Meet Heidy — the gorgeous shepherd girl with a heart of pure gold Heidy is the kind of dog who stops you in your tracks — stunning, soulful, and loyal to her core. She’s a true thinker: a thoughtful girl who takes a moment to observe new situations before easing in. Once she feels settled, her whole personality blooms. She bonds deeply with her people and looks to them for reassurance — and when she trusts you, she’ll choose you again and again. Heidy loves other dogs and thrives with a playful pup at home. She’s gentle, sweet, and happiest exploring the outdoors, going for walks, or making a little “nest” out of her toys on the couch or in her crate (it’s adorable ).   This beautiful girl is the perfect blend of thoughtful and fun — a loyal best friend with an old-soul heart and a soft spot for her people. 1–2 yrs old / 50 lbs Stunning shepherd mix Dog friendly + thrives with another playful pup Deeply bonded to her humans; looks for reassurance Thoughtful & gentle in new situations Crate trained & potty trained Altered, vaccinated & microchipped Fostered locally in MA — apply today to meet your new loyal bestie! *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
MEET TREY!This gentle giant is ready to worm his way into your heart! Despite the greying muzzle, this sweet boy is only four years old and still loves romping around with his favourite people and toys. Trey knows quite a few tricks and has been impressing our staff and volunteers with his naturally sweet nature, ability to settle, and his decent leash manners. New things can be scary for this big guy, including new doggy friends so he would likely prefer to live as an only child though he`d be fine living in a neighbourhood with other dogs! This awesome boy could do very well with dog savvy kids who are willing to pamper him! My friends describe me as: gentle, goofy, and sweet natured.Trey is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by our vet team. For more information on Trey or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Story
Affectionate, playful, and always up for a new adventure or challenge, Shiloh will bring lots of joy to his new home. I adopted him in April 2022, when he was 5 months old, as a little brother for my first pup, but have found the demands of raising 2 young working/sporting males in the city - and their behaviors together - to be more than I can manage as a single working mom. Shiloh is house trained, neutered, vaxed, and travels well in the car. Food motivated, he’s got great recall, responds to all the basic commands, learns quickly, luvs 2 please. Seeking active, dog-savvy family who love shepherds and are available most days to walk/hike, cuddle, play. Big enclosed yard and older dog/s (especially female) a bonus. Could also do well in quiet home.

Story
Tabaias is a high energy, rowdy guy, looking for someone who can keep up with his rough and tumble lifestyle. Tabias loves his toys, loves swimming, and has been learning a lot of new skills with positive reinforcement training. Tabias is still working on his manners and learning to navigate the world with all four paws on the ground, so he is looking for a home who is interetsed in a bit of a project dog. Tabias would prefer a home without other dogs or cats so he can be the center of your attention, but he could be successful in a home with kids who can participate in his training.

Meet Atlas!Atlas is a find for anyone looking for a Shepherd mix as a canine companion. He`s a young 4 year old who came to us from a local animal control with his bestie Daisy! Both companions are currently in search for a home that they can call their own! You will instantly fall in love with his big brown eyes, floppy ears and friendly personality. He enjoys the company of people and truly enjoys sniffy walks and other adventures. He may be able to live with another dog pending a dog meet. He knows some of his basic cues like Name Game and sit. He gets excited so he may not sit for a long time but he is learning! If he sounds like the dog you`ve always been looking for please come by to meet him - he won`t dissappoint! My friends describe me as: Adventurous, playful, friendly.Atlas is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Atlas or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
Aspen is an extremely sweet 2 years old dog. She loves her people, and gets super excited when you come home. She does like to jump up to greet you, which can result in the occasional chin-butt. She is very energetic and loves to run, play, and dig when she finds spots of interest. She loves going outdoors and for walks, but can get a bit nervous when meeting new people and animals. When introduced properly, she can get along with other dogs, but due to her resource guarding and that she can be territorial, she should be an only dog. She has a high prey drive and does not get along with cats. She is potty trained, crate trained, and knows all of her basic commands. She hasn't been around a lot of kids, the smallest being 9 years old who she has known since she was a puppy. Her mother was a German Shepherd. Meet and greet and reference(s) required.
