Story
Ozzie is one happy-go-lucky pup with a zest for life. This German Shepherd may have had a rough start, but he's seeking his forever home and is ready to take on the world. This boy thrives on human companionship, making him the perfect addition.Ozzie's dreams are filled with joyful car rides, invigorating outdoor adventures, and quality time with his future loving family. Despite his struggles, this smart and loyal companion has a spring in his step and a heart full of love. Ozzie is in need of a dog experienced home where he can be the ONLY pet and where there are no children under 12. With due diligence and transparency we want to shed light on Ozzie's current health status. Ozzie carries his hips at a greater angle than usual, making his back legs appear lower at the ankle. This might just be his natural build, but we can't guarantee he won't develop hip dysplasia or another orthopedic issue in the future. Since hip x-rays for dysplasia are done after two years of age, Ozzie isn't eligible for evaluation yet. With his unbreakable spirit and affectionate nature, Ozzie is searching for a special adopter who can provide him the active lifestyle and gentle care he deserves. This resilient pup is ready to shower his future family with unwavering loyalty and endless cuddles. You can find the application at https://capeannanimalaid.org/adopt.html

Story
Ellie is about 6 years old. She would do well in a home with a dog or cat. She's very energetic and intelligent. She loves meeting new dogs, going for long walks, and running around the yard. Her favorite way to play is with a tug toy. Ellie knows the commands Sit, Stay, Heel, Come, Down, and Go to Crate. She heels on the right side. Indoors she will reliably follow commands. Outdoors she will tend to follow her nose, but with training she's getting more reliable. Her release word from Sit or Stay is Okay. She knows Go to Crate but I don't crate her currently. Ellie is hand shy around new people, she needs to trust anyone new before she'll allow them to touch her. This can take time, between a couple hours to a few days depending on the situation. She will growl and then nip if someone reaches for her before she is ready. She typically takes treats from new people at a distance using Stay, and must be muzzled at the vet. Adoption fee covers toys + food + flea/tick/heartworm meds.

Story
Meet Moose, a sweet smoosh of a guy looking for a new home! Moose is a young dog who has experienced a great deal of change in his quite short life. This guy is looking for adopters committed to giving him a quiet spot to land while he adjusts and taking each day as it comes. Once settled in and familiar with his routine, Moose is a young active guy who would benefit from adopters who are up for a high energy pup still learning to do a lot of the basics! Moose has the potential to live with a confident role model friend. He has the potential to live with kids whose parents are ready to help get all parties start off on the right foot, especially since he can be quite worried at times. Moose has no history living with cats.Despite being a young guy, Moose has some medical that adopters should be prepared to take on to support him long-term. He currently is on a special diet to support a potential allergy in addition to having a cataract in one of his eyes. Interested adopters can speak with our staff for more information on his medical.Want to meet Moose? Visit the MSPCA at Nevins Farm in MethuenTuesday-Sunday 12PM-4:30PM.

Story
My name is Bella Mia and as you can see, I am a beautiful golden girl that smiles and welcomes everyone I meet with an open heart of friendship.  I am a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that is obviously going to be large and just bigger to love.  They say I was born around February 11, 2023 and for sure I am still very much a puppy even though I weigh 76 pounds.  They whisper behind my back and say that “she is a very smart girl” and that makes me want to be even smarter.  I try to keep my sweet personality showing out there 24/7 even though I am competing for attention from my other large and in charge siblings.  I am learning things but my foster family is busy and they are just maintaining good care for me and my large siblings.  I have energy to burn and I need a fenced yard to run in and someone that will focus on teaching me.  I need a loving and training oriented family who loves to bring a dog from A to Z status.  I survived a very tough start in life and am one of 12 siblings.  Only six of us survived.  I like fun, lots of activity and the hustle and bustle of family.  I need a fenced yard that is 6 ft. tall and it would be best to have me with children who are over 8 years of age because of my large exuberant size.  I am a well-rounded girl that will make your home much more Fun and loving.  If you are interested in making me a part of your life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 19, 2024, 10:09 pm

Meet Jane, an energetic Belgian Malinois mix with a zest for adventure and a heart full of affection! This spirited teenager is perfect for someone seeking a dynamic companion for outdoor activities and/or canine sports. Jane thrives on attention and is eager to bond with her humans, making her a potential wonderful family pet. However, her intelligence and enthusiasm mean she’ll need a bit of extra support to channel her energy positively. Jane has been selective making canine friends, so she’ll need to meet any potential dog siblings before going home. If you’re ready for a high-energy partner who’s as loving as she is lively, Jane could be the perfect match for you!
