and love getting out and about. At only 22 pounds, I’m a great size for tagging along on adventures—and then curling up beside you when the day is done. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, cuddly little guy who traded life at a concrete plant (and tacos!) for the chance at a forever family, Pygmy might be your perfect match.
