Story
Sadie is a loyal ~2yo spayed 55 pound active small German Shepherd. She loves lots of affection, long walks and playing with her toys. She is a moderate energy dog, playful and active but also settles down nicely indoors by your feet. She is housetrained and sleeps in a crate.  She will need an active home that will keep her mentally and physically busy. She will chase cats that run. She needs proper intro to new dogs.   She is undersocialized and also needs continued training and structure. She needs continued socializing with other dogs and people (reactive in public). She would do best in a home with German Shepherd experience, as she can be insecure and also defensive/protective. She would do best with a single woman, or will need experienced handlers in a multi ADULT home (NO CHILDREN) who will be willing to commit to working on her socialization. NO APARTMENTS! Please contact Diana at (510) 333-4420 or theperfectdogrescue@gmail.com or fill out the adoption application:  http://www.theperfectdog.org/TPDadoptapp.doc November 1, 2024, 3:09 pm

Story
Duchess is a sweet, affectionate, silly 6 year old girl who is always thrilled to see you when you get home, yet doesn’t make a fuss when you leave. She gets super excited to go on walks, but she also loves lounging around the house. She gets along with other dogs as long as they are “nice”, as she can get intimated by rowdy dogs. She is very treat motivated and enjoys getting trained! She knows how to “sit” and she is currently working on her loose leash walking skills. She was rescued from a San Jose shelter, where she was dropped off after being found tied to a fence. She may have had a difficult life before her rescue but Duchess is, at heart, a very affectionate dog. However, she is also an anxious dog and it takes time before she is comfortable with new people. While she is head over heels in love with her foster mom, she is, for unknown reasons, still very fearful of other members of the household even after several months of living with them. We are hoping that Duchess will find a forever family who is patient and willing to invest the time into gaining her trust and ultimately reaping the benefits of her undying love! Please familiarize yourself with our Adoption Process: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-process/ If interested to schedule an Appointment to meet, please fill out Adoption application: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-application-dogs/ We are a small, all Volunteer Foster Based Rescue Group, we do not have a Shelter Location. Story
Dixie is a sweet girl that wags with her body whenever she sees you. Her bright eyes look up at you as if you are the best thing in the whole wide world. When she fist meets you she will be kind of shy, but, if given the opportunity, she will warm up to you quickly and give you kisses if you let her. She is roughly a year old and 60 pounds. She is a German Shepard (49%), Boxer (35%) and Australian Cattle Dog (16%) mix that LOVES to play fetch with her ball. Dixie likes to lie in the sun and have her ears pet while she looks at you adoringly. Dixie is very good with other dogs and loves children. She has not been tested with cats. Dixie prefers to walk to her destinations as the car can make her sick. In an ideal home, her human would go on long walks or runs with her or be in the backyard playing fetch. Dixie is the sibling of Max and was saved from a high kill shelter. She would be a good only dog, can be adopted with her brother or with proper introductions could be a companion for a current dog. She is spayed and up to date on all of her shots. She has been in foster care for 3 months. She is ready for her furever home and her person she can adore. Adopt her today and experience the love she has to give! 🐾❤️ Please familiarize yourself with our Adoption Process: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-process/ If interested to schedule an Appointment to meet, please fill out Adoption application: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-application-dogs/ We are a small, all Volunteer Foster Based Rescue Group, we do not have a Shelter Location. Breed: German Shepherd Mix Age: 3 years old &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 78 lbs Looking for a loyal, goofy, and love-filled companion? Meet Coco, a sweet and gentle soul who’s full of curiosity and affection. With his warm heart and playful energy, Coco brings sunshine into every room he enters. Coco is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having fur-siblings to romp around with. Though he isn’t bonded to his current foster brothers, he thrives in a home with fellow four-legged friends and would be overjoyed to have a playmate or two. He’s smart, eager to please, and has recently completed clicker training with Stacy Braslau-Schneck of Stacy’s Wag’nTrain – helping him focus even in distracting or stressful situations. Coco already knows several commands and enjoys interactive play that challenges both his body and brain. When he gets a little too excited, this clever boy knows just what to do – he tucks himself under the kitchen table for a self-imposed time-out to recharge. Coco is completely house-trained, loves car rides, and is working on walking politely on a leash (he just can’t help wanting to greet everyone he sees!). Despite his size and age, he doesn’t need long hikes to burn energy – two short walks a day and playtime with pup pals are plenty for this balanced boy. If you’re looking for a dog who sees the best in everyone, has a heart full of love, and a personality that keeps you smiling, Coco might just be your perfect match. Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Coco is waiting to meet you! Story
Meet Snickerdoodle! A 5 m/o Shepherd x Lab mix with a silky-soft (and distinctive!) coat, warm brown eyes, and the sweetest personality. This little LUVbug is curious, playful, and full of heart. She’s learning the ropes of home life, from crate time to potty breaks, and does it all with her signature happy tail wag. Snickerdoodle LUVs puzzle and chew toys, following her foster human around, and curling up close once the adventures wind down. She's smart, learns quickly, and now knows commands for "sit", "go to crate", and "drop it"! She's working on "come" and "leave it". Snickerdoodle would do best with a family who’ll guide her with patience and positivity, give her room to grow, and include her in all the fun! In return, she’ll shower you with loyalty, laughter, and LUV every single day. Ready to fall in LUV? Fill out an application to meet Snickerdoodle today and have a sweet treat all your own! All Mutt Luv Rescue pups receive a full health checkup, heartworm and parasite testing, are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption.
