Story
Zuri- German Shepard / Husky male, DOB 5-10-23 (Oct. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Zuri was surrendered to a Dog Trainer because his prior owners did not have the time for him. He's been doing great in the Prison Program that the Trainer coordinates. He's housetrained, crate trained, knows basic obedience commands, knows about grooming and husbandry care. Zuri's inmate trainer says he gets along great with the other dogs in the Prison Program and is an intelligent, typical young German Shepard energy. The opinion being he'd be a wonderful family dog. Zuri gets along well with the other dogs in the Prison Program. We do not know if he lived with children or cats. He has a great personality. He will enjoy an active lifestyle, hiking, running, playing. He is loving and will be a wonderful companion. He is just stunning with those blue eyes! Shay's adoption fee is $450 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption . Story
Bella is a 7-month-old purebred German Shepherd with a bright future ahead of her — and we can’t wait to see where life takes her next. Found wandering as a stray in rural Tennessee alongside her sister Luna, Bella somehow landed on the right side of luck when she came into the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue. Of the two sisters, Bella is the more outgoing and confident. She currently weighs 47 pounds and is already showing what a well-balanced young shepherd she is. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and rides calmly in the car — all impressive qualities for a puppy her age. Bella gets along beautifully with other dogs, large and small, and is respectful around cats. She isn’t wild, pushy, or chaotic; instead, she’s thoughtful, steady, and eager to please. With positive reinforcement, structure, and continued confidence-building, she will blossom into a stunning adult shepherd, estimated to mature around 70–75 pounds.   After weeks of waiting with no owner stepping forward, Bella and Luna were officially released to CCR, and we are committed to finding them excellent, German Shepherd-savvy homes. A securely fenced yard is required, along with adopters who understand the breed and are excited to continue her training and development.Bella is sweet, adaptable, and ready to learn what it means to truly belong. She and her sister Luna are ready to be home for Christmas, and we would love nothing more than to make that wish come true. If you’re interested in adopting Bella, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 14, 2025, 1:48 pm

Story
The rescue story of our perfect German Shepherd boy called Aries as told by his foster mom. He is about 6-7 years and just under 80 pounds: Aries is probably the happiest dog I’ve ever had! He has a lot to celebrate and I think he knows it… I heard that a GSD was at a full local “kill” shelter and made up my mind to rescue him when I heard he had 1 more day. When I went to the shelter to pick him up, his demeanor was to maintain his distance. You could tell he was confused and on his back foot about where he was and why. Then he got a whiff of my farm boots and the great outdoors and his expression changed.Upon arrival at my farm, his personality came alive. I turned him loose in a big grassy field and he ran and sniffed and explored, always coming back to check in with me to make sure I was ok with his enthusiasm!!Since that day he has never looked back. The freedom and carefree abandon he is experiencing is evident in his happy eyes and tail wags. His best friends are two Heelers who he frolics with for hours. His most favorite toy is a big blue ball that he happily plays with when everyone else is resting. Every morning and evening when I feed him he expresses gratitude with wags and a loving lick or two to my face. The best situation for him would be a home with a big yard and lots of room to run and play. He is is a mature and settled, calm dog who has thrived here with me and his new dog friends. He prefers no cat friends!     If you would like to know more please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com      PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 13, 2025, 12:29 am
