He is a scream...so happy, so much fun. He gets along with all the dogs. He does pester my cats sometimes...not wanting to kill...but they're so much fun to chase. My cats are not afraid of dogs and on occasion I have found Goliad literally playing with the cat and the cat was having fun. GOLIAD is housetrained and loves to go outside. He's not a woose. He barks some but not yappy. He loves toys especially if they squeak. He doesn't know how to play tug-of-war, though. He can learn, though. This is a great little dog. [Where did he get his name? Goliad (Go-le-ad) is a famous city south of San Antonio in Texas where an important battle was fought during the siege on the Alamo.] This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation. He was found with a person experiencing homelessness and was removed from that situation due to suspected abuse. During his veterinary exam, he was found to have small scars and what appeared to be old cigarette burns, which likely explains his fear—particularly of men. Despite everything he has been through, Gabbito has never shown any aggression. He is incredibly resilient and simply needs a loving, patient home where he can feel safe and continue to build trust. Gabbito is currently waiting in Mexico for a committed family to say “yes” to him.
