Story
We got Tilly as a rescue a while back when we had a huge house with a big yard. Now we live in a small apartment and it's just not working out as we hoped. She loves people but takes a little while to warm up to dogs if she's on-leash. Great inside the fence at dog parks!

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely noGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesBrutus is a good-natured, happy go lucky guy who is embracing all life has to offer. He is a medium energy boy who loves to start his day with a nice walk around the neighborhood or some playtime in the yard.Brutus absolutely loves being part of a family, and basks in his human’s affection. He's happy to join his family for any activity whether it be a walk or sleeping on the floor while his family is watching a movie, he's there. He loves hearing that he is a “good boy” and happily accepts all the pets and kisses. With his playful nature Brutus adores children, especially when they want to play with him or give him lots of love and hugs. He would do best in a home with school aged children as he is a big boy, with an even bigger heart. Brutus enjoys playing with dogs of all shapes, ages and sizes, which makes him the perfect candidate for doggy daycare.Brutus is fully house and crate trained. He enters his crate on command, with the help of a tasty treat and sleeps all night without a peep. When his foster family goes to work he happily enjoys a frozen treat or gnaws on a bone in his crate until his family returns. Brutus is a fast learner and has already mastered a plethora of commands in his foster home including (but not limited to): sit, rest, heel, crate, etc and even knows his release word “free”.   Brutus loves going for walks with his family and heels on his handler’s left side. If he gets distracted he quickly redirects and looks to his humans for guidance. Brutus has excellent house manners and would fit into any family that is ready to shower this big ole teddy bear with all the love and affection.Could Brutus be the missing piece to complete your family? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Ellie is about 6 years old. She would do well in a home with a dog or cat. She's very energetic and intelligent. She loves meeting new dogs, going for long walks, and running around the yard. Her favorite way to play is with a tug toy. Ellie knows the commands Sit, Stay, Heel, Come, Down, and Go to Crate. She heels on the right side. Indoors she will reliably follow commands. Outdoors she will tend to follow her nose, but with training she's getting more reliable. Her release word from Sit or Stay is Okay. She knows Go to Crate but I don't crate her currently. Ellie is hand shy around new people, she needs to trust anyone new before she'll allow them to touch her. This can take time, between a couple hours to a few days depending on the situation. She will growl and then nip if someone reaches for her before she is ready. She typically takes treats from new people at a distance using Stay, and must be muzzled at the vet. Adoption fee covers toys + food + flea/tick/heartworm meds.
