Story
🐾Oliver🖤 Oliver, lovingly called “Ollie” or “Drama Queen” by his foster family, is a husky/shepherd mix that is truly one of a kind 🥰 This stunning boy was pulled from the code red list at a rural shelter with his siblings. The shelter believed he had an injury to his back end, which put him at a higher risk than “healthy” pups. One of our medical fosters stepped up to take him in… imagine her surprise when he arrived to her jumping for joy and full of energy! 😆 Our vet team checked him out & performed x-rays and this handsome (dramatic) boy was given a clean bill of health. We aren’t fully sure what caused the limp in the shelter, but we are so happy he is healthy, and he can’t wait to meet his furever family! 🏡 Oliver is intelligent and eager to please. He has barely had any accidents in the house since arriving to his foster home, sleeps through the night in his crate, and eagerly follows the other pups in the home for direction. At only 3 months old, he is showing big potential as an amazing family dog 🐶 His foster mom is his favorite human. He loves to spend his mornings running in the yard with her and the other pups, and playing with the cats before snuggling up on the couch for a nap while she works. He loves anything that squeaks and hard chew toys, but if he doesn’t have a toy he says a shoe will do 😅 Oliver will make a great adventure buddy but will also be content with Netflix marathons. We believe he will be medium-energy as an adult, but he needs a family that understands and is prepared for puppy antics and is ready to help him become the best boy he was born to be 🐾 If Ollie sounds like the one for you, please apply! Story
Meet Opal! She’s a 3-month-old Husky/Shepherd mix that was pulled from a rural shelter with her four siblings. While some of her sisters look more like German Shepherds, Opal definitely favors her Husky side. Opal is truly a precious gem. She’s a bit dainty compared to some of her siblings who are bigger and more outgoing. She was shy at first, but warmed up quickly to her foster mom. She’s very gentle and likes to come up to her human and gently lean against them. If her human is sitting, she always puts her two front paws on them. When standing next to her human, she lifts one of her back legs so she can have her belly rubbed. She’s great with other dogs big and small, but we could see her doing well as an only dog where she’s the center of attention too. She seems very focused on her human. Opal and her siblings aren’t big barkers. They share a foster home with a hound mix that’s also 3 months old, and when she’s barking at them to play, they don’t bark back. Opal and her siblings just recently arrived at their foster home, but they will start working on crate training and potty training soon. Opal’s foster mom has experience with Shepherd/Husky mixes, and she wants Opal and her siblings to go to homes where people understand the importance of daily walks and proper training and mental stimulation. Also, a fenced-in yard is very important because generally these types of dogs love to be outside. Since they are so young, their foster mom won’t send them anywhere where they need to be crated for more than 3-4 hours a day. Opal currently weighs about 17 lbs at 3 months of age and will be a large dog when full grown, possibly 60-70 lbs.” If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Meet Odessa! She’s a 3-month-old German Shepherd mix that was pulled from a rural shelter with her four siblings. Some of her siblings look like they have some Husky in them, so Odessa might as well. But looks-wise, she definitely favors a shepherd. Odessa is the calmest and most independent sibling of her litter. She comes across as a bit shy, but she just likes to do her own thing and seems to be an observer of the world around her. Her siblings are drawn to her calm demeanor and always want to snuggle up to her. Odessa enjoys human attention and likes to be petted, but she’s also content hanging back and letting her two sisters get all the attention first. She would do great in a home with other dogs. She plays very well with and is also respectful of the large dogs in her foster home. But she would also be fine as an only dog. Odessa and her siblings aren’t big barkers. They share a foster home with a hound mix that’s also 3 months old, and when she’s barking at them to play, they don’t bark back. Odessa and her siblings just recently arrived at their foster home, but they will start working on crate training and potty training soon. Also, a fenced-in yard is very important because generally these types of dogs love to be outside. Since they are so young, their foster mom won’t send them anywhere where they need to be crated for more than 3-4 hours a day. Odessa currently weighs about 20 lbs at 3 months of age and will be a large dog when full grown, possibly 65-80 lbs. Wonderful dog, loves people and cuddling. Unfortunately, after the whole family moved to a new state, Simba became more territorial in the household around the two other dogs. Amazingly well trained dog. We spent $2000 getting Simba trained propery. Just needs a home where he is the only dog. OR a farm maybe.

Story
SAMMIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    "Hey there, I'm Sammie! I am a social butterfly who loves every dog I meet and really hope my future home has other pups to play with! In my foster home, my favorite times are snuggle time, playtime, and dinner time! I'm a pro at cleaning my plate. I am a bit curious about the resident kitty in my foster home, but I promise I've never been anything but polite! I'm well versed in 'sit' and adore a game of fetch. Give me a backyard, and I'll run myself into nap time. While I've got a sweet side, I've also been known to channel my inner American Ninja Warrior and take a hop over short fences. I need to be watched!   I've made many furry and human friends in my foster home, and they all seem to think I'm great! I'm working on mastering the leash and to not bark, but I am getting into the crate when asked! If you have a couch and endless love to give, I'm ready to be yours!"   He is estimated to be between 2-3 years old and 65 lbs. He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots including rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Sammie up north after he is adopted.  To apply to adopt Sammie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 27, 2024, 5:40 pm
