Nathaniel was born Sept 2021 and is a happy and playful Shepherd Mix. He is currently working on house-training and crate-training and doing well! He also recently attended a training class to work on leash skills and building his confidence. He will need a slower introduction to other dogs but is expected to do fine as long as he is comfortable and feels safe. Nathaniel loves to play with his people and do zoomies! He has a great medium energy level and is gentle when taking treats/food. Nathaniel prefers a home with older kids.June 5, 2023, 11:20 pm

Story
Aubrey is a loving and affectionate Anatolian/German Shephard Mix. She&#39s 70lbs, and 2yrs old. This intelligent girl knows multiple commands (sit, down, stay, wait, place, come), and is house trained and crate trained. She has stayed in her crate for up to 7hr during the day and has done well. Aubrey gets along well with other dogs- she will play for short periods then wants to hang on her own. She has wonderful leash manners, and is easy to take on walks. She is a high energy girl, so staying busy doing doggy puzzles, playing games, or working on her training is an important part of her day to day life! Aubrey would do well in a multi dog home with small introductions. Aubrey loves to go for car rides, and enjoys having a job! She would do well in a family that gives her direction, daily structure, and continued training. She&#39s met older kids and has done well, probably no small kids due to her size. Aubrey does have a high prey drive and loves to chase squirrels, so no kitties for this girl. Barkville rescued Aubrey in January 2022 when she was emaciated and pregnant with 13 pups. Her pups were all adopted, now it&#39s this girls turn to find her forever family! Her current foster Mom is a dog trainer and will provide her adopters with guidance on Aubrey&#39s training, and discounts on future training for this special girl. As part of the adoption process for Aubrey, an adopter will be expected to have a two hour training with her foster mom. Aubrey is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about Aubrey, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.June 5, 2023, 11:20 pm

Story
Dooley and his sister Dollie are German Shepard puppy siblings we busted out of a crowded shelter in June. They can be adopted together or separately! At 12 weeks old, Dooley had his front right leg broken in several places. His pain was immense. We got him in to see our team of emergency vets who performed emergency amputation surgery. He was put on pain medication and anti-inflammatory meds right away. He is currently in an awesome foster home with lots of other dogs and is getting lots of T.L.C.! Dooley is awesome with other dogs and people! He is very much of a puppy, excited to learn, love, and play! Dooley minds really well and knows basic commands! He is a bit more of a dufus energetic and runs like a mo-mo as a tripod! He swims beautifully without a life jacket and loves water!

Buddy is crate trained and housebroken, making him an easy addition to any home. Buddy enjoys being active and exploring his surroundings. He loves to go for walks and runs, and he would be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors. Story
“...if you love life, life will love you back."  Arthur Rubinstein   Meet Haya. Haya translates to life in Hebrew. So when you adopt Haya, you are giving her a safe and happy life and she provides you with lots of love.    Haya is a 12-year-old senior, 60-pound (needs to gain weight) female, German Shepherd Dog. And while Haya may not have as much time left as a younger dog, she is ready to live her life and love you to the fullest.    Ever thought of owning a German Shepherd? Haya is already house trained, crate trained, and leash trained with slight pulling. Her cue when she wants to go outside is to stand at the back door, and she understands when her foster mom says "crate." She never meets a stranger, is sweet and gentle with her foster mom's young children (ages 1 to 5), and loves other dogs! And while she barks at cats, she doesn't chase or growl.   Haya came to us with a case of heartworms, but she will begin her treatment as soon as she is at a healthier weight.    Complete an adoption application for this sweet girl so you can give her the life and love she deserves.         For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
This stunningly handsome boy, Leroy LaCroix, was pulled from animal control the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He is thought to be about 6 years old and weighs about 85 pounds.   Leroy came into foster care with heart worms for which he has recently completed treatment. He has made great strides while in foster care with learning to trust and remembering what it's like to be a carefree, playful pup. He is still cautious of strangers, but seems to warm quickly. It takes some time to gain his trust, but once he has learned he can trust, he so loves to be petted and wants to be where the people are; he craves attention and affection and is learning to relax for belly rubs. He is not a huggable cuddle bug, but he does lean against his foster mom as his way of expressing his trust and affection. Leroy will need a home where the person or people are understanding and go slow with him, listen to what he is trying to communicate, and adjust accordingly until he is comfortable and knows he can trust them. Previous experience with and understanding of the German Shepherd breed would be very helpful. Any training should be based on positive reinforcement; he is very food and treat motivated, so he is easy to train.   Leroy is very smart and is fine tuning his manners. He walks well on leash, but does still pull a bit when really excited and wanting to investigate something. Cats and small animals are not for Leroy as he likes to chase.  A fenced yard with no less than a 6 foot privacy fence for bird and squirrel chasing, perimeter patrolling, or just playing with a ball would be ideal. It is unknown at this time as to whether he likes the company of other dogs or would prefer to be an only fur baby as his contact with other dogs has been limited during his heart worm treatment and post-treatment recovery.   He is playful and loves to play with the balls on ropes in the backyard. No small or young children (under 10-12); he likes to jump up on people when playing or excited, something he is working on correcting.  In foster care, he has learned to be a happy, unthreatened dog. With some patience and work at trust building in his new home, he will develop into a more secure and even happier fellow than he already is. He is a sweet, gentle giant, but also a big, goofy kid at heart.   If you can be Leroy's next angel, he would really love to have a loving, caring home to call his own.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
HELLO NICE TO MEET YOU!! DO YOU WANNA BE MY BEST FRIEND?! My name is Lily, and I am 90% German Shepherd and 10% Spazmanian Devil. Or maybe I just have puppy energy because I am still just TWO years old. I LOVE YOU! Did you know that?! Actually, if you are a GIRL, I love you, and if you're not, I really WANT to love you - I'm just unsure of the boys. So I'm kinda confused, but once I realize that the boy people are nice, I LIKE EVERYONE! My foster mommy does recommend that my new home has children older than 6. Here is my flawless resume: I am so smart and a quick learner. I  am the best cuddler and want you to be my pillow. I love other dogs and even goats. I love being with my people, but don't whine or get destructive when left alone. I sleep in the kitchen all night quietly and wait patiently for my people to come down in the mornings. And I'm fully housetrained! I love going on walks, playing with my toys, and chewing on bones. I also have this adorable little quirk with my left ear, making it flop halfway down. You LOVE ME already; I KNEW IT! My Fommy says I need to work on something called manners. SHE'S TRYING TO CRUSH MY INNER SPIRIT! I'm just excited to be ALIVE! But she says I need to reign in my puppy energy, so we're doing some fun games, and I'm a great listener. She says I need someone to continue these games and give me a lot of exercise. I need a Girl mommy in the house to help me figure out the Boy people. It might take me a minute to warm up to the Boy people, but if they are patient and give me lots of treats, we will be besties. HURRY UP AND COME MEET ME!  Love, Lily-Bear   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Swanky Lola found herself out on her own at a young age. Thankfully, a kind person took her in and looked all over to see if she had a family. When none was found, this kind person helped her become an Angel pup and is even taking care of her until we find her forever home! Swanky Lola is a young girl, thought to be around a year old and about 60 pounds. She still has lots of puppy energy, so an active family would be best. She already has pretty good leash manners. Speaking of manners, she's been working on her basic manners with a professional trainer. She's done very well and enjoys having a job. She would like to be the only pup in a home. She adores people including older kids. Her playful exuberance is a bit much for young children. Add some shepherd love to your family with Swanky Lola!
