Story
The Arista group came to the Rescue as an unplanned litter, mom is a black German Shepherd and dad is unknown (looks like could be Border Collie).  We came to the Rescue at about 9 weeks old, a playful, scared and happy group.  We became sick just after arrival but are now bouncing off the walls ready for our own families.  We are 5 girls and 2 boys, four of the sisters and a brother have been adopted.  We are almost one year old now,  spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.  We all like to jump to get attention from people so we prefer to be in a home with older kids that know we are just playing and looking for attention.  We don't want to knock any little kids down with our rough housing.  We need a secure yard with a high fence since we like to jump and climb.  If you would like a sweet and loving housemate please contact the rescue.  Please fill out an application on www.fureverdogdenver.com.  If you have any questions or to meet us, please call or text 720 588-6809. ##1829851##

Story
This is Indy. He is a 3yo recently neutered purebred German Shepherd. He has had 60 days of professional training. Sit, down, stay, and great recall. He was raised around horses, goats, barn cats, and other dogs. He will chase cats if they run but once he catches just sniffs and walks away. Also, raised with small children. He is great with other dogs small and large with proper introduction. He does have a sensitive stomach so I keep him on purina pro plan salmon for sensitive stomachs and does great on it. I am in no hurry to rehome so will be picky and would like to do a home visit.

Story
Hiro is a 45 lbs, 7 year old, German Shepherd mix that lost his home (along with his two canine siblings) when his family moved and didn’t take them. Since coming to CO, Hiro joined a fun foster family with other dogs and kiddos. He’s in heaven! Hiro is adjusting well, but we think he would appreciate a more mature home. He’s active and adventurous and will do well with an active home and a fenced in yard. He’s house and crate trained. Hiro enjoys playing with his canine foster siblings and snuggling on the couch with his foster moms. You can also find him sprawling across the bed in his best “paint me like a french girl” pose. Hiro is being fostered in Parker, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/hiro/. Story
Meet Mulan, a Disney princess right here in Colorado! This gorgeous, 2 year old, Shepherd mix weighs in at a sleek 68 lbs. Mulan joins us from a high intake shelter in New Mexico that recently experienced even higher intake numbers due to the fires and flooding in the area, making it imperative to move dogs out! She was a shelter favorite with her friends there and has proven to be a favorite here in the mile high, too! Mulan is dog friendly and seems to be fine with dogs of all sizes. She’s a super smart girl, crate trained, and uses the dog door to potty outside like a good pup. Mulan will appreciate a home with a doggie friend or a human that’s around often to spend time with her – she likes attention in true Disney princess fashion. If you melt looking into her eyes like we did, don’t hesitate to get your application in ASAP! Mulan is being fostered in Bennett, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/mulan/. Story
Oh, Farrah. We love you. This girl is one of those quintessential black dogs that is routinely overlooked in shelter and rescue systems. She was saved from a euthanasia list at a high kill shelter in Houston after she sat there unnoticed for an entire month. But you see, she’s a diamond in the rough. She was easy to care for there, didn’t have a single negative staff note, and was friendly with people and other dogs. We couldn’t let this girl die and knowing that her forever family has to be out there somewhere. We think Farrah is a lab/shepherd type mix that is about 55 pounds and about 2 years old. She is healthy with no ongoing medical issues. She’s crate trained and seems housetrained in her foster home. She does well with other dogs and enjoys a good play session once she feels safe with them, but what she really loves most is people! She soaks up any positive attention like a sponge, is smart as a whip, and routinely makes excellent eye contact and checks in with her human. This dog could be off leash trained and learn to do just about anything. She’s very smart and eager to please. She also is easy to have around. She matches her energy to those around her when she plays. Farrah is very human focused and she wants to do what you are doing-whether that’s chilling on the couch or being active outside the home. Please give this girl a chance. She’s ready to love her forever human(s). Farrah is being fostered in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/farrah/. Finnick, affectionately referred to as Finn by his foster family, is the fearless leader of the litter. He is the first to try to get another dog to engage in play and he’s just certain they don’t really mean it when they tell him no. He’s a playful, active boy that’s approx 10-12 weeks old. He’s ready for a forever home with a fenced in yard and plenty of playtime!
