Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**In order to get our large-breed dogs adopted, we asked for adoption sponsors to cover the adoption fees for a few of our big dogs, and Keary's fee is 100% sponsored by a Cause for SB Paws donor! Applicants are still subject to an interview, meet and greet, and it of course must be the right fit. But the adoption fee is covered!** Beautiful Keary has been in rescue for over a year!! She's one of our top priority dogs right now because she deserves a home of her own, and time is running out of time in her boarder/foster home! She acts like a big puppy who LOVES to play. She is high energy and extremely smart. She was a stray in the San Bernardino mountains for several weeks, and once Mountains Humane Society was able to trap her, she had to go into boarding due to no foster homes. They reached out to rescues, and because one of our fosters stepped up, we were able to take Keary into Cause for SB Paws! It took her about a week in her foster home to fully trust, but now she loves everybody. Keary likes to play hard and while she knows to be gentle around certain dogs, she would do best with another large, high-energy fur-sibling. She has a Shepherd working dog temperament, so she needs lots of mental and physical stimulation. She loves to play fetch, do puzzle games, chew antlers, and thrives in her training sessions. Oh and LOVES water! See her video. :) She's very loving and seeks pets and kisses, but doesn't often snuggle, because she's always on the go! Keary is looking for a large-breed loving adopter. An active home a must. Keary does well with the pre-teens in her foster home, but still jumps up a lot, so she could knock over small children. If you're the fun-loving active family Keary needs, we'd love to meet you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi my name is Lana and I am a young shepsky mix. I am a total lovebug who would do best in a home with someone who can make sure I get daily exercise. I am a bit of an escape artist so I will need a home with a secure yard that has high fences. Nothing is known about my background unfortunately. I found myself on the euthanasia list at the shelter due to overcrowding. My foster parent’s best guess is that my owners didn’t come for me because I kept getting out of their yard. I am learning crate training and potty training and doing excellent so far. I am also learning basic commands and leash etiquette but will need someone willing to continue with training. I have shown some reactivity towards other dogs while on leash but my foster parents are working on building my confidence in new places. I have been tested with cats and did well but I do not live with them full time so a trial in a home with cats would be recommended before finalizing my adoption. I have done well with the foster dogs in my foster home so I will just need a furever parent who understands how to do proper introductions to new pups. Story
Molly is a very affectionate and sweet girl. She loves being around her human. She's very active and loves walks and runs. She could be better trained when it comes to being on leash as she pulls when walking. She sits, shakes, and lays down. She knows "bedtime" and sleeps through the night. She is protective and alert in a helpful way. She is open to meeting new people and can get along well with other dogs. She is good in the car and not too fussy when it comes to food or habits.

Story
Stella's family sadly needed to rehome her back in October 2022 and she was running out of time. Bruce G. Krider with The Puppy Coalition kindly came and saved her and has been looking for a long term foster or a forever home. Stella has been through so much since October. She lost the only family she knew, she’s been to a couple short term fosters just to keep her safe and now she just had surgery for bloat and is recovering. Her current foster dad unfortunately cannot foster her past March 18 so she needs something soon. Stella is almost 9 years old, weighs 82 lbs., is spayed and house trained. She needs to be the ONLY animal in the house. Stella is a very sweet girl and loves people. She is great on a leash and loves her walks but also enjoys hanging out on the couch. She also knows basic commands and even speak. If you are experienced with her breed and are interested in fostering or adopting this beautiful girl please contact Bruce at bruce@thepuppycoalition.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Approximately 4-5 year old Esme is part of a pack of dogs that lived in the desert for several years after their owner died. A good samaritan visited the pack several times a week to make sure they had food, water, and shelter. Esme was rescued with a few others in September 2020 but spent almost a year in boarding since there were no open fosters. Finally, in the summer of 2021 Esme was able to get into a foster home.Over the last few months, Esme has been learning what it's like to truly be a dog. She loves napping and chewing a good bone. Esme hasn't been around kids before, but she is very relaxed and hasn't ever shown any type of aggression. She is very shy with humans and apprehensive of new people. On the other hand, she completely comes out of her shell with other dogs. She loves hopping around and playing with the other pups in her foster home. She is currently living in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats. She hasn't had a problem with any of the other pets.Esme will definitely need a special home, with a family that will be patient with her while she continues to grow and learns how to trust humans. She will likely never be super social with humans, so a fairly mellow home with at least 1 other dog is ideal. Esme does enjoy walks and walks nicely on a leash. She is crate trained, but not house trained. If you can be that patient and loving home for this special girl, please apply to adopt Esme today.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 2:39 pm
