Story
MEET LADY BUG! Currently in foster - will be back for meets on Saturday 1/3 in Boston!Lady bug may look like your typical shepherd, but with short little legs she only stands about half as tall as your average german shepherd dog. What she lacks in height, she makes up for her in her larger than life personality. This sweet and silly girl is potty trained and has lived in a traditional home where her family loved her very much. Unfortunatley, due to allergies they had to make the difficult decision to surrender her to a shelter. This isn`t Lady Bug`s first time being adoptable in a shelter either, she was originally adopted after being found as a stray in Texas! This girl has been through so much change in her short life, so she is looking for stability and a low-traffic home without other pets where she can be pampered like she deserves! My friends describe me as: Expressive, Affectionate, CuriousLady Bug is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Lady Bug or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Story
Aspen is an extremely sweet 2 years old dog. She loves her people, and gets super excited when you come home. She does like to jump up to greet you, which can result in the occasional chin-butt. She is very energetic and loves to run, play, and dig when she finds spots of interest. She loves going outdoors and for walks, but can get a bit nervous when meeting new people and animals. When introduced properly, she can get along with other dogs, but due to her resource guarding and that she can be territorial, she should be an only dog. She has a high prey drive and does not get along with cats. She is potty trained, crate trained, and knows all of her basic commands. She hasn't been around a lot of kids, the smallest being 9 years old who she has known since she was a puppy. Her mother was a German Shepherd. Meet and greet and reference(s) required.

Story
When you see Lumi, you will think she is beautiful, regal, stunning. And she is! She is also a dog who has been through a number of recent transitions and can be worried. Lumi was found as a stray so there is no back history on her. What we do know is that she is smart and sweet. She is house trained and crate trained. This good girl loves her sniffy walks or playing with toys in the yard. She is hoping for an adopter who will give her time to decompress and settle in. Lumi will do best with a family that can interpret her body language and help her out as needed. Pretty Lumi could possibly live with another dog or cat, starting with complete separation. And children old enough to practice petting consent might also work. Once she has warmed up to you, Lumi will show you her silly side. Do you think she sounds like the dog for you?

Story
He's the sweetest soul; his pretty brown eyes will make you fall in love. A friend of the family had given us Kobe. He is just about a year old. His birthday is January 5, 2025. He has been crate trained, however we have a very busy schedule and he can benefit from a family that can get him obedience training and have the time and ability to play with him and burn some energy. He's an intelligent dog. He needs to be socialized a bit more with other dogs. He is not violent, but is very curious and likes to sniff people and other dogs to get to know them.

Story
🌟 Foster Needed for February: Meet Tabitha, Our Special Senior German Shepherd 🌟 Tabitha’s story is nothing short of miraculous. She was saved from a heartbreaking area where dogs were often shot for sport. One day, she stumbled upon the right home—a kind person who refused to look away and contacted someone who came to save her. From there, Tabitha found safety at a roadside rescue network and began her long journey toward a better life. For the past few years, Tabitha has been living at the rescue headquarters. During that time, she completed much-needed heartworm treatment and is now healthy and ready to take the next step. Tabitha is a true gem. She loves stealing toys and hiding them in her crate, a playful quirk that melts the hearts of everyone who meets her. She adores being walked by visitors, is crate trained, and is good with other dogs. Her best friend is a male named Winston. However, she isn’t cat-friendly, so her foster home will need to be feline-free. Her salt-and-pepper face tells us she’s a senior, though her exact age is unknown. What we do know is that she’s full of love and deserves a warm, safe place to call home. We’re looking for a foster for February. Can you be the next stop on Tabitha’s incredible journey? If you’re interested in fostering Tabitha, please reach out! Let’s give this amazing girl the love and care she so deeply deserves. We will provide everything you need! 📩 info@bigwavedogrescue.com Foster 🎾 https://www.bigwavedogrescue.org/foster Adopt 🦴 https://www.bigwavedogrescue.org/adopt

Hi, I'm Mars. I'm not a planet, but I am out of this world sweet. I've got a heart as big as the universe and a spirit as bright as the stars. I love cuddling, and I'm always up for a good belly rub. My tail wags like a comet's tail when I see my favorite humans. I love playing fetch, but sometimes, I'd rather just sit by your side and keep you company. I'm good with kids and other pets, too. I'm a simple dog with a lot of love to give. Adopt me, and I promise to be your loyal companion, to love you unconditionally, and to always make your day brighter. I'm Mars, and I'm ready to orbit around your world.
